I've followed your vlogs for YEARS and I love how it feels like you and I have grown up together. I'm pregnant with baby number one, just entering my third trimester, and creating my registry. This is so helpful because my head has been spinning a bit over what you need vs what you don't. Thank you for sharing, Kalyn!
Would you ever do a video on things you wish you did/things you’re glad you did before you got pregnant? My husband and I are planning to have our first child in about 3 more years. As I think about that phase of life I wanna prioritize what I can before a child becomes the priority. What did you find important to your personal growth and development before baby #1?
Hey Kalyn, not that I have kids, so I can't fully speak to this, but instead of getting a double stroller, perhaps you could look into a wagon. Then, as they both get older, you could fit them both in there or anything else you need to bring with you i.e. a cooler or sand toys for the beach or something. Just an idea!
Hack: My brilliant sister-in-law uses a zip up diaper caddy (like a rectangular flat bottomed tote) on her changing station. This makes it so everything needed for her babies in regards to changing/ basic care is packed and ready for any out of the house adventure. Their little family likes to go on a lot of day adventures, camping, or visiting friends and family. They always have this tote/ caddy thing with them. Everyone in the family knows where baby care items are located and mom and dad are always ready to head out the door at a moments notice. It might be worth a try for your cart and taking baby care products up and down the stairs.
I would recommend looking into the bras from the little milk bar. I didn't discover them until way after my son was born & I wish I had known about then during my pregnancy and especially freshly pp. I tried various other bras, the snap ones and the regular v pull ones but these are by far my fav. They are so comfortable to sleep in and nursing is so much easier, they also have nursing tanks.
I really wish I would’ve went with a stroller wagon instead of my double stroller. At the time I was more focused on just needing something that worked for a toddler and infant, but didn’t take into account that I would need to purchase a second toddler seat once my daughter started to outgrow the infant car seat (my toddler still likes to ride in the stroller when his legs get tired, which I didn’t consider when I first purchased the double stroller). There are a few stroller wagons that have a car seat adapter so that they work with a toddler and an infant and then once the baby gets bigger, they can both fit in the wagon. I’ve also heard that the stroller wagons are a bit easier to maneuver. I find that my double stroller gets very front heavy with the toddler seat being positioned at the front so it can be difficult to go over curbs.
Girl. Get the double stroller. If you wanna go somewhere alone with the kids and there’s a lot of people- buckling them in will ease your anxiety about Easton getting away from you!
Love this 💙💙 I loved the emphasis on comfort items for Mama. Baby doesn't need much to start with but I found postpartum so difficult mentally and comfort items really helped. Also - my baby girl CONSTANTLY peed on us during baby changes and it drove my husband insane (he does 99% of the diapers). Maybe we should have tried the warmer! 😂 My baby also refused pacis, hated so many bottles we had (only liked MAM). Flannel blankets were perfect for burp cloths bc we had a huge spit up girlie. We did a pack and play that grows with them (infant and toddler settings) and were personally happy we didn't get a bassinet so we could buy less!
Omg Kalyn, when you said: me and Ryan walking in town with double stroller I got so emotional imagining it. Wow, I’ve been following you since forever and look at you now: in love, mum and almost married 😢 It really feels like looking at my younger sister! PS: could you please remind me the name of the erasable pen?
Tip on wipes for both genders. Put the cool or cold wipe between your boobs to warm up. Gets the job done quick to body temp AND you get to do a little boob sweat clean up on isle #1 at the same time 😉 tip from my mom who had 8 kids.
I used silver cups at the beginning of my breastfeeding journey (10.5 months and going strong now!) and they worked SO MUCH BETTER than ANY nipple creams i tried. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
@@KalynsCoffeeTalk I’m anxiously awaiting your thoughts! I expressed a couple drops of breastmilk and they healed so well. Will definitely repurchase for next baby!
I don't use that because I don't know if I would get use to them. I use disposable disc at first and now I have maternity bras with cloth disc and that would be a must if I have a second. At first when my daughter was born, my siste gave me her maternity bras, so I save a lot of money in that. Also, she gave me some maternity and pregnancy clothes and most of my pregnancy was during the summer, so I bought 7-8 regular dresses (bigger than my usual size) and save the summer, in fall and winter I bought two pairs of leggings and bigger regular T-Shirts. Maternity clothes are so expensive. What I regret a little is buying an UV steriliser. It is great and I love it, but my daughter didn't use pacifiers or the ones for the pain of rising teeth (I don't know they are called in English, it's not my mother language😅). So, I only used it to sterilise the breast pump I used to pump the breast milk for donating it. The other thing was the cradle (it means "cuna", doesn't it). My daughter sleeps with me since she was born (18 months ago), so she still sleeps with us. We want a second but I wanted to give some space between them so my daughter will be more independent when the second arrives. Wish me luck😂

❤I'm here listening to you to improve my English. 😊
The donut pillow is really useful, my nephew loves to nap in it everywhere and at any time... We call it his throne 😂
i’m curious if you’ve found a personal assistant yet! I’m wishing you luck in this next phase of life!!
This is so helpful!
Hi Kalyn! Where are the links to the products mentioned?
Can you link the pregnancy pillow you use? 😍
do you have any vlogs regarding your symptoms for each trimester and how you got through them?

Ok yes this is so true! Thank you, you’ve convinced me
Curious if you wouldn't mind sharing which bassinet you used!

Kalyn will you share baby number 2’s Name ? I understand if you were not planning to
Nobody knows in the family, so she will definitely keep the secret until baby is here. This is what I understood 😊
This is so helpful! Thank you for sharing!

Maybe a mountain peak for your 2nd baby on his newborn outfit.
