Just got a classic 30.....and just ordered the attenuator on Amazon. Can you tell me a bit more about your recording setup? You said your running your line from the Bugera. To a laptop? What program are you using? Is the program where the drum tracks come from? Sorry new to all this
Hi Chris, Connect up your attenuator as recommended (if you got a combo like me you'll have to add a input/output within the speaker lead..easy), take the line out from the attenuator to your audio interface (I use a Focusrite scarle into a macbookt) then into your DAW. Your guitar will sound fuzzy due to not going through a speaker you then need to put it through some IR software, I use Two Notes Torpedo wall of sound which is brilliant and free, you just need to purchase certain cabs. You can then tweak away and get it sounding how you want. The drums are part of Logic which is the DAW I use.The Bugera will cut your volume down to almost silent but not totally and it cuts a lot of top end going to your amp speaker but this is not a problem with the line out signal.Hope this helps, thanks for asking...Paul.
Hi, you have to disconnect the speaker from the amp then attach a lead with a jack plug on it to the speaker. The wires you took off the speaker (from the amp) you can now connect a female jack socket. You then use a jack to jack lead from the amp to the PS 1 and plug the speaker( which now has a jack lead on it) into the appropriate socket of the PS 1. Your just basically putting the PS 1 between the amp and speaker but by using a female socket from the amp you can easily connect the amp/ speaker back together if needs be. Hope this makes sense ?
This is the best tone I heard among lots of Bugera Ps1 demos.
