As a Phillies fan, I have such a deep, hidden love for the Dodgers. Never understood what appealed to me about them, it might have started when Chase Utley joined them, but this team is something special. It breathes life into the phrase “How can you not be romantic about baseball?” I don’t think I have ever liked a team that is supposed to be the “enemy” as much as I like the Dodgers. I loved Ohtani from the first moment I discovered him, but I also adore Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Yamamoto. I look forward to next year, and will be buying a ticket every time they visit the Bank. Congrats to y’all seriously
Go Shohei! My reason for watching baseball just this year. Learning basic baseball. You still have many years ahead. Be healthy and come back stronger.
For most people, a mild subluxation takes about 6 weeks to recover from. He drank painkillers to play the next day. He was definitely not at 100%. Hope it's not worse than what was reported.
I periodically get that injury because of a bad dislocation I never got repaired and yeah it does heal with a little time but it sucks when it happens.
The man now has the Japan Series, World Baseball Classic title (with an incredible face off against Trout to win it), and now a World Series with the Dodgers after the most remarkable season by a DH. He is going to add NL MVP with his 2 AL MVP awards along with Silver Slugger and other individual awards. Ohtani’s season with the Dodgers will be legendary and also an indictment of the Angels and Mike Trout staying there.
