Does Lilith even count as sinner. She was newer killed, she was banished to hell with Lucifer( both sinners and winners are people who died on Earth.), she is capable of having kids ( while sinners are infertile)
She is a sinner, either the first or second sinner after eve. She may have not 'died' but that doesn't mean she isn't a sinner. also his take on lilith is just wrong. All souls in hell or heaven have an inherent power when they manifest there and lilith being the og women would jut be reallly powerful by default. It is even possible she had magical powers while 'mortal', considering her status.
I have two theories on those. 1. If a mortal stay in Hell for too long, they become Sinners by force. 2. I believe Sinners can’t reproduce with each other, otherwise the Pride Ring would be more populated than it already is. So crossbreeding with Hellborns, or in this case Lucifer, would have to be the next best thing.
Depends I guess…? Lilith is regarded as a demon instantly upon her refusal to submit to Adam, in most text she left Eden willingly. She literally grows wings, horns, and flies away. (But she also eats the lifeforce of unborn/newborn children, Soo….) I think it ties into everyone having a hellish and heavenly form by nature, I think it’s just one of those things that naturally happen when your soul changes. She likely can have kids due to Lucifer being such a powerful Angel, who have previously been mentioned to be able to create life. Razzle and Dazzle were both plushies, so who knows what he could’ve used to make Charlie, maybe a doll or something…?
I believe it meant Alastor had Vox almost beaten, then the other two Vs jumped in and defeated Al. Valentino probably shot him with Carmine bullets, hence his severe injuries.
I agree. If Vox actually defeated Alastor, even if he was nervous about being able to do it again, he’d still hold the win over Alastor’s head. My personal theory is that Alastor nearly “beating” Vox was him dismantling the influence Vox was trying to build with his media empire, getting in the way of his control over the minds of the population by “stealing” his audience (a reference made in their song) and offering an alternative media source not following Vox’s narrative. Then Alastor just up and disappeared for 7 years. This would explain why Vox feels so threatened by him that he immediately tries to discredit Alastor to his audience before Alastor even broadcasts anything. It also explains why exactly the V’s are so excited that Alastor disappears again after three battle with Adam, viewing it as an opportunity to expand their influence without a major obstacle, even though Alastor hasn’t attacked them physically or anything.
I like your theory. Also thinks it makes more sense Roo owns the 3 Vs since leveraging / manipulating such powerful influencers seems exactly like the type of thing an evil entity would do. Will be most impactful to see if any of the 3 Vs can be redeemed (I'm rooting for Velvet the hardest since she's young and I really want to see her break Basic™ stereotypes--IMO, she has tons of potential to be an intriguing character and it's a shame they did so little with her in season 1).
I appreciate your content for crafting theories that are very uncommon in the community. It seems like you aren't regurgitating all of the basic information that everyone else has already gathered. This feels uniquely yours and quite worthwhile in regards to theory crafting. I'm sure you have your inspiration for these theories, but, I still love the depths you go through for this show. It shows that you are genuinely into the show's lore
I definitely agree that Roo gave Alastor his power and that she is the eyes in the background in pivotal scenes. You can even see these Roo eyes in Alastor's shield in episode 8.
has anybody noticed the red eyes in the backgrounds of well- every episode? in the scene where angel confronts val, and in alastor’s breakdown scene especially. they’re everywhere if you look. i think those eyes ARE Roo.
