    Great help. Thanks
    I tried to land manually when I got to my destination but I couldn't get it off autopilot and switch off the ALT/VS/NAV and take control

    How come you didn't hit the NAV button twice to get the steerring mode? If I don't double hit the NAV mode my plane just flies off in the opposite directioon, but if I click on it my NAV will take me to the approach airport or waypoint I have chosen. For some reason when I set my approaches up and load and activate my plane fails to fly the approach waypoints? It will fly direct to the airport and sometimes the initial approach waypont --but unless I go one by one scrolling and selecting direct my approach will fail to work??? Some guidance or recommendation would be greatly appreciated!!

      Hey. Sounds like a programming error in your GPS. Would you be willing to make a short video of whats going on and I can let you know. Thanks!

      @@TriFlyAdventuressame for me. In this plane- If I hit nav once the SP screen says “ NaV” and I can fly the VLOC track but if I hit nav twice the AP screen changes the “nav gps” and I can fly the gps track

      @@pgreenx you are changing between the “ radio “ mode and GPS mode. This is normal hitting this on the GPS. When you hit NAV on the auto pilot, however it should pick whatever you selected through your GPS when you hit the CDI button. NAV on auto pilot just tells the system to fly whatever NAV is selected on your GPS that be the radio NAV or GPS NAV. Hope this helps.

      @@TriFlyAdventures not sure this is true on the xplane c172. On the AP, not the GPS, you can hit NAV once and AP screen says “NAV” and hit a second time and AP screen says “ NAV GPS”. Why would it do that if it didn’t discern between the NAV And GPS modes on the gps.
      I’m still confused but think it’s only the xplane c172 AP. Thanks for answering g.

    Wait, how do you turn off auto pilot?

    • @TriFlyAdventures
      @TriFlyAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      you have to bind a key to it from the control menu. This particular autopilot is disconnected by a button on the yoke.

    You can click on the gps and make it larger and readable, it would make your video better.

      Yes you can, however this is not a GPS tutorial, please see my IFR videos if you would like that :)

    How to disconnect the AP?

    • @TriFlyAdventures
      @TriFlyAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just bind an autopilot disconnect button to your joystick or keyboard. The autopilot disconnect on this model in game in on that yoke.
