i promise its not nearly as scary as it llooks, getting cut is not humiliating at all, all around its really just a fun experience to get to learn stuff about band and meet band people from other places, even in the big hotshot world class auditions, the vibe is probably not as intense as u thinkn :))) so 100% go for it
