As of October 2019 “Wonderwall” tallied 660,000-ish daily plays meaning it generated around $2,650 in recorded music royalties every 24 hours (or around a million dollars a year).

It used to take one song back in the nineties when every bought music as there was no Internet with free music EVERYEHERE.
Nobody can live of 1 song anymore because few buy music anymore #Facts.
That's why music tour 2 tines as much now as in the 90's because touring is a bands only way of making money now. Whereas in the 90's Oasis Sold 70 Million Albums plus Millions and Million of Singles.
No band Will EVER SELL £70 MILLION albums in 3 years EVER again in the history of time.

@@j9186 That's absolutely true...I think the commercial image of an artist these days is what brings in all the money and the actual music makes next to nothing even if it's streamed all day everyday. To some degree it's always been one fueling the other but the balance has completely gone.I guess that's why the charts are filled with great looking, sharply dressed mundane sounding artists playing to 12 year olds.

I like Wonderwall but it's not my favourite, every now and again I play Whatever on a loop, or Live forever, Champayne Supernova and there's more, it's a pity, I wonder what music they could have given to the world if they only drank or smoked dope and stayed away from the coke. Coke writes sh*t music and generally makes a tense situation, EG a sibling rivalry, much much worse.
Still thou, the best band of my generation and I really believe they could have been one of the best of all time.

@@thatisme3thatisme38 I don't know to be honest, but I don't think they had a raging sibling rivalry happening, Coke gives you too much of an ego, so you don't listen to advice or participate well in a collaboration which is what modern pop music is, it's a team effort. But that is just my opinion and I don't know how the others dealt with that, Noel is even a big ego without Coke and Liam seems just to be a nightmare with or without.
