- Tricking is a high energy sport which consists of kicking, flipping, twisting, landing consecutive tricks on one leg, or trying to perform combinations of tricks based upon individual choice, difficulty, or style. It draws upon elements of capoeira, tae kwon do, karate, wushu, gymnastics, and breakdancing. This is Martial Arts Tricking.
Tricking can be seen in music videos from Chris Brown to Miley Cyrus, movies from Never Say Never to Tron, and live stage shows from So You Think You Can Dance to the Academy Awards. Tricking is making its rise in the entertainment industry, gathering practitioners around the world from beaches to gyms, and in the extreme sports world as its own culture that has evolved over the past 20 years.

I live in Thailand. Martial Art Tricking has been spreading for about 3 years already in Thailand. This is such an honor for me to know and learn Tricking and it has become my favorite sport and my lifestyle. One day, if I have a chance to go to USA, the first place I will go to visit is White Lotus Martial Art Center.
The best thing about tricking is that we trickers always laugh, screams of excitement and just spreading love when we trick.
Damn i love this, good or bad. Everybody is unique!
Having a 6 year martial arts background and 4 year cheerleading background, i can honestly say that tricking has influenced my life in many different ways...and even though I'm just getting into mixing my tumbling with martial arts, I've had the best of both worlds and the mixture is amazing!
This is the best tricking documentary style video I have seen EVER! And Sir Devin Sheehan has taken tricking editing to a WHOLE new level!!!

one thing they left out- its not about pulling off the most tricks consecutively as you can, its about fluidly mixing different movements together in the most creative way possible.

I watch my brother do this stuff all the time and this video is just fantastic! I love tricking
self taught! I started in my basement, with front flips and back handsprings. Now i can do an x out flash. Its about motivation, and will. If you need help, befriend trickers on FB, or just post your vids here on youtube. people will come along and help. Thats how i got better. Good luck

Backyard. Lots of trickers start there. TH-cam tutorials. Tricksession forums. Lotsa resources. All you need is motivation. After you get basics down, find a gym.
The martial arts aspect is the powerful kicks and punchs it utilizes. Tricking isn't martial arts, martial arts are within tricking. Any name you want can be put on it, but when it comes down to it the movement is the same.

I'm dutch and learned to trick by myself on grass and now I'm teaching tricking to kids in a gym and I'm only 16. Just go out and trick!
Tricking is starting to grow now dude. Breaking is never ending, from what I've seen. But tricking is growing, and people are doing so many things with it now. I mean, If tricking really is everything put together, then what limit could it have!
