Never let her go mate. I miss my old falcon every single day and night since it was stolen 12 years ago. Hearing that 302 almost brought me to tears. I love your build.
@Real Dudes Party Nude wow. Show your sorry true ignorance. Of course TH-cam is free to comment whatever you want. With that said, your comment is sorry as hell. He did the car the way he wanted and could do. But there will always be smart ass haters like you, just to cut someone or something down. All because YOU don't like it. Its sad and pathetic. But not going to argue with you because believe mark twain said it best "its best not argue with a FOOL, on lookers may not be able to tell the difference." But your name says a lot, especially 'bout your character. Well that and your comment. Dude works hard to build a car he loves, and you comment what you did. Really? World will always be full of people like you.😂
the feel of driving a vehicle that you brought to life with your own two hands, when you have touched and turned every bolt; wrestled with the very heart and soul of the thing. To know a car so intimately, that it becomes more than just a machine, but a living thing with whom you have a serious relationship. Yes I can see that you understand.
Gotta say, this is the most attractive falcon I think I've ever seen! Your choice of color and wheels are absolutely perfect in my eyes. And the way you got the car to sit is perfect as well
I had one of these. She was my very 1st car. A '64 Falcon Sprint convertible. I was red w/ red interior, bench seat, factory 4-speed, 260 v8. Thought it was a 289 hi-po, but when i went to rebuild the engine, I found out it was a 260 w/289 hi-po heads and a 500 cfm holly 2-bbl carb. It had a white convertible top. The car was only 4 yrs old when I bought it used for 1200.00. It had blk painted wheels, chrome trim rings, and baby moon hubcaps. I reall LOVED that car! She was my pride and joy!! Seeing your car brings back all kinds of good memories. You have really done a GREAT job of bringing her back from the dead. I sincerely hope you have as many great times with her as I had w/mine!!
Shane, thanks so much for sharing your beautiful Ford Falcon with us all! Don't worry about the money you've put into it! You may or may not be able to recoup those funds when and if you ever sell it, but your own personal enjoyment, pride of ownership, comfort, safety, and joy are ALWAYS good investments! Enjoy it and make no apologies to anyone! I was born in the Bronx, NYC, in January 1964. In June of 1964 my late Dad bought my late Mom a brand new 1964 Ford Falcon Futura sedan from Laurie Ford in Morris Plains, NJ. It was "Springtime Yellow" (to this day I still LOVE yellow cars!), with a Silver/Gray interior. It was smooth riding, nimble (170 C.I. inline 6 cyl engine), easy to drive and to park, and just the right size for my Mom, who was a very "petite" lady, 5' tall and maybe 100 lbs). She loved that Falcon! It was still in daily reliable service to our family when it was traded in (1977) for...wait for it...a bright Orange AMC Gremlin! When Dad would reflect on the life changing events of 1964, years later, he would mention the birth of a son, (me) in January, and would always talk about the much beloved Falcon...he mostly talked about the Falcon if the truth be told! :)
Nice work young man . I had one in 1976 got it two weeks before I turned sixteen, work all summer for it . Had a six cylinder, 3 speed on the floor sixths on the back with ET slots , and of course a 8 track . Hope you have as many good times in yours as I did .
This is a beautiful car man. The '64 falcon is my dream car, love the body lines, love the interior, love the car in general it's perfect..very nice car
'64' and '65' Falcons had the greatest styling and the engines, 6 cyl. or 8 cyl. were all bullet proof. These cars were some of the unsung heroes of the mid '60's for sure.
Very cool. I especially love that you have touched and seen every square inch of your car. Keep it for life and you'll have the reward of all the memories it brought you.
When i was a kid growing up neighbor had 641/2ford falcon sprint i watched it being restored and perfectly built to a extreme standard! I'm a Rhode Islander, and he had completed it with the license plate (COBRA), I can still picture it in my mind ripping four gears of posi. Oh I didn't mention convertible, metallic green on black interior, built 289 with 400 plus h.p. 4 11's with proper reinforced suspension to keep that amazing power to the ground!
'64 was the best looking Falcon ever. In 1968 at 16 and 1/2 half I bought my very first car. A '64 Falcon Futura convertible (with borrowed money from dad of course). $895. dollars and I was the proudest kid in my high school parking lot. That car was gorgeous.
thats exactly how I want to be. At 17, for a few grand I can have myself a hard top blue Futura with a rebuilt 6 cyl. I am just really worried about insurance if I buy it :(
I always come back to this video, love this car, have my own classic. Kinda the same story, I've been slowly working on mine for years, almost finished...
