Thanks for this vid. How did you make the initial marks to guide the drill for drilling? Center punch? Did you do it before forming and soldering the ring or after. Forgive my lack of knowledge, I’m a student.

I usually recommend starting a guide for a drill by using a small ball burr. Sometimes I simply push a sharp point in to the metal

Why not use a pillar drill with a block of wood to support the ring at 90deg to the table. Is there an advantage to using pendant drill ?
