Yeah yeah. Something which can dissolve plastic DEFINITELY CANNOT BE HARMFUL for the human skin, right??? Protect your gear and still feel safe using it???? WTF! people get common sense!

Thanks for watching Michael, and your comment! Yes, our glasses are way to expensive and necessary to damage like that .

Thanks for watching and I honestly did not know it would damage the plastic as bad as it did. I also didn't know you could fly a drone in you living room - lol. I loved when you did that. Now you have me wanting a drone.

I had no idea flying a drone would be so addicting! So if you get one, I gave you fair warning. :)

How to neutralize Deet? It melted my paint in my brand new Bronco

Tha you for the question and sadly, once the damage is done, it can only be repaired.

Great video! I have finger prints melted into a swiss army knife handle form touching it with deet on my hands! A little scary! Thanks for sharing!
    Stay blessed

BushCraftBums Thanks for watching and your comment. just think if you ever lose your knife they could just run your prints and get it back to you, which is kind of creepy to think that they could actually do that. I too have damaged some of the plastic gear I have.

Oh wow I'm really sorry you did that. I tried to find if there was a way to buff out the damage or anything and it really does not seem like there is period it dissolves the plastic.

@@MichiganHiker ended up using some Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound with a microfiber cloth (rubbing insistently) and it removed the worst of it! however, there is still some transparent trace visible left on the clear plastic but this is extremely unnoticeable. Just glad the hazy/burnt effect is removed.