I did the same thing i bought a 63 ford fairlane 500 at age 20 for 900 gave the guy 500 down and 4 payments of 100 over 4 weeks i fixed it up i put probly 25 thousand into over the course of 5 years made it brand new then someone ran a stop sign and slammed into me and killed it but didnt kill me! I had the car for 15 years its been 3 years since i sold it so someone could give it a good home i miss my 63 but since ive had a 67 plymouth i rebuilt the 383 and sold it to get a garage kept 67 impala that i now drive daily! These cars have personality style and class! U just have to have a love for these cars and know how to weld and build!
This made my whole day. thanks. i have a 64 Falcon Ranchero. Thanks for the idea for the disk break conversion, I am going to do the same. beautiful car.
Love these! Mom had a 63 grocery getter. Lost the keys once. Being 14 yrs. Old of course I hot wired it so we could get to the key man. She never looked at me the same!💝
I'm soon to get my Dad's 65 Falcon Futura. Hardtop, maroon in color. All original, I think it has a 170 engine. But it's been sitting over 25 years in his garage. Like you, it's more sentimental...great memories I had as a child growing up with it. I have my garage all cleaned out, just waiting for that day. I just hope it's not so rusted. From what I can see, it's still in good shape. I hope to post some video of it someday. Thanks for the great video!
Are you waiting for your dad to pass away an even has a space in your garage for his car? Sounds weird. It is 4 months later. I hope he is at a good health and will live for over 100 years..
No, not at all. He is moving into another house. He asked me if I wanted it. It's been sitting in his garage for over 25 years. So it will be a big restoration project for me.
I had a '65 Falcon, plain jane. 144, manual, 2dr sedan. Maroon with metallic flakes. Options? Radio and heater. Bought used in '71 when I got out of the Navy. No road rocket, but got me there and back. Slow and easy and it would go anywhere. I swear, I think it was part Jeep at times. Developed electrical problems after six years no one could track down. Like selling a child when I had to let it go and kick myself often for doing so but cash was tight and all.
I see a cherry red 1965 ford falcon almost everyday. Had to do my research. That car is my goal. Thank you for the video I know where I'm investing my money
Keep up the good work. I still have my original High School car that I bought in 1981. A '65 Mustang Fastback, which I gave a complete disassembly/rebuild when I bought it. It is now due for a complete restomod by a professional, now that I can afford it. I also recently purchased a California '63 Falcon convertible, which will eventually get a "restomod". Additional note: my brother still has his original, unrestored, '65 Shelby GT350, numbers matching car that he purchased in 1974......sheeesh!
NEVER SELL YOUR FIRST CAR. Lost my 2 favorites in the late 60s 🙄. Now I have/kept my Son's HS car for 32 yrs. His all time favorite. (He has a twin car, I have his🤔)
thats the best looking 64 falcon ive seen, your lucky, the nearest we can get is the 65 aussie built futura hardtop with only a 6, just not the same! well done awesome car!
Please Keep those wheels and tires! They are so cool! My dad owned about a half dozen Falcons. My brother has two Falcons a car and a truck. I broke the mold and went with a 1971 Mustang Mach 1 ! Don't get me wrong, I would love a Falcon, I want the one Mell Gibson drove in "Road Warrior"! ;) Stan
+Driving While Awesome HEY!!!! I Have A Car You Can Film......Wait....Where Are You Based?.....You In America? If So....Nevermind....But If Your In Aus, I Have A 63 Bug
Nice job Shane! It's cool just to see that you still HAVE your first car at all...I'm not a Ford guy, but if I were to put effort into one,it would be a mid to late '60's Falcon. I hope your interior turns out as good body and paint. Keep it up man.
Looks great so far, the colour suits the body shape & chrome & stainless contrasts it nicely. Yep, cars are a money pit usually, but look what you get back for it, the experience & enjoyment & you got a very cool looking two door Ford you can use, cruise & enjoy everyday. Hats off to you & thanks for sharing!
Good for you. Very nice Falcon. Love the 63-65 falcons. The 4.6 and T5 work like a dream in your Falcon. It is so quick and cruises like a big car. Very reliable and efficient.
I have been a fan of the 1963 Falcon Sprint since they hit the market and honestly I did not like the 1964 model styling when it was introduced, not at all. But this one is amazing. Awesome job!
Love your Falcon. I have a 62 Comet. Coyote Gen3 w/matching 6spd, low mileage. I kinda wish I had kept it simple. I'll be drivin over to LA soon so maybe we can visit. I have a brand new VintageAire under dash unit if youre interested.
i can totally relate to this. my youth was spent under my 67 charger. every bolt. every bracket. every wire. off and back on the car. always poor. always smiling. 440 that got 4-6MPG. cause i never got the handle on proper tuning of a spark plug burning big block. hehe. i would bring sandpaper every where i went. she would foul a plug every 3 days of driving. (still have her. Betty.) see pic. now, she has aluminum heads, 440, 850 dbl, sealed ram air, purple cam, 3" exhaust to flowmasters cut before axle, 3:91, mickey T's on 18x10 - 18x12, LED tail lights.

