@@glitchsister wow that’s insane, makes sense now why my household didn’t get a vhs player till late in its run. Thanks for letting me know and checking the video out!
In the early 1980s, VHS movies were quite expensive compared to today's standards. The price for a new VHS tape typically ranged from $50 to $100 USD. This high cost was due to the fact that VHS tapes were initially intended for rental by video stores rather than for purchase by consumers. It wasn't until later in the decade, as the home video market grew, that prices began to drop, making VHS tapes more affordable for the general public.
@@spacemarine8289 Makes a lot of sense when explained like that, thankyou! The power of the old school rental store hey! If only we could go back 😂 thanks for checking the video out! :)
Mrs Doubt Fire came out in 1993 Its worth note VHS (UK and US) Would be £150 $200 in the eairly 80s incase you destroyed them at rental youd be up for the cost but the price dropped very quick by 1989 even as a kid i was buying the £10-15 and by the end (1998-2004 as DVD killed it quick due to NO REWIND) you could get 3 for £10
@@jaritime1406 wow that’s so wild, where dvds at a crazy mark up upon release too? That drop off is crazy though. Thanks for sharing and watching the video legend :)
@@ninchmoviesDVDs were about £19.99 at start and you could get them Region 1 for $19.99 plus $2 shipping. 10:30 this movie is insane good for my taste. the whole plot is genius.
One of the first movies from this haul I checked out. Truly was a great watch. Really was a great roller coaster of twists
Your dog's is good looking 😊
oh yeah that $119 price tag on ms doubtfire is legit, a blank tape still cost about 80 bucks until the mid90s, then the prices crashed to a commodity
