Tim couch wasn’t that bad. Dwight Clark forgot to draft Offensive lineman to protect him. And the skill position players that they drafted outside of KJ85 sucked. Morgan, Northcutt, and Davis when your could of had Driver, Smith Sr, Chad Johnson, and Deion Branch, Coles, Dante Hall.
I think the biggest bust for the Cowboys was Taco Charlton. Especially with TJ Watt available. Knowing that the Cowboys draft room was debating on Taco or Watt makes it even more painful.
Bengals in the 1985 draft took Eddie Brown receiver, should’ve took Jerry rice who went 3 picks later. I wasn’t alive but three years later, The San Francisco 49ers beat the Bengals in the Super Bowl 20 to 16. Jerry Rice was the MVP had 215 yards
I was a big Tim Couch fan and I knew it was going to be a disaster when he went to the Browns because they had no offensive line or weapons for him, I think any quarterback (including Tom Brady himself) would have failed in that system.
And for the Redskins, RW3 would have been just as ruined as RG3, because Shannahan always ruins their black stud by riding them into the ground. He did it his entire coaching career.
I’m a bears fan and I think it’s sage to say that if we drafted Mahomes there’s no way he would have been good for us but Watson would have been a different story
I can't consider Tim Couch a bust. If the Browns had drafted McNabb he might not have had any better luck than Couch did without blocking! Pittsburgh should have taken Marino instead of Gabriel Rivera!
Daunte Culpepper threw for 4,700 yards, 39 TDs, and 11 INTs in 2004… it made ZERO sense to draft a QB at #7. Drafting Roddy White or Vincent Jackson would make more sense.
I feel like the hard choice for the Packers in this hypothetical is which Sanders to take, Barry or Deion? Deion Sanders in that defense would definitely have been something, but having Barry Sanders and Brett Favre in the same offense (not to mention taking Barry Sanders away from a division rival in the process) is pretty hard to pass up -- and that's before you even consider that pairing them together could actually have produced *even more* than each of them did separately.
You picked the wrong Sanders for Green Bay. Imagine Barry Sanders and Brett Favre in the same backfield with Reggie White and that D. Would've been an all time dynasty.
everyone forgets the bengals in 2001 turning down 9 picks including 3 1st rounds and 3 2nd rounders to go ahead and pick akili smith. Go ahead, try to remember who akili smith is without using google
In hindsight as a Cardinals fan, we should have taken Lamar Jackson over Josh Rosen as well. I freakin love Kyler but we wouldn’t have had to go through that awful season to seize the number 1 pick.
This video is kinda bad. 1. Dak isn't too 10 in the NFL. Y'all are on crack if you are saying he is. 2. The bears should have gone with Dashaun Watson instead. He could carry an offense with very few offensive line pieces to the playoffs, and while Patrick Manholes is amazing and I'm not denying that, he had a much better o-line and skill positions core.
Day 1 of asking for: What your favorite team would have looked like if they took the next pick after their biggest bust of all time. Did they draft another bust??
As a Browns fan, Couch shouldn't be here. Draft any number of the 1st rounders from the 14 draft over Justin Gilbert. Odell, Donald, Fuller, Martin, Mosley, Cooks, or Dix. Like others have said, I've sure coming to Cleveland they probably wouldn't have had the same career, but almost anyone would've been better than Gilbert.
For the Steelers, I would've used the 2013 draft bust of jarvis jones. We could've had xavier rhodes or deandre hopkins that year. 2016 draft bust Artie Burns also comes to mind and that pick could've been used on xavien howard or Michael thomas
Thought it would be Justin Jefferson for us because we picked Reagor the very next pick was Jefferson and yeah ik how that went i and it still haunts me to this day
Since when will the mad lad himself Ryan Pace learn to lighten up and make wiser picks over poor picks to redeem himself from his magnificent stupidity of drafting Mitchell Trubisky over Patrick Mahomes?! What he did was inexcusable but he might eventually pay the price from his brutality and lack of wise decisions!
You got the wrong Sander for the Packers. They should have take Barry Sanders. They would have been unstoppable in the 90s with that O-Line, Favre, solid receivers, and Barry Sanders. Barry behind an all pro O-Line would have been the greatest running back in NFL history by THOUSANDS of yards
The fact that Minnesota passed on Aaron Rodgers TWICE in 2005 is just simply PAINFUL!! Now, they have to play him TWICE a year and he makes Green Bay a playoff caliber team every season.. SMH.. 🤦♂ Would be a dream to finally have a capable starting quarterback with Hall of Fame merits.
@@yourepathetic6706 Not true at all the guy benefited from playing in near perfect weather half the year and he was also the Best protected quarterback in NFL history only being sacked an NFL record of 3.13% of the time also his offensive line was so damn good that he got to throw an NFL record of 759 consecutive passes Without being sacked
@@yourepathetic6706 and even though Tom had to play in New England half the season without the greatest protection in NFL history he still posted a career completion percentage that is 8.1% higher than Dan Marino
The 63rd pick being in the 3rd round seems weird. Fluke pick for a fluke dude. I love both Kelces btw. I have an autographed jersey from Jason. Maybe Trav one day too...
Omg. It makes me sick that my Lions could have had Troy Polomalu (don't mind my bad spelling). Instead we took the worst WR that was ever in the league..... makes me sick.
Some of these are decidedly unfair. In my mind, a bust is someone who simply doesn't get it done. If injuries are the reason, I can't hit them with that label. Steve Emtman is a good example. If he had been healthy, he likely makes his share of Pro Bowls. Moss slipped, not due to talent, but off the field issues. The Vikings had Cris Carter to act as "Big Brother", which made it a better fit. Paxton Lynch graded out better athletically than pretty much any QB in his class, including Prescott. Problem....mechanics are often an issue for those beyond a certain height. He was a project who fit the scheme well. Prescott, was drafted where he should have been. Dallas was as shocked as anyone when he stepped right in . Personally, given that they ran the Shanahan offense at the time, I wanted Atlanta to take Dak as an heir to Ryan and deal Matt for a package of picks within a couple of years at the most.
How many GMS are kicking themselves in the nads for the 2000 draft class? 6 times... To include Belicheck, who waited until a comp pick to make the call...
So sick of people shitting on Mitchell Trubisky. I'm not even a Bears fan, but how typical to call him a bust. Wasn't he the last quarterback to get the bears into the playoffs?... Twice? He had a shit coach too... And a bad kicker.
If the Ram kept Bettis they would have never been the greatest show on turf because Marshall Faulk would have never joined. Phillips was a disaster but he did unintentionally start the greatest offense ever seen, by being a failure.
Josh Allen would sadly be a disaster as a Jet because the Bills had a great coaching staff they where able to make him a much better passer, Adam Gase would have completely wasted him.
The 49ers didn't draft Josh Rosen, the Cardinals did. The 49ers drafted Alex Smith instead of Rodgers. While Rodgers is a better QB than Smith, had Rodgers gone to the 49ers in 05, he would have had a much worse career than Smith did. Smith was mentally tough enough to allow him to overcome the 49ers, Rodgers can't even handle deserved criticism without crying like a little b!+(h.
Dak top 10 qb since stepping on the field? You must be high. Also I think the bears should’ve gone with Watson. Watson has been able to perform on some lackluster teams
Mamula wasn't great but still notched 30 sacks. Disappointing sure but our eagles got something for him. I was thinking Jerome McDougall who we traded up 10 spots for in 2001 I believe would be here and as you say it could have easily been Reagor.
Ok I'm tired of hearing about Patrick Mahomes being drafted by another team in the top 10 draft picks, everyone looked at the Texas Tech season record and obviously didn't see anything in him and no one knew how good he would be. I don't think he would've done good in Chicago or Houston with the coaching staff they had, so it's not a guaranteed that he would be the great player he is now if was with Matt Nagy or Bill O'Brian
It would have been a tragedy if Josh Allen went to a shity team we wouldn't see the greatness we see today if he went to the jets and if he did if I was him I would have pulled an Eli manning and demanded a trade from the team or just not played that entire season if they didn't and do that for my entire contract
Mitch was not the Bears worse ever draft pick we did at least have some success from him how about Cade McNown instead of anyone Curtis Enis instead of Randy Moss

