Never include the thyroid on a lateral and do your best to exclude it on the obliques. Never include exposure of the sternum on any cervical spine projection

i assume you mean on the left oblique. We use to do that in the past, but our textbook does not recommend it so we do not have them perform it that way anymore.

@@b.o.4469 RAO is anterior side down with a PA projection, and vice versa. This was just confusing me too! LPO is posterior down with an AP projection.

You need 4 collimation sides for all images in DR. Even if you just touch it by 1mm it makes a better image for all DR. This is CR so I don't get that...

Shouldn't he rotate his head to the left? Or am I wrong?

its anterior oblique sir ???? am i right not posterior
+pinkcupcake vel anterior obliques are preferred, but due to thyroid dose , posterior obliques are what you do .
you're wrong +pinkcupcake vel
AP oblique has the posterior against the IR, PA oblique is the patient's front against the IR
RPO/LPO, the posterior side of patient is against the IR. RAO and LAO, pt anterior side is facing IR.

You say "to the IR border up and down" on the AP yet you collimated up and down a little..
