A capsule wardrobe is a collection of curated and though out items of clothes which can be interchanged with each other. This is the one I have been waiting for Carla! Thank you. By selecting a mixture of basics (tops with different necklines/sleeve lengths, jeans and blazer) and showstopper pieces with different prints, sheens, fabric weights and garment shapes, you created a masterful capsule that no one would get bored with. I loved that you took the time to film the combos with footwear and accessories to demonstrate the capsule's versatility. I am INSPIRED! I've sadly had other people tell me what to wear most of my life, like 33 years of it. If i wore what i wanted i was labelled a devil worshipper because urban/gothic feminine is my style. Now I can finally wear what I want but have no clue how to build a wardrobe so this helped a lot thank you!

This was extremely helpful and I love the idea of "decaf goth", I feel like that fits my style more than regular goth. Also glad I stayed til the end for the bloopers.

I’m 28 and feel like I’m just now coming into my own in terms of fashion. It’s sort of a weird time, but I’ve basically worn what I thought was “acceptable” or what my parents didn’t say “no” or “haha” too. So now I’m alternative!
Love the wardrobe. Much more my style than most capsules. I have about half the things and will look into adapting it to age 67.
Love this video and your style! My favorite work outfit was a magenta button-down top, black pants and leopard ballet flats. I just thought it was so cool, lol
I would love for you to style me, but alas I live in Hades (Florida in US) and basically live in a tank top and shorts 90% of the year. I am jealous you can wear a jacket at the start of your summer, or even pants- I can’t even do that in winter a lot of the time. 😂
I would love suggestions on knowing what looks good on you. Knowing what colors really work, suit your body type, etc. I’ve seen other videos but they were so complicated.

Question: Could you show at some point how you tie your open/over shirt/blouse with putting the waist belt with it? Like do you tuck that under the belt to hold it? Hope that makes sense ☺️
Upon rewatching.. i see the tied top over the dress is just tied above the belt 😊. Do you have a specific way to tie that top up that doesn’t fall out? If i do things like that i always seem to have to redo the tie somehow. I just havent found a great way to not have to fuss with it periodically
Really enjoyed this video. I'm not big into fashion, but the basic ideas that you shared have given me some ideas to change my wardrobe so it's easier to mix and match and not have to worry about it. Thank you. A seasonal wardrobe video might be great for those of us that have little fashion sense

Thank you for this video. I like the capsule wardrobe idea but most of the videos on the topic are way to sedate for me.
I'm 52 and have recently been ill so I've gained a bit of weight. Most of the things you suggest wouldn't work for me right now but they've given me some great ideas. As well, because of my age my aesthetic is a bit more 80's and 90's Rock'n'Roll. I'd go for a long skirt with a high slit at the side and rather than including boots with platforms would opt for thigh high boots without a heel. ... and of course I have the biker jacket and a black blazer.

Love this ❤ I'm not a skirt girl and have short think legs so what works for that. Oh and if I'm going to see a band I'm wearing that bands shirt lol 😂 thank you for this video. I'm trying to re new my wardrobe at 40 and it's not easy when fashion and body isn't what it was. I'm also not into dresses you look so fab and done well after weight loss.
I just realised that I don’t have a style, I just buy things that fit and don’t look too bad! I’m down 44 lbs and I’m so looking forward to being able to experiment with clothes from all of the shops and buy all of the things!! At present, I find it stressful shopping for a bigger figure , size 20/22, with few shops catering for plus size, and if they do, the larger sizes have sold out!
I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe, and this may be the way forward as I loose more weight and not waiting for the end goal, any ideas or tips would be appreciated?

Great video. Love the respectful and considered approach you have to everything. Just wanted to throw in the second hand option. I went from a size 12/14 to 6/8 last year. I sold my entire old wardrobe on Vinted and used the money to buy a new one on Vinted. So much fun. Really good quality items in great condition and you can try out new things etc Highly recommended

I just bought a TON of shirts, sweaters, pants, belts, purses, boots, sandals and even a dress from Temu. Im so excited forvthe package to come! And this is literally how all the pieces i bought work. They can all be interchanged with each other.

Nice video. Not sure I agree with the idea that wearing a band T-shirt to their own gig is always a faux pas. I used to think that when I was younger but now I think it depends on the band or the artist. I was at a morrissey gig the other day and literally 90% of the crowd were wearing morrissey or smiths shirts. I wore a morrissey tank top there as well and in the past I would never do that but it felt nice to be a part of something.
I definitely have an alternative style like yours and I call myself a lazy goth, meaning I love the style but I'm often too lazy to do all the makeup and accessories. I do prefer pops of color like teal, acid green and hot pink within the black, so I would sub that in instead of the leopard print. Btw I actually wore a short dress for the first time in public the other day at the hotel cafe when I was there for the Morrissey gig. Still have about 10 pounds to lose but it was nice to be able to do that. Thanks for the video Carla, really enjoy all your fashion content.

This drove it home how I have let myself go for DECADES!!! I even had a little cry. Once upon a time I used to make a daily effort in both clothes & makeup. I refuse to buy clothes because I feel 'dumpy' in anything and then feel worse because I bought it because I had to. I stress when I have to go out and try my best with the few things I feel attractive in. I always look unkept 😔 My summer wardrobe is adequate but I just look and feel so big in winter clothes and am JUST making my way through Australian winter like I do every year so as of today, I have to drop my negative attitude toward myself, plan my clothes, accessories and make-up the night before, put on happy face and be the best me ... I cant believe Ive been in a funk soooooooo long. Thank you Carla. You you truly touch and inspire in ways you may never have thought of 💞
