Addendum: You will need the Shadow Atrium to start the fight (can't believe I missed that) and a hammer in case the skeleton is the wrong skeleton is constructed. If you have any questions or comments you'd like to share, feel free to do so below! The hardest part for this fight after knowing what to do is going to be the inventory management. I tried my best to explain how I manage my inventory, so hopefully that will help out.
For solo I just hate how little damage you can do with the limited time in between shielding. I wish it had player scaling, and solo players were granted a longer cooldown for it’s shield.
I SO MUCH appreciate the way you broke this down especially with how to do the slots, it's hard to know where to put what. Really a great video and nice to have a recent one!!!
Thanks for the guide and the inventory management tips that'll probably be good for other fights too! I haven't fought fuelweaver in my 400 hours of game time because I'm too chicken, but I think I'll give it a try. I've always put it off saying I needed more gear for the fight, but I definitely have more than enough now...
I finally fought my first fw after hundreds of hours in the game only one day ago! I was going to say you just missed it with this video but I used your wormwood fw playlist to prep, so all good :) very nice to have this one for optimisation now though!
If youre using Wanda, I suggest taffy as the only food you ever need. The damage reduction doesnt happen to her, its easy to produce and heals sanity well.
I personally would recommend tanking instead of kiting in the second phase It makes the fight easier and shorter, hence less risk or random bs happening
I have that towards the end and I recommend it too. It's good to tank, but if its your first time, you may not know what you're doing yet so imo its better to learn to kite first and learn the pattern, then once you know that, then learn to tank. I've watched a lot of players on twitch fighting fw and they all seem to have that common theme going for them; whether they be players using Volt Goat Jelly or are Wolfgang or have another person playing with them or all of the above. It's partly why I geared the guide this way :)
I was expecting to see FW getting dragged around the arena, but this is fine for beginner. Also, thanks for sharing your Wes vs FW fight, i managed to solo him by just copying your steps! I swap Jerky into Potato Puree and it went smooth af
Excellent guide, I'll be sure to watch it again when I'm finally ready to face him. Any tips for Warly Healing and Sanity item management? I often find I have (too) few inventory left over to carry multiple healing foods, though for a fight like FW I'd be fine with burning through Jellybeans with Tea.
For Warly, Honey Poultice is a great alternative to healing food. Sanity food wise, bring a variety of big sanity healing items, like Ice Cream, Lobster Bisque, Jelly Salad, Potato Puree etc. Idk how much sanity food is normally required Warly wise since as Warly, I normally do the fight with Volt Goat Jelly. I can try without Jelly as Warly once I'm free later on.
i do think doing this fight on a beefalo is way easier. no weapons or armour needed, much less sanity food required since youre gonna be wearing your bee queen crown (which will never break), you wont be needing healing, and inventory management is gonna be a lot smoother. all you really need to do is swap between LE and weather pain
Thanks for the guide, I've having trouble with this fight even with three people Oh my goodness, I was only on unseen hands duty and I couldn't do it properly LOL. BTW what are the thulecite crowns for? Since you've been wearing BQ crown this whole time
I use a Thulecite Crown when I am tanking the fight. I just listed it in case people don't have a Bee Queen Crown or in case theirs break and they don't have another one. As for the damage modifier, once you learn the fight as a normal damage modifier, then you can easily do the fight as Wolfgang or with Jelly. I've seen far too many people who struggle with the fight normally cause they were either too used to Wolfgang, having other people help, and/or were using Jelly (Jelly was not always a thing either). It's understandable too since you'll just do so much damage that you don't have to learn how to master the fight, but if you learn to master it, it becomes an extreme breeze with the higher damage modifiers. I had done a boss run as Wolfgang back in August. It took me 2 minutes to kill FW (no jelly) b/c I had that type of understanding for the fight, whixh is something I would love people to get to. I should have added that clip to the video, oh well.
