  • A detailed and up-close look at the Vibe Sea Ghost 110 Fishing Kayak. I review the overall design and take a look through all the features on the SG110. This is a great kayak for those looking to go fishing on inland waters or coastal waters in calm-to-moderate conditions. It has a stable hull design and a lot of useful features that make this kayak comfortable to fish from and easy to add accessories too. If you are looking to buy your first fishing kayak then the Vibe Sea Ghost 110 would be a great option!

Great review. I had the Sea Ghost 130, then I went to a HooDoo Tempest 120 pedal yak. Was all set to buy a new pedal yak this year, but Dick's Sporting Goods had an insane deal on the 110. Love it! C'mon Spring!!

Great video my friend. This kayak is now arriving on the Brazilian market, but the asking price here is still very high, 1250 dollars. Greetings from Brazil.

Impressed with all the design features!
I just keep coming back to your video showing the hobie 16 though.....In terms of build quality...is this on par with Hobie?
I live near Vancouver BC - Canada, thinking between a vibe sea ghost 130 and a hobie 13 or 16. I want to use it mostly to kayak along the shoreline, kayak camping, and some salmon fishing. Can you msg me your recommendation!?
    Thanks! Great videos btw! subscribed!

Thanks for the sub! The Revo 16 is an out and out speed machine but doesn’t necessarily have great carrying capacity. It is quite a low volume hull which really helps it fly through the water. The Revo 13 is pretty good for general coastal / inshore exploring and fishing. Space and capacity for an overnight camp, unless you are quite a big guy.
The Vibe Kayaks are not quite the quality of Hobie, more mid-range whereas Hobie are premium end of the market. The Vibe Kayaks are decent though. I see lots of kayaks from many manufacturers and it’s hard to knock the Vibes. They are nice kayaks. The SG130 will be a good choice for general coastal kayak fishing. Not as fast or as easy through the water as a Hobie Revo, but it has much more carrying capacity and stability. For calm to moderate conditions on the coast it’s a good choice. I’ll have a video coming at some point soon on the SG130, but it has all the same features as the SG110 just 2ft longer so better for longer distance trips and big waters.
SG130 if you want to paddle with more carrying capacity. Revo 13 if you want speed and ease of use over longer distances.
      Hope this helps! 😎

Vibe kayaks are complete garbage and definitely not as they advertise. They say extremely stable 😂 bullshit. I'm 5'11 200 pounds, have had many kayaks and Vibe is one of the least stable when standing. That is they say you can stand and fish with ease, that's a lie. I felt it could flip easily. I have had the Shadow Caster which is half the price and a hella lot more stable. I have an Old Town Sportsman now and yes it's more expensive but it's a Cadillac and the vibes are a Pontiac Grand Am do yourself a favor and save up a little more and buy a quality kayak

I use a load of different kayaks from cheaper brands to my go-to Hobie Revo 16 and Outback. Sure the cheaper options are generally of a lower quality but I wouldn’t say Vibe are garbage… I’ve seen a lot worse out there! Vibe sits mid-range for me in terms of cost Vs quality. Stability is as much down to the paddler as the hull they are paddling and can be a little subjective, but that being said the Sea Ghost is based on a hull design that offers a mix of secondary stability and primary stability. The stability you require for comfortable stand up fishing is lots of primary stability but with this comes wider and flatter hull designs with lots of volume and this generally makes them crap to paddle over any distance and less suited to taking on more challenging water conditions. Fine for lake and flatwater use but not so great for choppy tidal waters. I’m based in the UK and we get big tides and lots of challenging weather systems that often mean it’s never calm. We tend to favour kayaks that offer some secondary stability (good for coping in rough waters) and hulls that can paddle with some speed to cope with the tidal flows. The downside is they offer less primary stability as a result as the hulls need more rounded sides with sleeker beams to offer the secondary stability and speed. Pros and cons to all kayak designs but the Sea Ghosts do offer a decent mix of stability vs handling in choppy waters. Just my two cents anyway, everyone will have different opinions 😎

This is a great paddle kayak . does great inshore and off shore, very fast for a 11.5’ paddle kayak . Easily customized , plenty of storage and it’s not heavy like a pedal kayak , yet I can keep up with a pedal kayak no problems
