He’s told jokes on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central, Netflix’s Bonding, Don’t Tell, The Real Housewives of New York for some reason, and he was a JFL New Face in 2022. He’s acted in Billy Crystal’s Here Today, Hustlers, The Last OG, and in his theater days shared the stage with some people who’ve gone on to become huge real estate agents. It would take a normal comic a year to make a great 10 minute act that's as good as this.
I saw him at Mall of America during the late show. He only used one old joke everything else was new material he was trying out all gold

The crowd work must've been tough, we Germans like to explain jokes away 😅. I saw so many times that somebody told a joke and instead of laughter they just get an "🤓 well, ackshually..."
The best joke I ever told in Germany STILL had about 50% of the Germans trying to explain why it was impossible for me to speak a potato.

People always say Germans have no sense of humor, but as someone who lives in the southern part of the US, at least Germans know how to laugh at themselves.
I really felt you: as Italian living in a foreign country, I don't speak to italians, I always switch to my second language so Italians can't recognise me 🤣

Love this, especially as a German. Most of us don't feel any national pride (logically), which is fine, and our public image has improved since the 2000's with the Internet and all. But it would be nice if the cliché that we don't have a sense of humour would slowly go away too 😅 That said I know a lot of people who have sticks up their butts when you wanna be funny with them, like colleagues and such 🤔
I learned this during Eurovision when the German representative appeared with a rainbow flag instead of a German flag, and while some other people were offended on their behalf, all the Germans were just like "we don't care about our own flag" lol I wish people in the US could be more similar to Germans when it comes to national pride.
Nah Germans should have national pride, much more culture and history than 1933-1945

@@MustardAndFries there's also more to patriotism than the idolisation of a flag. Some countries imbue their flag with immense emotional importance; for others, it's just a representative design. Understanding their living history (both fascism and communism), you can appreciate why some Germans might have less reverence for state symbolism.
While Germany has a deeper cultural history than the 1933-1945 period, Nazism was built upon a corruption of that cultural history. Nazism didn't spring out of nowhere, but was preceded by generations of militant nationalism and pseudoscientific antisemitism as part of the _völkische movement_ , which then used German culture as propoganda. After the war, there was a process of reclaiming their culture from that ideology, and part of that process of reinvention was the aversion to the excessive idealisation of their nation state. Germany is one of the few countries in the world which appreciates where collective narcissism can lead, _and also_ takes responsibility not to allow it to do so again. Other countries, not so much.

There is a cliché that we don't laugh. It's kind of true because we don't just laugh. We want to think about a joke to understand it, which is why we can be a very tough audience.
Usually a light comes on to signal the German audience when they can laugh. Apparently we forgot to turn it off at your show. In the name of the crew, we deeply apologize.
You should test your jokes in Israel one day
He has to make jokes about that because the trauma is really deep- I mean on all sides both my grandparents are refugees from war and I am German and I still notice a lot of war related stuff inside myself, so when cruel stuff happens no one wins
And for this I was struggling to learn English for decades ---- So I'd say "Wenn du aufs Häuschen gehst und dich dann dort in die Muschel stellst und dann noch aufs Knopferl druckst, spühlts dich hoffentlich gleich mithinunter" --- (I could translate it but hey -- I've got faith in Google because contrary to Jesus I'm sure that Google is listening to me) Anyway you know what you can do to me. (Not sure if this phrase might be offensive across the ocean but hey I never said I was English or American as if this makes any difference anywhere)