@@hanakoskokeshidoll i mean, it is possible (mentioned in vivzie's ancient streams) but i really hope that's retconned, cause i like this theory better lol :D
This does explain the massive amounts of eyes around Hell, especially during Alastor's breakdown. Imagine Roo watching him that entire time and LAUGHING. I'm also glad I'm not the only one who feels like the final boss of the series might be the incarnation of evil itself lol
Roo is Pride personified, the very reason everyone in hell, is in hell. Llilth & Lucifer included. Pride being the original sin, the root of all evil & the deadliest of the 7 sins In the bible it talks of the spirit of pride entering peoples hearts, leading them down a path of sin. So lets take a look at allastair & the Loa, by first answering what A Loa is, which is a spirit, in this case being roo aka Pride, who took spirit form on 🌍 to corrupt more souls. This would fully account for why Roo is the most powerful being in hell, even holding power over Llilth, the queen of hell. Also worth noting, that the pact with pride can be undone, which keeps those souls in hell, as we saw with Sir pentious, when he abandoned his pride & ego out of selflessness to save his friends, finally undoing the bond that tied him to hell, ergo the entire redemption plot arc of the series. It accounts for why Roo will be the big baddie of the series in the future, the denizens of hell must defeat pride within themselves, to be freed from the prison of hell
Or…Carmilla had them when she was alive and they died along with her Also Lilith has been known to be the original succubus so she may be technically “hellborn” and that’s how she had Charlie
She was the first woman, so why would the angels create humanity to be weak if they never expected them to eat the apple in the first place? They probably just lose a lot of power every generation like what we see with Paimon (A fallen angel) and Stollas, eventually just making humans just as special as any other random animal running around.
@@tompotter8703 Yeah that's what I was thinking. She was alive when she was cast into Hell with Lucifer, and as the first created woman she might be ageless, but killable, or going to Hell when you are alive stops you at the phase you entered.
Very good theory. Im curious to see how things pan out considering Viv has said herself that quite a few ppl have been able to piece things together pretty spot on
If you pause the moment he gets all green and glowy during the dealmaking with Charlie, you see his 'lips' are sewn together and his arm is literally sowed in place. Like a *_voodoo doll._* And not to mention that all the Veve show up... so that's an undeniable link you made, Finn! Also, during 'Stayed Gone', the song where he pretty much asserts his dominance over Vox in S01E02, you see the stitches as well, at his mouthcorners, neck and arm. It shows even more that he's just a puppet on a string _(Roo's string?)_
I always just assumed how Lilith was the first woman she had a bunch of power that came with that since Adam was the first man who had a lot of power when he became an Angel so the same would be said for Lilith.
I always thought that her body worked differently since she was the first human woman. Or that when she went to hell, she didn't technically die, she was basically tossed down their like garbage. She was essentially turned into a demon when she entered hell, like with Lucifer when he became fallen. They adapted as it were.
@@taddad2641 Sinners are dead humans that sinned while alive. Living humans can have children even if they are serial killers; they don't magically become infertile before. Lilith is not dead, so the "Sinner Infertility Curse" doesn't apply to her, which is why she was able to have Charlie.
Yeah Adam is so oddly overpowered for a human soul. I know he’s the first but…really? Something has to be different between Adam/Lilith and Eve/humanity as a whole.
“Impressive but not being able to evolve” is such a good power limit to Alastor making his power limited in the same way he is not able/not wanting to evolve and try to keep up like the Vees
I wanna add onto the Alastor and Roo thing: The Adam VS Alastor fight. I've seen a few people also notice this, WHY didn't Alastor use an Angelic weapon, OR his ACTUAL FULL POWERS when fighting Adam. We SAW what he can do! In the pilot and Ep. 2 when he OBLITERATES Pentious, in 'Stayed Gone' when he's threatening Vox at the end, in Ep. 6 when the loan sharks arrive, and in a bunch of other instances. We ALSO saw him killing the other Exorcists with Angelic Steel axes, AND they weren't able to pass through his magic shield, only Adam was able to destroy it (wich i think its wierd he did it so easily, AND Alastor STILL wasn't serious, so he either LET him destroy it, or he wasn't planning on fighting him seriously in the first place.) While he seems to be mainly a spell caster, he WAS a serial killer in life, and probably has at least SOME knife skills, heck maybe even gun skills. Some suggested that he never fought