EVERY TEAM BUT THE TEXANS PASSED ON TOM BRADY AT LEAST 3 TIMES
I think Isaiah Wilson is the biggest bust for the titans. Yeah Vince Young was a bust but he was a 2x Pro Bowler and rookie of the year.
I’m a bears fan and I think it’s sage to say that if we drafted Mahomes there’s no way he would have been good for us but Watson would have been a different story
I 100% agree that Watson would have been a safer pick for the Bears. They would have never developed Patrick like the Chiefs have done.
As a fellow bears fan I couldn’t agree more
Video idea: 10 NFL Draft Busts Players that were one and done in an NFL season.
The Vikings never were going to draft a QB in 2005. Dante Culpepper was still playing and was still good.

10 "Worst" NFL Draft Classes based on HoF, Pro Bowl selections or Impact on the Game.
1992 draft comes to mind as somewhat underwhelming.
Daunte Culpepper threw for 4,700 yards, 39 TDs, and 11 INTs in 2004… it made ZERO sense to draft a QB at #7. Drafting Roddy White or Vincent Jackson would make more sense.
Na dallas should have definitely been randy moss that haunted us badly
as a bears fan mahomes would have died under us and he was also considered a project coming out of college.
No kidding, I think Chicago grabbing Cedric Benson instead of Aaron Rodgers was a bigger draft loss
In my opinion, if the chiefs and bears switched QB. Nothing would change; Mitch Turbisky would be among the elite, and Mahomes would be a bust
Pittsburgh Steelers lament not drafting Dan Marino in 1983. The Chief never let his son forget on passing on the Pitt QB.

John Abraham was a jet!
As a Pats Fan, if I could redraft, I would replace N’Keal Harry with DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, or Deebo Samuel.
Or even Hunter Renfrow
Nkeal harry at blocking >>>>all those you jus named
As a Jets fan, Josh Allen would be in the same situation Darnold is now if we drafted him.
Donovan McNabb wouldn’t have been the best player for the Browns in 1999 they should’ve either taken Champ Bailey or Edgerrin James
Vince Young isn’t the BIGGEST bust in Titans’ history. That honor belongs to Isaiah Wilson
I wouldn’t count Vince Young the biggest bust for the Titans Jack Locker was worse. And RG3 def ain’t the biggest bust for the Commanders.

I was thinking the exact same thing.
Derrick Brooks is one of the most complete linebackers in NFL history. He would do anything that was asked of him.
Fav video here mainly bc I like to think about how different outcome in the world could be
Honestly Donovan would have been a bust here
Ravens would’ve liked Abram but that would’ve lead to never drafting Suggs most likely so I’m fine with how it went down
