I was in high school from 86-90 and got into Metallica in 84. RTL was one of my first albums ever purchased. When I was in high school, Metallica was a bunch of nobody’s, and only myself and about four others in my High School even knew who these guys were. I was the only one who wore a Metallica patched up Jean jacket every day. I used to collect rare Metallica albums back then. I still have my collection stored away somewhere... it’s composed of Different colored vinyl albums of Creeping Death & Jump in the Fire as well as picture discs of the first three albums and whiplash, bootleg concert recordings (including Cliff’s last show), interview picture discs, double LP’s, etc... all purchased back in the late 80s. I remember When AJFA came out, we had about 10-15 more students in the school that suddenly became fans. I knew things would never be the same from that point on. Once they hit the mainstream and became popular (pretty much from 1990 and on), I pretty much lost interest, as the nostalgia of being in that small exclusive club of fans was gone.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing! I did an unboxing for all of them on my channel other than the two I wasn't able to get - Puppets and Hardwired. Just subscribed!
Are any of the albums censored? I see in the lyrics at 2;34 "fucking" is there but is it on the vinyl? A new set of vinyl is out for preorder and garage inc has a lot more cussing and i dont want to get it all edited. Someone says walmart censors all their exclusives.
Good video👍. Will you try to remove the hype stick off the cellophane and attach to the cover? I'm so anal when it comes to stickers where I won't even open a vinyl or dvd if the sticker can't be saved. Sad I know 😏
Thanks! I think we were cut from the same cloth my friend! I actually cut the cellophane around the hype sticker and slide the hype sticker into the sleeve with the album.
You shouldn't have cut the shrink off with the sticker on HardWired ? You leave all the others on and cut that off. If you already had the black version you knew what it looked like inside the gate. I would have just left it with shrink. And everybody has their own opinion but I think that Hardwired is better than Death Magnetic. So many more memorable and rocking tunes on Hardwired. Death magnetic is just a loud raw sounding album and is just ok. As where Hardwired has a better production and sound from early years up until the Black album.
I keep the hype stickers anyway. I prefer having the option to open the gatefold. Hardwired better production yes, but feel it is an extension of Death Magnetic. My opinion though.

I lucked out yesterday and found "Ride the lightning" at my local Walmart. I plan on collecting the other exclusives too.
I’ve seen them more and more lately. Only two that I haven’t seen recently are Justice and Hardwired.
You can probably order them online

Side 4 of the black album rocks. Nobody ever talks about those 3 songs
At my local Wal-Marts they only have the black album and that's all I can find for the vinyl
Same here. Only seen black album in the wild.
Check Walmart online…. Now

None of these are edited.
Where is the $5.98 EP Garage days revisited in this?
This was the full studio albums and inflation lol
Beautiful! I’m glad they include the digital cards.
Will you mail me them
I have five of the six missing master
I’ve only seen the Black Album, Ride the Lightning, and Hardwired in the wild.
Damn looks good!

Please take the heart off
Those are getting super hard to find now.

Plus leaving the shrink on wouldn’t be good for the video...
