Thanks so much for this video. It saved me a full moon cycle when I almost missed a day 41 new moon because I was having trouble locating the set piece. I finally found it day 41 but the nose was too far. I thought I'd have to wait, then remembered this video. Keep up the great work

These cave spiders be like, who's at the door, never mind i feel like sleeping. After wakeup(confused) I am pretty sure i open the door, but where's my house?
God I wish Klei would make it to where it is possible to summon the shadow pieces in between day 1-21, would make it way more fun to fight if they just made it to where I don’t have to summon them at a specific time to fight since even if you are good enough to beat them, you still have to wait until winter which can really kill the pace if you don’t use trick shown here
aside from the gate cheese test of the run was very entertaining and educational. I never even thought possible to do Fuelweaver without nightmare amulet, I also didn’t know woven shadows just dissipate if they run around long enough

I would said that world record is i think japan or sth like that and its 24 minutes, BUT WAIT THE HELL IT IS UNSEEDED DAMN I RESPECT YOU FOR WASTING MUCH TIME ON LOKKING FOR GOOD SEED
@@kolikoli4430 it is really simple, start cooking, wait about half a second so food is cooked but cooking animation is still playing, and then cancel the animation by cooking another one
Do you have a video with the strats or anything like that or is it pretty straight forward with just tons of practice? Not sure if there is anything special that you do because it's unseeded but I'd be curious to learn what the meta is (at least on this patch assuming nothing crazy changes with world gen and stuff later).

Very nice run! But is it normal in the dst speedrun community to pause the timer whenever you pause the game?.. would be cheating in pretty much any other game. Still impressive, though I would add 2-3min to your result or however long the total pause time was (Pausing load times on the other hand is fine, a lot of games do that and it makes sense on PC).
@@guille6785 that's definitely interesting, though I wonder why it was decided upon that ruling. It let's you mentally prepare for fights, let's you find locations quicker, taking away stress levels, let's you be more aware of where your inventory slots are.. I personally think it'd much more exciting if you'd have to do all that sorting in "real time"

@@lotusfrucht111 IGT was deemed generally more useful than RTA because it corresponds to the actual timer that you see 100% of the time when playing the game (the day clock), and RTA actually kinda sucks at being accurate because of the lag at the beginning of every day from autosave

check the speedrun leaderboards, the rules were based off games like minecraft and dark souls which also time by in game time
