Why do people forget bill belichik went out of his way to not only to draft brady but made sure he had a roster spot. Brady was qb#4 in his rookie season, it was pretty much a wasted roster spot. Belichik knew what he had with brady
Not exactly. Belichick went out of his way? Brady was a 6th round pick, with 6 QB's taken before him in the 2000 draft. Neither Belichick nor Kraft knew what they had in Tom. Even in 2001, when Brady took over from Bledsoe early in the season.
@@jamesanthony5681You're right though I'd say he "went out of his way" to start Brady over the QB with the huge contract so he did have an idea what he had, unless you meant Brady's final form which was much more evolved than his 2001 self.
@@CaLbaTr00se When Brady assumed the starter role in mid- late September 2001, the Pats were winning games under Tom, and Belichick didn't want to disrupt a winning formula. Perhaps we’re framing the relationship incorrectly. Maybe Kraft looked at Belichick as a minority invested business partner who at the end of the day was wrong about a business decision: getting rid of Tom Brady. If you saw one of your other business partners about to do the same business, you’d have a fiduciary responsibility of letting him know he’s about to make a mistake lol.
I mean, when Belichick makes that alleged quote about his guys being soldiers, it’s an indictment that this great coach is deliberately NOT picking leaders…the hell I want that for?!

6 Rings and this is how they do you😂
Kraft is doing it because Bill is the reason they moved on from Tom
I think Kraft is still upset that Bill convinced him to let Tom go, and Tom continued to win a championship and stayed in the playoffs while still playing at a high level. It was Bill who should have been let go.
But he extended him 2 years after that
Actually Tom said 'I'm leaving' and Kraft let him go. Tom didn't want to say "you have to choose between me or Hoodie.'" Tom just left, led his new team to win a Super Bowl and removed all doubt. Because Bill went 82-98 after Tom left.
There is now garantee Tom would have won another ring if stayed or went. Alot of people came in to tampa that one or 2 season stretch. Pats wouldn't had Gronk or Mike Evans

People love mediocrity. Trash organizations don’t really want to win. I mean they signed Kirk Cousins to a long term deal
If you don't have great players, coaching means nothing but loses. Tom and Bill proved that.
I tend to think Kraft used the word “trust” but not the way most people are talking about it. Blank asked Kraft about BB just coaching and staying out of personal decisions, and Kraft said he wouldn’t trust BB to be able stay quit about decisions he disagreed with. Not suggesting BB was untrustworthy but has too much of an ego to stay quit.
The problem is that Bill believed his own hype Later in his career in New England that he constantly got in his own way and hurt the team. But that is not a reflection on his whole career with the patriots. Yes, he screwed up at the end, especially with Brady and over estimating his abilities But that doesn't take away from his abilities As a coach.
But I really do believe this is the best outcome from him to be humble by the situation and to continue his career somewhere away from my favorite team, which sucks😢
1) The patriots way works anywhere if you have buy-in from the players. So you need some veterans on board. 2) We didn’t were pads on Fridays 10 years ago so that’s not a thing. 3) Scott Pioli is the GM in ATL and he was in New England from 2000-2008 if anyone spoke on Bill coming to ATL it was Scott and Scott’s a damn good GM. Would have loved to see them paired up again.

Key word is “trust.” What was he referring too? is the critical question.

But as an NFL fan (Go Eagles Go Saints and lo key Go Steelers😂) I've watched a lot of commentary on this issue and the one key very valid denominator I haven't heard anyone bring to light is; did Mr Blank ask or did Mr Kraft volunteer?!!! The answer to this defines everything! Firstly; I think I heard they are friends or at the least, very cordial with each other. Regardless how Kraft feels, you don't just go volunteer blocking a guy from an opportunity, unless ya got beef wit'uhm! Blank had to ask; then fair game, speak your mind!