I bought a 69 falcon when i was 15 i tore it down like you and put it all back togeyherlike 3 years later and my mom hated my car to i finnally put a 429 ch in it and boy it was fun but i had to let her go no place to work on it or puut it so i hope that its still around it was flawless no russet no dents its in Everett Washington some where and ism 52 this next month i wisjh to find it some day
I have a ton more respect for a car built with blood, sweat and tears than a car built with cubic $$. Sweet ride!
Never let her go mate. I miss my old falcon every single day and night since it was stolen 12 years ago. Hearing that 302 almost brought me to tears. I love your build.
I wish Ford would make a modern day retro version of the 64 Falcon. Car design's of today really need that nostalgia touch.
moofushu I don't think they will the. Ford mustang was based of the falcon.
I agree they should and a modern galaxy 500
No

as someone that bought and rebuilt a 64 falcon at 15 in the 90s, I love this project man. She's absolutely beautiful.
The 64 falcons are Beautiful cars
I'm a Chevy guy, but it's hard to resist a beautiful Ford Falcon!
Luiz Chevelle every chevy guy has to say he’s a Chevy guy. Just admit you love all cars and call it a fucking day I hate your branders.

funny, just found a blue 64 falcon with a rebuilt 6cyl. Im 17 and its a dream car that I can have, but will insurance be too much?
@@zakr7429 I got a 1969 Ford Falcon, got it insured for 175$ for the whole year.
be proud of that color choice it caught my eye immediately while understated it is awesome
Very cool. I especially love that you have touched and seen every square inch of your car. Keep it for life and you'll have the reward of all the memories it brought you.
I had a 64 sprint convertible as a young man. LOVED the car. Had to sell it when I lost my job. Sad. I miss that car soooo much.
OMG, in the 1970s I had one that looked just like that - same color, same wheels, everything!
When i was a kid growing up neighbor had 641/2ford falcon sprint i watched it being restored and perfectly built to a extreme standard! Beautiful 64! Look forward to seeing it at a local cruise.
I love stories like this. My youngest is currently doing an 82 Stang. Rock on Bro.
I don't even like falcons because the back lights but yours is so beautiful and makes me want one!
You put in the work, you deserve to enjoy it young man. Gotta respect your perseverance. Nice....
how could you hate something like this this car is bloody beautiful
She's a beauty! I'm still driving my 65 Futura convertible, purchased in 69.
After listening to this video. I got to get my 84 bronco 2 rolling again.. it some WHAT trick out already..got to bring it back to life
I learned to drive in a 64 Falcon. Love this car.
Hey Shane, thats an awsome car. I think the 64 is the best year for the falcon. I think they have more character than the mustangs by far.
I'm in love with that car...
Love the color. what color is that?
'64 was the best looking Falcon ever. In 1968 at 16 and 1/2 half I bought my very first car. A '64 Falcon Futura convertible (with borrowed money from dad of course). $895. dollars and I was the proudest kid in my high school parking lot. That car was gorgeous.

