Shinjuku Washington Hotel || Places to stay in Tokyo 2023

Shinjuku is one of the most popular places in Tokyo for both tourists and locals alike. If you want to stay in this area but still want your peace and quiet at the end of the day, Shinjuku Washington Hotel is the place for you! The hotel is walking distance from Shinjuku Station and the rest of the commercial area, but it also has restaurants and convenience stores right under the hotel so that you don't need to go far to have a good time.

I stayed here a month or so ago.
There was a faint, very unpleasant smell permeating one wing of the 9th floor where I was originally booked and asked to have my room changed to a different location.
The room, while small, was great and the staff were incredibly helpful.

It's unfortunate to hear that your first room was not so great, but as you mentioned the staff there are helpful, so I'm not surprised they immediately responded to your request to change rooms. :)
