Perhaps use a kinder word for yourself like “curvier” or “more generously proportioned”? There are some great brands that do really good designs for larger frames, I’d love to see Trinny do something like that too as she respects all women and has “a good eye”.
@@suehassall4405 Why police how other people describe themselves? There are plenty trying to reclaim the word fat as just a neutral description rather than a slur.
What difference does it make if she uses the word 'fat'? It is what it is.
@@suehassall4405 Thank you for your comment, to me the word 'fat' for so long has been designated as a slur, to me it's just a descriptor. I don't associate it with being unattractive or disgusting, I can both be fat and attractive and interesting and powerful. I'm trying to dissect the historical link between the statement.
I think regarding fashion the word curve has come to be symbolic of a size 16-20 which I am not. So when often women use the word fat as a descriptor it often refers to size 22 and above. I understand that not everybody feels comfortable with the word and I encourage everyone to use their own language to form their own identity, but for me the word fat describes me, it does not constrain me.
I'm such a believer that fashion is a great liberator when use equitably, much the same as the individuals who watch Trinny. I want it to be accessible for as many people much the same way you have mentioned above