an angel and was being cocky, thinking he can deal with Adam on his own. I don't think that's the case. I think he wasn't ALLOWED to kill him. Adam being alive means Lilith is not in Hell, and cannot help her people fight back against the Angels -> this causes "overpopulation" and the Exorcists to be sent from Heaven -> Sinners fully die and Roo feeds on their energy Of course, if Alastor can't kill Adam, this means he almost dies, and he finally realizes just how EXPENDABLE he is. Both from Roo's AND Lilith's side. But I do believe that Lilith has made a deal with Alastor, maybe not a SOUL deal, but a deal nonetheless. Roo and Lilith are indirectly fighting against each other, THROUGH Alastor. And he KNOWS this. In 'Finale', in his part Alastor sings about how he almost died for Charlie and the gang- " "Alastor, altruist, died for his friends" " -but as he said, he's now hungry for freedom like never before and REFUSES to be a pawn in someone elses chess game "I'm sorry to disappoint, that is NOT where this ends". While this is him refusing to acknowledge he got attached and hating the idea that if he died he would be considered a martyr ('Ew, feelings. I hate weakness.') it is ALSO him recognizing that if it came down to it, he *will die for the Hotel.* ***Whether he wants to, or not.*** (Btw, I LOVE and ADORE Alastors Mental Breakdown sequence SO MUCH.) If Roo tells him to die at the hands of angel to keep the Exterminations going? He'll die. If Lilith tells him to die to protect Charlie and her dream? He'll die. If he gets attached to the people he's forced to be around and has to protect them of his own volition? He'll die. This deal and promise that he has WILL KILL him, and he wants OUT. Also, I want to point out, that while I do think Alastor is brewing up to be a third-act evil villain, I ALSO think, that he will end up being good as well. (Maybe not redeemed, but at least better then he is right now.) Now, this is going to start sounding kinda conspirational, but hear me out! The name 'Alastor' while meaning 'Tormentor' and 'Spirit of Revenge' it ALSO is an epithet given to Zeus, meaning 'Protector of Man' or 'Avenger of Evil Deeds'. This name/title was given to many beings and heros but eventually it turned into a sort of insult and was associated with evil spirits. AND Vivzie herself has highlighted that a big element of Alastors characterization, is his duality. He is unpredictable, his actions often go against his character (like how he's supposedly a known deal maker but refuses to make deals in the show: when he offers Vaggie help with the ad, when he asks a favor from Charlie and when he declines/ignored Rosie telling him there's an easy target for a deal), how in his singing numbers he often LITERALLY inverts/changes his colors, and how his room is half a nice cozy study and half GIANT BAYOU DIMENSION. His conflicting personality/actions, reflect the conflicting forces that hold power over him. IN FACT, this ENTIRE SHOW is about conflicting forces! Heaven - Hell, Good - Evil, Damnation - Paradise. And THE ENTIRE PLOT is centered on finding that gray area, "If Hell is forever then Heaven must be a lie, if Angels can do whatever and remain in the sky! *The rules are shades of gray if you don't do as you say,* " The rules of Heaven and Hell are literally black and white, and it's Charlies goal to find that gray area. But in doing so, she will have to acknowledge the darker shades of gray as well. Maybe a certain morally gray character who is literally tearing at the seems, and is desperate enough to do absolutely anything, even betray those he loves to escape his binds? 👀 Idk, just a few thoughts, lol. (If you can't tell, this show has me in a choke hold and will NOT let go.) Anyway, if you read through this absolute theory word vomit, thanks! Hope you have a nice day :3 (I wrote a comment that almost was twice as long as this one before deleting it after realizing i did not explain ANYTHING i was talking about, so you were spared.) Edit: Also i think that Roo is Eve, in a sense that they're NOT the same person, but Eve, by eating the Fruit of Knowledge got infected and SHE was the one to make humanity evil, seeing as she's the wife of Adam, the first Man, she was able to influence humanity. Lucifer and Lilith gave Eve the Fruit of Knowledge, the (maybe metaphorical maybe literal) seeds from it turned into a sapling/roots, infecting Eve and turning her into Roo, and Roo influencing her and Adam's offspring (again, maybe metaphorical maybe literal) into doing evil deeds, wich got Lucifer and Lilith banished from Heaven into Hell. Since Eve and Roo aren't the same person, Roo could have went down to Hell and Eve could have stayed in Heaven, giving Roo a view on both fronts. This intel could REALLY make her a TERRYFING villain. She has influence over Earth, Hell AND Heaven. Less like a Tree and more like a system of Fungi. You can NEVER truly get rid of the whole thing. It's hidden deep in the soil, and getting complete rid of it will take a LOT of work.
