India has bengal tigers, leopards, asiatic lions, snow leopards, clouded leopards, leopard cat, golden cat, fishing cat, rusty spotted cat, marbled cat, jungle cat, desert cat, pallas' cat, caracal, lynx, brown bear, black bear, sloth bear, sun bear, striped hyena, grey wolf, Tibetan wolf, himalayan wolf, red fox, bengal fox, white-footed fox, tibetan fox, dhole, golden jackal, 8 species of civets including binturong, 6 species of mongoose, 4 species of otters, hog badgers, honey badger, ferret badgers, weasels, martens, spotted linsang and red panda. Show me another country with this diversity of carnivores. The fact that India retains so much of her wildlife despite being so overpopulated is a huge feat. Only if asiatic cheetah wasn't extripated...

China was Home to five subspecies of Tigers till the last 20th century. 🇨🇳
The Caspian Tiger ( P. Tigris virgata) was recorded near the Mnasi River basin in China till 1970s
The Siberian Tiger ( P. Tigris Altica ) lives on the Russia - China border which many of them live in the Hunchun national park in Northern China .
The Amoy Tiger ( P. Tigris amoyenisis ) formerly inhabited the Guangdon and fujian provinces in Southern China . Which they were last sighted in the wild in 1990 and possibly extinct in the wild .
The Indochinese Tiger historically populated in China but it doesn't stay there now . The last indochinese Tigers were spotted in 2006. Rarely Bengal Tigers are recorded in the wild time to time when Tigers migrate to China across Tibet .
China had more than 5000 Tigers in the 1920s , but they lost more than three subspecies and Now there less than 50 Wild siberian Tigers left in China 🇨🇳

No way man Tiger (nearly 5"), Lion and Jaguar's fangs are all longer than Cloudy's (2+") similar to Leopard actually, bt still longer than those of Snow leopard's and Puma's

No they are longer. The clouded leopard has the longest canines in porportion with it's skull size. Tigers have the longest in overall length.

    1) There was historically a rare black color morph of the Bengal Tiger. Unlike black leopards which have black rosettes on a dark background, black tigers had stripes that were thicker and closer together resulting in a cat that was almost completely black with only a few small patches of orange or white.
    2) South Chinese Tigers may already be extinct in captivity, since the ancestry of the surviving captive individuals is unknown. They may be part Bengal or part Siberian.

What a very sad story and one typical of what terrible things humans can do but we can fix this problem to a degree.we cannot get back those we have lost but we can easily keep and increase the number of all the tigers living today.each government of countries who have tigers need set aside huge areas of land with plenty prey keep humans out and let them be.it's not rocket science.employ rangers with a shoot to kill policy any human dare set foot in the protected areas then bang.simple.

unlucky animals, because of their good skin they were hunted a lot long ago, and many ancient Chinese medicines used tigers.
and the most unlucky part, they live in the hemisphere with the densest population, they will automatically become extinct.

There are only six extant subspecies of Tiger (Uncia tigris), the Bengal Tiger (Uncia tigris tigris), the Siberian Tiger (Uncia tigris altaica), the Chinese Tiger (Uncia tigris amoyensis), the Indochinese Tiger (Uncia tigris corbetti), the Malayan Tiger (Uncia tigris jacksoni), and the Sumatran Tiger (Uncia tigris sumatrae), in addition to extinct subspecies like the recently extinct †Caspian Tiger (Uncia tigris virgata), †Javan Tiger (Uncia tigris sondaica), and †Bali Tiger (Uncia tigris balica) and paleosubspecies like the †Wanhsien Tiger (Uncia tigris acutidens), the †Ngandong Tiger (Uncia tigris soloensis), and the †Trinil Tiger (Uncia tigris trinilensis), the mainland populations are treated as different subspecies because mainland tigers are a paraphyletic group as the indoesian tiger subspecies are all descended from mainland ancestors, the Siberian Tiger (Uncia tigris altaica) is the largest living subspecies of tiger and the only big cat to live in the North Pole, where it competes with other polar carnivorans like the White Wolf (Canis albus), the Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus), the Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus), the Stoat (Mustela erminea), the Least Weasel (Mustela nivalis), the Wolverine (Gulo gulo), the Sable or Siberian Marten (Martes zibellina), and the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx), as well as preying on polar ungulates like the Caribou (Rangifer tarandus) and the Muskox (Ovibos moschatus), it can also prey on pinnipeds like arctic seals, the northern fur seal, the steller's sea lion, and the walrus.

I believe the demise of tigers in many parts of the world is not a coincidence. Being the most ferocious predators, tigers kill almost everything in their path for million and million of years. Tigers and other big cats terrorize the human population. No right or wrong, because it is the law of nature, survival of the fittest. Fortunately for us, we evolve through planning and working together. We eventually turned the tide against the vicious cats. From then on, similar to many unfortunate animals killed by the big cats through the eons, the cats themselves are threatened by a stronger species, Homosapiens. Again, no right or wrong, this is how nature works on our planet Earth.

your trying to make hunting look bad . Why don't you tell the truth . The problem arose when hunting was band and there fore no longer protected from poachers . We still hunt lions ,lions are still plentiful .But if you stop the hunting then poachers come in and then end up like the tiger
