Great video! I've been considering the x6 40d for a replacement for our Lexus rx450h as we tow a caravan a few times a year. I'm not concerned about towing mpg but daily mpg is a consideration as I commute 60+ miles per day. What did the x6 achieve mpg wise over your test drive and what went you thinking it would do over a 300 mile weekly commute with mixed country / motorway / town roads? I prefer petrol cars but now I've seen your video I think the 40i will pull our van without any issues!
The engine in this is really strong so i wouldn't worry about towing large loads. MPG wise you'll easily get above 30 on the motorway and you'll be doing mid 20's round town.