People need to stop snuffing copium when it comes to that. its okay that lastor got bested. true he didn't turn into a giant, but he had to be careful in that fight against adam. being a bigger target wouldn't be tactically sound there.
There are three separate cannibal breadcrumbs around Alastor that stood out to me. Vox cooking the deer head in the should've stayed gone song, Alastor himself eating a rotten deer in his room when Vaggie dumps the eggboys on him, and then short king Lucifer with Alastor's head on a platter during the hell's greatest dad song. I'm thinking his deal and powers are WAY more connected to the cannibals in some way. The theory that Rosie is hellborn would make a lot of sense and he's tied to her in some way.
Alastor clearly hates his deal. If he were tied to Rosie, he definitely would not be half as friendly with her. He was a cannibal in life - so was she if she's not hellborn - so I think they're just fellow Overlords who connected over ~shared interests~.
yeah, he was canonically feasting on the bodies of his victims when he was shot and fatally wounded by a hunter. With him being a wendigo and all, he was mistaken for a deer by the hunter.
@@espressocookie8965 He was not canonically doing any such thing. He was *burying* a body when he was shot. Vivsiepop has said he was a serial killer in life, but didn't become a cannibal until after he was dead. I'm thinking Rosie probably had a lot to do with that new habit. Also, he's not a wendigo, though his design is *inspired* by that.
Well if I'm correct, Alastor also in a way, or he has actually stated, he's a cannibal. Which would explain why him and Rosie have an okay and good friendship.
If you pay close attention, at the meeting where the angels are revealed to be kill able alastor can be spotted in the background tasting the blood off the head.
I like the idea of Roo having control over certain overlords'/demons' ability to communicate broadly to others (Alastor and his radio show/inability to be shown on TV, Lilith and her songs, and maybe she is also somehow responsible for Niffty freezing up every time she's on camera, hahaha).
I'd say his shadow makes more sense as it doesn't reflect him and has a mind of its own, this would also allow roo to have some freedom as a presence seeing they are stuck and rooted to the floor@@st9973
I had a similar thought process in thinking Lilith is a red herring and that Alastor is bound by something "older than Hell," but I could have never come up with a theory this complex and compelling
its complex because it starts with something that can make sense and then builds of that in ways that we have ZERO evidence for. it is a REACH at its best. still fun thought experiment
1:49 Actually in Helluva Boss the inventor and sinner Loopty Goopty appears to have a large arsenal of powers and abilities despite having died minutes prior to his arrival in I.M.P.’s office. To quote: Blitzø: “*gags* this old fuck reeks of the living world! Did you JUST die?” Loopty: YEEEES moments ago in fact! Which is what brought me here! He busted through their wall, summons weapons from his body and is able to control wires/cables that extend from his body while being fresh meat in hell.
My thought is the more souls you kill in the real world, the more powerful you are when you die and arrive in hell. I mean, alastor was a serial killer from Louisiana of all places.
This even works into Alastors song in the finale, where he says, "Guess who will bs pulling all the strings?" Roots, connected to every sinner, like puppet strings?
maybe roo and eve are in the center of wonderland a place told about in livestreams that basickly the center of hells demonic energy also imagin if adam finds him if he becomes a demon which im willing to bet will probabably happen
..... And roo herself might be already seen. whenever you look up in the sky in the pride ring, you see heaven, out if reach, but a strange, black planet with a pentagram on it. So hear me out. Both of those planets re living beings. haeven is the entity of 'good' that the angels worshipped, birthed from her. roo, the entity of evil, is the planet with the pentagram. she's been sealed away by her sister, heaven.
In time you will know what it’s like to lose to feel so desperately that you’re right and to fail all the same. It’s frightening, turns the bones to jelly. Dread it, run from it, But destiny still arrives.
I really enjoyed your hypothetical storyline! You had some awesome theories and I might be disappointed if some of them don't end up being canon. A few of these theories I'm not sure are realistic, but my favorite is the one about Roo feeding on the souls of the executed. Probably the best theory I've heard about the show! All this time, the angels have been executing sinners to prevent evil from rising up, but have unwittingly been feeding the greatest threat of all. I could see this culminating with a drastic battle where heaven and hell team up to defeat the greatest evil.
