      I think it is a fantastic bitfenix prodigy killer, the color and doors make it so cool not to mention the little stealth windows that does remind me of the 250D`s top window, but I can imagine that case getting pretty dusty and it is pretty rounded whereas i prefer the squarish, clean line designs of the obsidian lineup.

    What might have been really cool for that just open space near the front of the case would have even been a storage compartment. If they idea here is a LAN type, portable design, something that would hold cables and small bits of gear inside the case could be really useful.

    My gf wants this case and I want to build a PC using this item but at the moment its soldout EVERYWHERE and where it is sold its about 400 bucks for just the case. WHAT THE HELL Is going on with pricing. Between all the old GPU's increase price to the new GPU's and now this. How the hell is this happening.

      Corsair doesn't make this case anymore, but people still want to buy it, so online retailers can charge pretty much whatever they want for the last of the stock. If you really want this case, the only option at this point is to buy from Amazon at the excessive asking price.

    Nice review. I've just bought one of these (in black/red) as I've moved in with my girlfriend and there isn't enough room for a full tower and desk. I've stripped out my NZXT H440 and bought a ROG itx mobo to put in this (to go with a 4790k, MSI 980ti, H100i, AX860i, 16GB Corsair Vengeance). Will do me well until we get somewhere bigger next year when I can build a skylake/DDR4 based tower. Can't wait to get building tomorrow, ready for Fallout 4. :)

    They should've put a mounting spot for the HDD cage on the roof of the case, so that a longer PSU could be installed without compromising on storage.

    would be nice to see one a bit bigger for a full atx motherboard and add 1 3.5 bay and 2 5.25 bays. in orange. and some drink holders on the top.

  • @Sloppyjoe96
    @Sloppyjoe96 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    it be'd be better if there where more fan mounting options, like if you didnt use a water cooling system, you could put a big 200mm fan on that side panel, or i guess from the looks of that mounting spot you could just put two 120mm in the spot of radiator..

  • @lilwinkle
    @lilwinkle 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've had a couple cases in this year alone. I've yet to find something that I truly like. Personally, I'd like something with a smaller, yet still atx, form factor. can fit a 240mm radiator with a 770, and that doesn't waste so much space. I like space efficiency. And I've learned I like something more sleek and clean looking. I just don't care for all the jazz of some cases. Ideas?

  • @kek4198
    @kek4198 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just got this case and I am glad I did! Really good design, strong and looks really good. I went for white instead of yellow because the white one was the equivalent of 50$ less! I am not a fan on the graphics card mount system though as there isn't a slot for the GPU 'forks' to go and it was just a lot of hassle. Other than that, this case is very good if you can get it at a good price!

  • @MadOliveGaming
    @MadOliveGaming 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Its a nice case.. sure it "could" have been smaller but the problem I have with the "make it smaller or fit matx or its just not really that good" approach is that when they do listen to that, people will be saying that airflow is too restricted and they schould have added a few more inches here and a few more there.. Thats exactly what tons of people are doing with the new air 240... So what do we REALLY want? Sounds to me that we dont know...

  • @SheepInACart
    @SheepInACart 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I fully agree with everything in the review except for the boom box approach. I feel to fully utilize this case as a LAN rig it'd either have to be smaller, fit mATX or have better water cooling options, the latter two already being choices for this cases primary competition the Bitfenix Prodigy. The fact that the r9 295x2 just barely doesn't fit is also a shame, since that unit does embody the peak of mITX graphics options at the current point in time, so the fact it doesn't fit in one of the larger portable rigs goes to show just how space inefficient this design is.
    All in all this case is the opposite of everything corsair has been doing lately, its well made but not well designed, prioritizes airflow over cable management and tends towards innovation rather than "safe" options. This is actully a really good thing because it raises hope Corsair can make a comeback to the spot of most recommended chassis company from its recent years of build quality issues, repacks of existing products and conservative designs that try to do everything rather than appealing to a market niche in the way that each line of Corsair products used to. So really this product is neither perfect, nor well suited to me, but I'm very happy to see it since it embodys something that is growing so rare on the highly competitive case market, radical design, and not just in artistic outwards styling either like the recent DeepCool Steam Castle, in a way that's actually its design philosophy right down to the basics of the platform. So well done Corsair, but not something I'd buy.

    Nice but I would like to see something to help secure the video card more since its meant to be carried, there will be allot of vibrations and there is that possibility of the video card wobbling which can ruin the expansion slot itself. I've had that happen to me before.

    I'd rather pick the Air 240 over the 380T. It's slightly smaller, despite being a mATX case, and much cheaper too, plus easier to build in it. Even the 250D would be a much petter choice for me, since I still need to use my DVD drive every once in a while.

    I think it's important to have computer cases like this and the EKWB Cube. Something that's not 'just' a box-shaped box that happens to hold high-powered electronics. If a gaming machine is a gaming machine, why do they always have to look so plain and boring? I like this kind of thing, even if it's a bit bright and obnoxious.

    i have this case, I wouldn't say closing the side panel is "not an issue at all." its not bad, easier that most cases, but one side panel opens and closes easier than the other for me. Also, the side panels are not high quality plastic, its cheap and could break easily. Otherwise a great case, well worth the $60 i paid, but probably not much more.

    I'd get this case to twelve my Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced, if only it has room for TWO 240 mm radiators.

    Not adequate cooling? This thing can house a 200mm fan on the front! No other mITX case has cooling like that. That's as close to a floor fan as u can get pushing cool air into the entire case, keeping positive pressure. And u can mount a 240mm rad for the cpu(which it doesn't need but w/e) on the side and still have tons of room near the front.
    Couldn't u just mod/remove that front bracket that holds the hdd cage to be able to use all of that for a custom hdd bay? Doesn't seem like it'd be difficult to do.

      ***** What do you mean? The fan on the front IS the cool air intake for the gpu. It's literally pushing cool air over all the components.

    You mentioned the motherboard having a ton of space, can't that be used for a reservoir?

    they could of made this into a Micro atx. ITX has wattage limitations for the CPU.
