I'm a Canadian military brat and I juggle a 20 hour a week ballet schedule while pursuing my 2nd undergrad degree (double major in biology and neuroscience). I'm a dual US Swedish citizen, obviously Sweden is known for its large refugee crisis 2014- onwards which was when I moved here. I was worried about being American in Swedish language school where almost all my classmates were refugees. Never ONCE did any of them chastise me for my home country, our military or anything. In fact almost all had wished they could have gone to the US instead. On the other hand, it has only ever been safe, white Sweedes and Americans who I've heard say the US is exploiting the Middle East. I used to be one of those people, in fact. I wasn't a dick about it, but I was young and ignorant. Know better now, thanks to more life experience, this podcast, my classmates etc...

When discussing the falling out between Mattis and Trump, it had nothing to do with the prosecution of ISIS in Iraq and Syria. The falling out between the two was over NATO and Trump's hard line stance on certain members failing to meet alliance contributions. Mattis felt we should not push our allies around forcefully. Trump was I'm not screwing around with them, they have been taking advantage of US protection for decades. There was an impasse that could not be over come between two type A personalities.

Before we sue anyone for using the wrong pronoun or storm any capital building we need to take a step back and think about the blessed life we live here and the absolute horrors or war