I think it would make sense for Lilith to be powerful right off the bat. Adam was also a human. And he had literal light beams. Being the first ever humans may have given them some bonuses.
And plus, regular sinners can’t have kids, so her having a child with Lucifer would be impossible if she was a normal sinner. I personally believe at Camilla had her kids in the real world and they possibly died at the same time. Either that or Camilla has a unique ability to have kids, but in that case I would think we would see another parent
What if Roo is actually weakened by the annual purges? I keep thinking of Sera saying, "There's so much that you don't know." Also, "...do what was required."
This would be an amazing twist! The more souls in hell, the more power Roo has. What if Roo *is* Hell as well? Like Hell is Roo's soul, for own of a better word. Souls are power, so stuffing her own with tiny bits of power could be the best way to grow in strength. It would also be the most important reason for The Reaping
@@luminariel3765 Or, possible alternative, If Roo really is the embodiment of Evil then it's possible that she feeds off of the very essence of sin. The less sinners there are in Hell, the less evil acts Roo has to feed on. But since more and more people end up in Hell and the Angel's don't know why they're going to Hell, they settle for the next best thing, which is just culling the population once a year in the hopes that Roo won't get powerful enough to do whatever big evil plan she has in mind
Don't forget sir pentious went to heaven after death and we see Adam's carcass lie still What we don't know might be that the demons have to naturally become good and die naturally in the purge
@@luminariel3765 I would say it's more that Roo is the soul of Hell, not the other way around. The very consciousness of the plane of pure evil itself with a bottomless hunger for agony, bloodshed, and tormented souls.
Quite the opposite, If the extermination was successful, Roo gets to eat Vegas buffet but If Hell can repel the angels, Roo gets to eat five stars. So whoever lose, She's wins.
small thing, i don't want val to die, i weirdly enough like his voice, unique or something (i think i like his accent that sometimes comes out) , also.... he can't suffer for all he's done if he's dead >:)
One thing I noticed about Alastor is that he may not have been so strong right from the get go. If the story Mimzy tells is true Even when Alastor started making waves he was never seen doing any of it and was credited because of him broadcasting their screams from the radio. So if he could have just been a lackie/friend with a powerful being at the start instead of being very strong from the get go and gained the power later.
Most likely yes. My point is that this is a possibility that I have not seen anybody bring up and instead just assume he was immediately absurdly strong when entering hell.
My theory is that all sorcery used by the denizens of Hell are styled around their history and/or personality. Everybody's favorite strawberry pimp has the voodoo esthetic because of his heritage, Charlie's is very much like a sparkly version of hellfire, Husk has magic gambling tools like dice and cards, etc. Etc.
This is the best theory I have heard so far. I always thought that the idea that Lilith had him on a leash was a red herring, and that they were both somehow fighting together against a stronger enemy, but I didn't imagine any details.
Bro this analysis and theories you made is fcking awesome, keep going that way and dont let someone to involve in your mind or ideas, i mean yes, you can but you must to be careful and KNOW who you are listening to and who you are letting in to your own ideas... in regards this channel and your life. You´re doing great ! Keep going and best regards.
The idea of Roo feedin of demons who died in hell, is great. Not only it makes her perfect antagonist for Charlie, as their goals literally against each others, but it also goes with the idea of her being evil incarnate and a literal root. When whey go to a hell whey are evil, and if whey die in hell without ascending, it means, whey are like... double evil. 2 full lives of evil. pure, irredimable evil. This is something that would be aa great soure of power for evil incarnate.
Alistor has the same magical source as Zestial, as his magic often has a green skull motif, the same as Beezlebub uses to create his tea in the board room.
His magical power comes from mathematics. Those veve symbols look like coordinate axes, like something a radio engineering student would doodle on their homework while studying Poynting vectors.
