What I enjoy about your videos is that you explain the nuances of multiple platforms compared against eachother in a very practical way. You don't compare specs or what the platforms say about themselves, but rather, you explore them in depth and share what any creative or content creator would want to know. I love hearing you articulate the same discoveries and conclusions I've thought myself in exploring these same tools. Sometimes you turn me onto completely new tools that I would never have known about, so thank you my friend, I genuinely appreciate your work!

10:56 Yes, we really need the equivalent of a motion brush like Runway. Also, AI videos need to stop deteriorating the moment the first frames start. Like in Runway, the first image is great because it’s your initial Midjourney (or whatever) image. But by the time you get to the end, it’s lost its clarity. If you try extending it by putting the last frame in again and extending that onto the first video you made, then it’s gradually getting worse. So, we need a way to easily extend the video, but we really need to be able to have every frame sort of 'cohesified.' The upscale in this free one is cool, but they need to make this tailored for workflows where you’re working with it back and forth. Like, make a video, then take it into Premiere or After Effects, etc., then import back in, make more edits with the AI or make it longer, export it again, etc.
Also, as an aside, Midjourney really needs to have a team working on making tools for designers that can allow us to work with the images as easily as possible. Considering that it’s not integrated like Adobe’s AI, they really need to help make it more useful. How about an image-to-vector AI converter right in Midjourney, all set up to easily import into your particular image software.
In fact, they should make a whole section just for web designers or people wanting these kinds of UI/vector elements. Where it has all the best presets and directions to generate your designs. Where one section is more tailored for creatively coming up with the right design, where it has many tips and creative ideas and methods to get to a design you’re confident about and have explored creative potential.
There’s so much potential here… like allowing you to easily try to make some website design elements based on various branding images you already have. Imagine if you have an Instagram with a bunch of beautiful rustic lifestyle images on it, and you want to build a website. Imagine putting a bunch of images into a website designing type system where it intelligently uses aspects of those images to make your design elements. GPT-4 is really good at picking out the colors, for example, so it could intelligently analyze the images for various aspects that could be used in Midjourney prompts. It could do this in various editable ways, with various methods you could choose. It could then provide you with enough images that you could choose a selection of and then have it compile them into a mock-up where they’re used in context. You could then easily vectorize them, or edit them and import it back into Midjourney as a blend/image prompt and continue. Do you need a 'mail' or 'shop' icon? It could have a button you click for 'buttons' and select 'mail,' and then select whether you want to make it look 3D, minimalistic, etc. Then it could generate lots of mail icon options. Imagine you just generated a bunch of branding icons and just need a few more.
It could be set up so as you nail down the style more as you approve other designs, it could use those as references in image prompts or with text from AI analysis of them to help you make more.
Obviously, some of these features would be harder than others to develop, but even the basic vector icon UI element developer would be incredibly useful. Literally just as simple as an easy 'convert to vector' with a preview.
Style Tuner could be a really great way to nail down and experiment with styles. Imagine making a bunch of style tuners that you can easily use on any previous image. Select an image, choose a style tune from a drop-down menu, an option to change the tuner options in that Tune, then have it reroll that prompt with that style and let you edit out the parts of the prompt no longer needed because of the tuner. Maybe an option for an AI to intelligently edit the prompt to separate the subject from the style, to maximize how well the tuner will work.
I know this is long and no one will have read it, but I'm on Adderall (😂), and it's excitingly frustrating how much potential there is with this stuff.
These are all great ideas for indie 3rd party devs to use as well using Stable Diffusion or something. These models are amazing now, but the ability to easily work with them as a designer/artist has so much further to go. I see so many amazing images that are basically being WASTED because of this.

Thanks Samson, I appreciate the prompt structure breakdown, that's really useful. I've been playing with pixverse for a couple of weeks and agree that 0.55 is the sweetspot for motion. I see they've just added a watermark which suggests a paid version isn't too far away. I've been playing with decoherence, runway, kaiber and pixverse over the last month. A bit tired of the constant re-rolls to be honest, I think I'm going to go back to trad video for a while, while waiting and watching to see what happens in the image animate space. Watched the whole vid, good job.

What PROMPT is used for these videos? The keys-framework of promoting to the right outcome for a AI generated video is really something to learn.
    Thank you for your content!

lol - What? How many people are actually sharing their prompts? It's all AI users have. "Prompts, prompts, prompts. Gotta keep me prompts a secret, it's all I have to keep what made this secret. "

Leonardo does ok, have to waste a lot of tokens to get a good 3 sec video. Eventually this won't be free but if it does better I don't mind switching.

thank you, do you have a negativ prompt options? also I note that some images its animate much better, for example images captures from real videos. and way bad when they are AI generated, for example from Bing.

Sure thing! I'll keep that in mind. You can slow down the video and use frame interpolation. You can also reverse the video and pin it on.

Hi Samson, i tried to make a video with an uploaded image of young girl closeup who was smiling & tearing at more or less the same time but the return video from pixverse is an image of smile but not the tear rolling down...nothing close to my desired output....here is the content of my prompt according to Copilot advice: "Start with a gentle smile at young girl face for 3 seconds, her eyes slightly closed, and her tear drops rolling down slowly for another 3 seconds, then, have her blink her eyes open and burst into a full, radiant smile, ensure her lips curl smoothly.", Can you explain why me or ai failed in the test?

    For me it's 1 > 3 > 2.
1 & 3 look most natural. 2 feels too artificial. Even though 3 didn't seem to understand that it's a jellyfish and applied smoke effect - at least the smoke felt natural. Imagine if it's an alien jellyfish rather than an Earth one then it makes sense. But ultimately, 1 is the best.

Im fine with a paid version of this... as long as it is worth it. For example all the settings you showed here could stay on a free version, but for more advanced settings like 8K cilps you might be asked to pay for or for making cilps longer then 8 seconds maybe you can make cilps up to 20 or 30 seconds for a payed subscription I could also see them charging for more advanced A.I. generated cilps.