I'll bet you wish you still had it.
I always come back to this video, love this car, have my own classic. Kinda the same story, I've been slowly working on mine for years, almost finished...
My first car was a '64 Falcon Futura with a 4 speed. Had a real good time with it! Love your video.
If I wasn’t already in love with f100s, this would be my car! So perfect!
Sweet ride and great job. Who the heck thumb downs a video like this ?
I love the '64 falcon. This one is awesome with the 5.0. Thanks for the video.
Nice build! I love the stance, the color, and especially the fact that you swapped the 5-speed and better brakes.
Stunning car. Love this kind of story's.
Thanks Manuel!

This made my whole day. thanks. i have a 64 Falcon Ranchero. Thanks for the idea for the disk break conversion, I am going to do the same. beautiful car.
Excellent ride, you should be so proud.
Man I bought a 1960 ford falcon couple of weeks ago and I'm very excited to start the restoration your video inspired me to finish my project thanks
Love these! Mom had a 63 grocery getter. Lost the keys once. Being 14 yrs. Old of course I hot wired it so we could get to the key man. She never looked at me the same!💝
Great car man, love the look of the 64 Falc especially in that color , old cars are never perfect but got character you just dont get in modern cars.
Awesome down-to-earth car and owner! You should do more real-world vintage car vids, that would be great!
Totally agreed !!
I'm soon to get my Dad's 65 Falcon Futura. Hardtop, maroon in color. All original, I think it has a 170 engine. But it's been sitting over 25 years in his garage. You can really see the hard work he put on this beauty .. 100 best spended $ ever !! 🤘🏽
LOL. 150 times over.
BTDT.👍👍
Great story
Excellent archival documentary
Good job young man. The mid-60's falcons were the first new cars that I liked. The torgue thrust wheels go well with that car.
(He has a twin car, I have his🤔)
Very very nice!
We had a 67 falcon at one time. I wish we didn't have to get rid of it.
This was the car I learned to drive in I was 13,love it! Belong to my mom was in mint condition! 1964 Falcon, stick.
I had one when I was 18, a long time ago, it was a very nice car, not too many like it around, but I didn't take care of it, wisht it was still here.
god bless, i bet your dad is proud of you, for the job well done
I hope you can keep it forever Pretty cool you could find an old timer like it
that car sounds goood
I love Falcons from 1960 to 1966! Nice review!

This car looks so sick .. Amazing job .. Congrats !!

Stan
He's keeping the wheels. Sounds like your family loves Fords.

Nice job Shane! It's cool just to see that you still HAVE your first car at all...I'm not a Ford guy,
but if I were to put effort into one,it would be a mid to late '60's Falcon.
It's about much more than money. 👍👍
Good for you. Very nice Falcon. Love the 63-65 falcons. The 4.6 and T5 work like a dream in your Falcon. It is so quick and cruises like a big car. Very reliable and efficient.
Bill Cavazos It's got a 5.0, doubt the overhead cam 4.6 would even fit in a Falcon...
Thanks for the great video, lots of memories!
I have been a fan of the 1963 Falcon Sprint since they hit the market and honestly I did not like the 1964 model styling when it was introduced, not at all. But this one is amazing. Awesome job!
Woohoo, another three pedal Ford! Nice job!
What a Chariot, love it...
Beautiful sweet ride. I had a 64 Falcon back in the 80s. Loved it. Yours actually looks super tough! Nice work.
Gotta say I'm really loving this
Nice to see a California car that's not been chopped up and a lowrider. Excellent 👍
Love your Falcon. I have a 62 Comet. Coyote Gen3 w/matching 6spd, low mileage. I kinda wish I had kept it simple. I'll be drivin over to LA soon so maybe we can visit. I have a brand new VintageAire under dash unit if youre interested.
This is a dream car of mine. Someday I will own one
i can totally relate to this. my youth was spent under my 67 charger. every bolt. every bracket. every wire. off and back on the car. always poor. always smiling.
Nice ride cool color !! I dig the back story. True hot rodding !
Outstanding! Not only has a cool car but surfz!
You only live once and money is irrelevant when you're creating memories !!!
Sweet ride. Super nice and great story. Its priceless.