This is one of my favourite theories. Also it’s fun that Roo has tree-like elements - I wonder if she watched Eve’s original sin through the apple tree (or she is Eve)
My theory is Alastor was inspired by the Ax Man. A serial killer from New Orleans that would send letters to the police saying he would kill only people that weren't playing jazz on their radios at night
@@lunarssecond I’m pretty sure he wrote the “from hell” letter and told everyone to “jazz it” (his words not mine) on one particular night that I think was a Tuesday. He could’ve written more letters that I’m not remembering, but the jazz incident was a one time thing.
Viv said he isn't inspired by any real life killer. She compares him to Dexter, especially with his moral code. So that means his victims during his life were ppl he sees as the scum of the earth.
I'm really happy for it just like I'm happy the channel has come so far especially since I joined the sub list back durin the days of Steven bombs and the black diamond theory.
Lilith isn’t a Sinner, and Carmilla had her kids when she was alive. A sinner demon is a human that died and went to hell, and Lilith never died. She was just banished to hell alongside Lucifer after they gave Eve the fruit of forbidden knowledge, and transformed into a demon when she was, just like Lucifer himself(we see his true form in the final episode of season 1, and he is very much a demon).
The beginning of this video had me cackling. Your theory has some strong points. It would also explain why Alastor came after Lucifer the way he did. He's probably still bitter about Lilith healing him so he can play babysitter to Charlie and likely took it out on him.
I still can't seem to shake Zestial's line to Alastor in episode 3.. He said that there were rumors that Alastor "fell to holy arms". To which Alastor responds by turning away with shifting eyes while explaining it away as a "sabbatical". I can't tell if it was a hint for Alastor's absence, or if it was just a "wild rumor" they threw in there for the sake of having a rumor about him.
I've done some digging but silva hound, the music producer of addict from angel's mv, has made a song thats title is exactly, root of all evil, but the lyrics seems to be about family, it might not be important info but its something i think
I really like your Theory. I think that's exactly how it should be in the Series. This has so much potential. And on top of that, I would like to see Alastors redemption ark.
I do want to mention something about Vox and Alastor's relationship, in the "Show Must Go On" music number specifically the Vee's part there's a scene where there's a picture of Alastor being stabbed by a knife if you pay attention to the photo it isn't just Alastor in it. there's also Vox in it now weather or not this means that they were friend or associates at some point is up to interpretation tho
There is also a small issue with your theory, if you want to take a stab at a correction. Husker and Nifty, in particular. We know that Alastor at least owns Husker's soul, as we see him conjure the chains that hold him. We can presume then, that he likely also holds Nifty's soul - though this is less certain - as he literally summoned her into the Hotel like he did Husker. These are two souls connected clearly to Alastor and not Roo, meaning not all of the souls Alastor collects go to Roo. The same goes for Charlie; if collecting souls can't bolster his power and instead strengthens Roo, then all Alastor would be doing is handing Charlie's soul to Roo on a platter. I do love this theory and hope there's some truth to it. I stand by Roo being the one who has Alastor's soul in chains; his powers manifesting as tentacles never made much sense to me, unless you consider the possibility that he gains them through an eldritch, almost Lovecraftian beast. And Roo certainly checks all the boxes there.
Husker wasn't killed like the other overlords. Rather than challenging the radio demon in combat, he either gambled his soul and lost or struck a deal willingly in exchange for power, so in this particular instance, Husker's soul belongs to only Alastor and not Roo (I think) Charlie's first offer for a deal likely would have followed like Husker's. Since he's the one making the deal, he's the one that gets the soul. As for for her second offer where she accepted, wasn't for her soul, it was for a favor. Alastor knew who had experience in killing angels, and in exchange he would need a favor at a later time and date. What that favor is we don't yet know. As for Niffty...I get the feeling there's more to her than meets the eye. A quick trip to the wiki reveals no origin like the other characters which leads me to believe that she may not have one. I get the feeling that if this theory holds true, she and Roo might be connected somehow and that she is supposed to keep watch over Alastor
@thetruebandicoot2036 Honestly, nothing in the Wiki holds water. Up until Episode 5, Vaggie had an entirely different backstory. None of that is canon; if it wasn't in the pilot and maybe the comics, it holds zero water now. As for Husker, I don't know that disproves my point. The question was more so, why would Roo let Alastor have _any_ souls of his own? Why would she not claim them all to gain even more power over him? She could still *send* him souls to use, but Husker is very clearly Alastors, not Roos. It doesn't make much sense. On the topic of Charlie, I was more going for the idea that him refusing to take Charlie's sould could arguably strengthen the theory, as he's probably seeking a loophole. Rather than a soul, which would go straight to Roo, he is going for a favor. Ultimately, I just think there's weaknesses here in both theories. I don't think they're wrong, just in need of a trim and polish.
