Two skilled talented experienced anglers. Your joint knowledge sheer joy and love of trout fishing added so much to both of your vlogs. Hope you team up again. Both on your local waters. Also on Lindsay’s choices of venue. Obviously as available dates are mutually convenient.
@@RhysFishes The combination of both of your talents with rod and camera. It will be well worth waiting for. The amounts of logistical work involved in planning and producing these challenges then filming and editing the footage is considerable. I knew Lindsay back when he first started fly fishing with Ronnie Christie. Posted to a training depot near Newcastle.
Great to see you back and for a brilliant video. An amazing water and it’s a treat to see you and Lindsay pulling them out for fun. Stay safe and keep up the good work. Tight lines!
Super nice to see you back Rhys, And that was a BRAMER of a video. I had a big grin on my face as soon as the video started. Still the best editing anywhere by miles. And you inspire me to do more all the time. Should we start a Rhys boot fund, they looked a bit tired. Take care mate and look after yourself. Shaun.
Cracking Video mate, nice to see you back, it’s been a while, collaboration videos is another great angle you do, love Lindsey videos to. Have to do a Welsh one next - perhaps with Ceri linked to his podcast, just a thought Keep them coming though 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Rhys ,loved the video ,what a fantastic video and venue 😀 can I ask you what floater that is you use. I use a Cortland but open to advice. Loved the video with you and Lindsay.
Cheers james. I have cortlands and rate them highly. The one i currently use is cheap as chips and is unbranded but really rate it. You can get it from the new haylie fishery up in scotland 👍
Hi rhys I was wondering if you could help me I'm looking for a fly rod under £200 for reservoir fishing what is the best brand I've been fishing for about 2 years thanks mark
The scierra NRX’s are pretty nice rods that come in that price range. A vision hero is also a good option. Try visiting a tackle store and testing out the rods first before you buy.
Rhys I'm presently using Seagaur flourocarbon and it is really limp, droppers getting snorled up. What would you recommend as a stiffer alternative? Thanks.
Great great video lads, loved every second of it, just one thing though, dump the cap Rhys, it does you no favours whatsoever. Anyway, I’m looking forward to the next video already, keep them coming. Cheers Dave Willacy
i liked fishing this lake but the staff there their attitude was bad no one wants to hear foul language at 7.30 am in the morning especially by the head warden Russ there's a time and place for that and when members of the public who are there to fish hear that it's a NO NO i was going to go back as the fishing is really good but i decided not to due to the attitude on the staff i guess back to garn ffryd park or bigwell
Gents, i think your channel needs more content of an enthusiastic beginner with not a great deal of knowledge. If you need more lines around engines, drogues not setting, leaving reel bags at home, dropping all the best flies of the day over the side then I could be available. (Fees normally include a pork pie or scotch egg)
Hi Rhys I fished it Saturday & Sunday September it was a great weekends fishing clywedog 🐟🎣🏴🏴
Great watch guys, really enjoyed it. Extra points Rhys for the chopper noise on the drone footage, loved that! 👏🏻👍🏻🎣

Thanks Paul. Will be aiming for some grayling videos this winter
You guys make it look easy
Thank you John
Great vid, put me right in the mood to go fishing now but got work shortly, can't wait for tomorrow and Sunday now though
Good luck this weekend!
@@RhysFishes cheers mate, got me first grayling 2 wks ago then another last weekend I was so chuffed been wanting to catch one for ages
Hi Rhys. Are there any rivers or streams around that area that are possible to fish with day tickets?😊
You’ve got the Severn and the wye nearby. The wye has a superb population of grayling in the winter months which is worth a visit
Nice film work there. Great fishing too!
Thanks carl!
Great video mate ! Been watching your videos recently and as a beginner to fly fishing I have learned a lot. I appreciate it thank you 🙏
Thanks aiden! 👍

Great idea gareth. I'll try and get something sorted 🎣
@@RhysFishes Just messaged Ceri and he said you made contact, brilliant, hopefully it will come off, look forward to it 👍🏼🎣
Great video guys 👌
Thanks Alan!
Looks like a good venue, hopefully the level will recover over the winter. It's on the list for next year.
You'll not regret it!

Rhys, Fun. How far from the end of your fly line do you typically locate the Bung? Thank you. Cheers,
A couple of feet from a boat. 4ft if fishing off the bank
@@RhysFishes Thank you. Cheers,

Does clewdawgs boats come with a drouge?
They don’t come with a drogue Quincy
What is the seat you are using. Did you make it yourself , looks a very comfy setup
Yes. Its a combination of the airflo rutland style boat seat. I've taken the original seat off and replaced it with a custom seat and bracket.
Rhys I'm presently using Seagaur flourocarbon and it is really limp, droppers getting snorled up. What would you recommend as a stiffer alternative? Thanks.
Few options. Airflo g3, fulling mill or rio fluroflex. All great, just budget dependant
Rhys you car needs a wash, nice video
Hi Rhys, would you recommend the Vision Stillmaniac 6 wgt for all round still water trout fishing ?
Great great video lads, loved every second of it, just one thing though, dump the cap Rhys, it does you no favours whatsoever.

Thanks for the feedback 👍
i went there on saturday and it was super low!
Cheers!
Llyn clywedog is nuts low with water never seen it like that😩😩
Yep!
Lose the bung dude, it's fly fishing not float fishing...
lol, all the best 👍
