I've just now realized how impressive the shadows actually are in this game. Normally, games have to pick between soft shadows and crisp shadows but this one actually has realistic light scattering where the character's shadows have a sharp edge near their feet but then fade out as they get further away. Good attention to detail in this one. Maybe Micky is right this is a hidden gem.
hearing Ron repeat the potion ingredient line gave me total flashbacks to playing this as a kid, this part is exactly where I think I left off. i'd always fly Buckbeak around the castle in the snow
The uncanny silence from our heroes is rather spooky if you ask me. They have no mouths but they must scream as they continue delving further into Flitwick's dungeon to collect a book which they can only hope actually exists. It's the perfect Halloween video.
Hey man, don't forget to revisit Fred and George when you're in the Hogwarts "overworld." And visit them with each character because they sell different things to each. Hermione gets a spell from them too, I think. Snufflifors, if I remember ccorrectly. Oh, and the board in the common room has more quests for house points.

And after visiting with Ron and him being given different items from Hermione, I tried it with all three. Ron and Hermione also get side quests that provide different rewards when you check in with F&G.

I hope you play the pc version sometime. So much is different. Like using Glacius. Harry learns Glacius by himself so only he can use it in the pc version. They each have their own "unique" spell.

I don't know if anyone has told you this, but you could have a lot more beans by now. You get most of your beans in this game by casting flipendo at stuff in the environment like the trophies, vases, suits of armor & things like that. You can't aim at them directly (I don't think), so you just have to be facing in their general direction, and the flipendo will home in on them. It might take a couple tries if you're too close or too far, but, yeah, that's how you'll end up getting most of 'em.