For the voodoo stuff, sinner get power that are representative of when they were alive. He is part creole, so he might have dabbled in voodoo before death. Might have been why he was a serial killer, since some branches of voodoo can need dead people.
Hopefully this is how the story will go. I love the theory you came up with and if this ain’t the way it goes, hopefully someone can make a fan version.
@@caitlinpanettieri4957 It depends on how devout of a christian she is. I mean, she take part in a movie where a teenage girl signs a magical soul contract with a sea witch to give up her voice in exchange for some legs to try to find her true love.
Tbh a little modification to the theory: the picture Vox stabs in the finale song is clearly a pic of Alastor WITH Vox. They were friends at one point, their duet even hints at it.
OOOOOOOOHOHO THIS HAS GOT TO BE MY FAVORITE HAZBIN THEORY IN A HOT MINUTE especially since ive NEVER seen roo before (and ive been here since the speedpaint days) this makes so much sense ESPECIALLY if roos supposed to be an important character in the future
I swear Roo is already my fav char, I just love overpowered characters that still very rarely use the full extent of their power, until provoked/putting their foot down. and what if, somehow Emily and Charlie convince hell and heaven to work together, against Roo, maybe even the Good counterpart for Roo being the one to end her
i think lilith just having power as she manifested is the most likely option considering alastor and liliths reign just being continuous due to the amount of souls they got their hands on via deals
I know it's almost certainly a coincidence but I can't help but find it amusing the possible connections between Roo and Alastor, specifically because of the name. Alastor being Creole and invoking the powers of an entity named Roo, which sounds exactly like "roux" - a common base ingredient in Creole cooking. Which includes dishes like jambalaya, something Alastor said his mother had a recipe for with "a kick straight out of hell."
If Roo is really connected to Alastor, then there’s another possible inspiration for her name. A “rougarou” alternately spelled as “rugaroo”, is a monster from Cajun legend that’s similar to a werewolf and is associated with witchcraft.
Alastors powers being sourced from another entity would explain why his fight with Adam ended so abruptly. I found it so weird that in the middle of their fight his powers seem to just…disappear. Whenever I bring this up people dismiss it by saying that Alastor was just not as strong as Adam but like did we not watch the same scene. He was in full beast mode one second and then his staff just breaks the next and he’s on the ground like normal the next second. He’s this supposed powerhouse of a demon but he just gets taken down with one hit??? The math ain’t mathing. I don’t know if it’s specifically Roo who he made the deal with but whoever he did make the deal with is limiting his powers.
see with you mentioning the staff, i wonder if some of the power comes from the staffs, like magical imbued items. because it was after adam basically attacked the staff where this all falls into place and he has to flee
my personal believe alastor is possessed by an angel. Voddo is base about contacti powerful entity that can be good, neutrall or evil. i think inlife he made contact of possessionwith a fallan angel. So he has some sort of corropt angelic power that can be used against demons or overlords. More less he is like abomination from dragon age, too beginning alastor loves the contact giving so much power and the fallen angel being moreless disinterested but something happened 7 years ago and now the angel is influenced alastor thinking, the confine of two is so thin,it is impossible knows who is charge. This angel has given up but charlie project awaked them, and now most alastor action are inleash because the angel stopped them. For example alastor isn't stupid, in fact his shield used angelic weapons but he didn't use agaist adam, like i said the angel now is aw
@@Cc81727 honestly I think this is most accurate reading of the fight, and it still leaves room for theories about the power not being his. He simply did not have enough power, regardless of if it was his own, despite being more well-trained for the fight.
I thought it was canon that human souls who die/are killed by anything other than angelic weaponry typically just remanifest in hell if they're not selfless like Sir Pentious (who remanifested but in heaven).
the way valintino died was natural or from old age because his carector is a butterfly and that's a thing for nature so yeah.. i think you should do a vid on that.
