After you put in a new one, take it to a mechanic shop, I can almost guarantee you that they'll tell you that they recommend replacing the cabin air filter.

You're lucky lol, they tried charging me $245 for the cabin air filter and another $225 for the engine air filter plus $200 for a oil change despite telling me just $75 for the oil change on the phone

So.ive removed the first two tabs, the glovebox did not drop down, also there is a string on the right side holding it up... ?

Some of them come with the string attached. You should be able to wiggle the box out and let it hang to the side by the string. The glove box is slotted to take the string and slide it either back or forward to remove the string. I hope this helps

@@DonniesYTChannel ah yes. I was able to pull the string out and with my bf helping, we did it! We successfully removed the glove box, removed the air filter, and replaced with new. And put it all back together. Based on someone's comment, I thought it was only $25 part, was closer to $32 plus tax from Canadian Tire. Still, I am always thrilled when I can fix something myself! I am not a very handy or mechanically inclined person. Bf tries, but he doesn't always get it done right either.

You cannot access the cabin filter from under the hood. The access cover is behind the glovebox
