260,Sprint motor became the 289 hi-pro 271hp, I've had both no much of a difference,,the little 260had a punch I miss my 63 Fairlane I've had ,70cobra,,70 Mach,1 351,,grand Torino sport,,but my ,63 Fairlane 260,4,speed is the one I wish I kept.the most
The 63 Sprint came withe the 260,they went to the HI-Po 289 in 64. A friend of mine had one just like it except it was burgandy, his car would scream. It was a lot of fun. Nothing like a 4-speed to top it off.
Been looking for 1964 Sprint for years , can’t find a Sprint with 289 high performance 4 speed with factory shifter. 411 positive tract rear end Where are they. I had one. Please respond
Rodrigo, I am an old man and my best friend in 1969 had a Fastback Mustang with a 427 side oiler engine in a 1968 model. This is what I call a muscle car. The car came with a 289 originally, but was replaced with the engine from a 1966 Ford Galaxy. The Mustand was raced on the street and was never beaten. Good memories !!! ;-) :-D
@@bentnickel7487 In case you haven't seen it, Perhaps you should check out the video series called "Muscle Car of the Week". They have one car featured called "The Termite", That could make for a pretty fair quarter mile ride.
I like my 64 falcon tribute Car tribute to the 64 427comet and 427 galaxy It doesnt have the 427 side oiler but it has a 428 scj c6 trans dual exhaust with electric cut outs This car does get up and go i love it
After 71 they dropped the compression ratio on the engines my duster engine I put work into it to get more performance out of it I used to give road runners hell in the quarter mile
I owned one back in 1967, Best little car that I ever Drove and I've had about 25 cars since that era of time....
64 did not come with a 289 from the factory; the 260 was the only available V8 for the falcon that year

@JAMES DURHAM U.E.L. there's a 260 duel quad,hi riser that still has records today I think it was a A,FX
289 two barrel was a 64 option
This Sprint is a code F 260 two barrel.
@@bigalfrombrewster1842 You must be referring to the car of MCOTW hass a video of called "The Termite" .

Nope.
No Falcons had factory K codes HIPOs.
No 221 either. That was a 62-3 Fairlane engine.
Im not saying your wrong but when i did my research 64 came with the 260 mine was made in lorain ohio came with a 260 in 64
Beautiful 52 year old Falcon.

Challenger 260 V8 is Awesome mill
HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FOR THE FALCON
is that car still for sale
Perfection
I dont get it breather says 289 but claims its a 260
That's what I like the old muscle cars not a bunch of junk waste it on the engine you don't need all this emission crap
With a 260, I wouldn't call that a muscle car. With a 390, now we're GETTING there. With a 427, give the man a cigar !!!!
Revisionist history abounds
Muscle car actually is a mid size with the large car engine.
Like a Fairlane with a 390, Chevelle with a 396.

Such a beautiful car! But why oh why the orange!?
Factory red
Rangoon red 😊
No 289 for 64 😊
I'm curious Bruno what muscle car did you have ha
I prefer the big boy engines my muscle car was a 73 Duster 340 small block
Mine has a 440+

Hmm, no PS, no PB, no AC, what's it worth?
10g
Dude can't read. It's a 289 Hi-Po!
If it were a Hi-Po it would have a dual point mechanical advance distributor, and it doesn't sound like a 271 h.p. engine either.
Somebody put that on there.
Many wannabees out there.
Too noisy needs a quieter exhaust.
Buy it and change them.
After 71 they dropped the compression ratio on the engines my duster engine I put work into it to get more performance out of it I used to give road runners hell in the quarter mile
If only it wasn't red.
Buy it then paint it
sounds bad
A 260? Nah, thanks.
Who asked you
You didn't buy it so shut up.