This guide only helped me with preparing weapon, armor and food, I just defeated fuelweaver, but trying to deal with minions, sheld and trying to not screw up inventory was too much for me to handle at the same time I had 12 attempts (Yes I have serious stress problems) I ended up dealing with minions at the same time and fuelweaver by tanking and using weather pain from time to time to always keep tornado on him when I deal dmg when sheld was gone and then dealing with sheld when it appears, it was also good time for me to heal health and sanity
On console there's a problem with the weather pain where if you lock onto an enemy you'd have to press circle to unlock but circle is the same button to use the weather pain, so you'd have to walk right next to fw to be able to use it
I just soloed him on console Best advice I can give for anyone who is going to try is to bring lots of body armour and tank instead of kiting so your always close to him and can easly use the weather panes to prevent some of his healing
I don't like the hotbar piano the second phase requires at all, I guess it makes sense for a multiplayer game, but I would like more time between each shield
My problem with this fight is inventory management because you have to be switching to multiple different items DST doesn't have a function to lock a item in a certain place I. Your inventory I can't memorize where it will be so I have to at best pasue to game to check my inventory before continuing which is very frustrating
You forgot to include the Shadow Atrium in the 'What You Need' section ༼☯﹏☯༽ And btw yeah a hammer in case the skeleton is wrongly assembled as commented by someone below.
I play on Xbox, is there anyway in settings or something to choose how far to teleport with the lazy explorer and to target with the wp? Because otherwise it's always the max distance and I have to hug him and hope for the use wp prompt
I struggle with this boss sooo much. I expected him to be just hard and not tremendously mighty. In all my approaches i was getting lost at the part when i have to weather pain him, put on and off the amulet and switch to the lazy explorer and telleport. I just can't do all these things at the same time, i spend so much time on looking for the amulet in the inventory (it is always in different place) and struggling to switching the weapon, so I end up not being able to deal him any damage, beacuse when this phase ends, another one begins. Please why this boss is so hard
Try following the tips in inventory management section to prevent your amulet from going into different spots in your inventory. As for the phase ending and another begins, try syncing when the last woven shadow and last unseen hand is killed; that should address that issue. Just keep moving around the arena breaking each hand and and weather paining at each hand you break. Solving the issue of your nightmare amulet going all over the place should definitely help with you breaking the hands.
I feel you -___- I tried to solo, it was impossible, I got overwhelmed with wovens on top of hands, then tried to beat him with a friend, and we only managed to get him to 3000hp and then he healed an insane amount, so we just got pissed and abandoned the fight 🙂 I'm planning to give it another try in near future, and I'm procrastinating it terribly
I beat him, the answer was to use hotkeys, and not change weapon manually. Seriously it was THE thing that made me win this fight, the chaos in my inventory was the worst problem in this fight i recommend using it.
@@norbb5526 yay, congrats! great to hear that you managed to finish him. my problem is that I'm terrible at playing with a keyboard, and I got too used to playing on a controller which makes it difficult to change weapons/lazy explorer, or armor with amulets in a timely manner. or maybe I'm just bad at this 🤣
Armor. Wearing two pieces of armor (particularly the suit) makes both armor pieces last longer and you also get the bonus of the shield that protects you from damage from time to time.
@@LakhnishMonster I'm asking mainly because I see you ended up using the Bee Queen Crown only. Anyways, ty for this tutorial! During this one hour I've been trying to kill him and after reloading 5 times I finally did it 😂

I’m 2 minutes in and this is why the fight is twice as hard on console. Inventory management.
I love how you played the fight slowly in real time to make for better demonstration. Nice touch

I’ve solo’d FW 8 times in my main world, I’m watching cus you always release such quality content🤗
That inventory management trick was a lifesaver, still working on beating him consistently but I've finally been able to do it with Wilson. Thanks

dont forget the hammer guys, in case the skeleton isnt properly assembled
Ty, the inventory mantion is a bigger problem, than FW itself. I glad u explained inventory tips