Crazy theory: Alastor met Husk, Niffty and even Vox when they were alive, just like Mimzy. That is probably why he is able to come out on top regarding them.
@@Chaoticgames-08 Well, it does not rule the theory that he knew them in life, he could have met them when they were very young. It could be hilarious if Alastor knows them so well because they have not changed that much over an afterlife and over the years.
husk died in the 70s but at around 70 years old so its very possible he knew alastor in life. Especially since he's so familiar with mimzy. Niffty was born around the time Al died so she isn't likely. It would be weird for a grown man to have a relationship with a child Unless they were related. Or she was just a random child he ran into once on the street. Vox died in the 50s but was middle aged so its possible he has a history with Al, though he'd be young, like in his 20s if he met Al toward the end of Al's life: But it makes sense with the TV being invented in '27 and Al dying in '33, TV killed radio as the primary broadcast entertainment platform, Al would hate TV. and a young Vox, embracing a televised future would inevitably foster an antagonistic relationship with Al.
This is such a good theory, ties up so much together, my only problem with it is how did Alastair let slip to one of his collected souls that he's on a leash, that was the only thing that had me thinking it was in that 7 year disappearance that he made a deal since that's when he could have had been forced into it infront of the bartender (I'm bad with names) but I didn't even think about a prior deal before that disappearance till this amazing video!
I also had this thought. Why would Alastor actually admit to Husk that he is on a leash? Like, it doesn't really seem that Alastor values, respects or trusts Husk so much he would tell him about his possible weakness. Especially considering his reaction when Husk reminds him. The only way for Husk to know about it is if the whole thing happened in his presence.
Anyone who has made a deal has the whites of their eyes red, and angel only made a deal for when he's in the studio so his is only half red. It may be just that, anyone can see.
I saw somewhere where it said that when Husker told Alastor that he's on a leash also, he meant how mimzy hypothetically has him on a leash because she always asks him to deal with the problems she lands herself in He didn't tell Husk, he just felt threatened by Husk saying that
That's a damn good theory and it rounds out everyone involved very well. It's nice to come across a theory that isn't readily villainizing Lilith and is actually doing a real deep dive into the situation while also acknowledging the fact that she is an idol for independence and is shown to have good care for her family and her domain (as evidenced by Charlie Ep1 + the family portraits). I feel like it is absolutely possible for at least some of this to be canon, it just makes sense.
Something that is quite intresting about hazbin hotel is that Normal sinners have yellow eyes Owned sinners have black eyes (Meaning someone owns their soul) and sinners that own souls have red eyes Noticing this detail, we do see 3 times where Alastor's eyes turn black 1. In Episode 2 at the very end of the "Stayed gone" song his eyes turn black while threatening Vox to kill him 2. In Episode 5 when he gets mad at Husk for saying "big talk for someone who's also on a leash" his eyes turn black in anger and even threatens Husk to tear his soul apart. Bonus theory mentioning this part is that the chain is Husks soul because when the chain gets pulled he looks like he's getting choked or in a type of pain. 3. When he finds out Mimzy (EP 5) brought danger to the hotel, his eyes turn black for the whole time he kills/eats the danger bringers or the battle for short. 4. In episode 8 when Adam beats Alastor his eyes turn black in anger but he can't do anything so he runs away to an abandoned/chilling place to escape. ANOTHER THEORY in episode 8 to prove he's owned by someone is that "Im hungry for freedom like never before, the constrengths of my deals surely have a backdoor" is that he wants to be free from the deal to earn limitless power from the favour he asked Charlie (Which she agreed too) in episode 7. Alastors eyes in the overall full release of the show is a mixture of black and red because he's owned by someone and he owns a lot of hells souls for power hope this helped :)
Ive had many problems with the series thus far, but I still love this concept, animation, and character moments. Your theories are always imaginative, poetic, tragic, and very entertaining. Always love watching your vids! 🎉 Keep up the good work
Love the Alastor deal with Roo. Cuz if you look at the radio there's beaches next to it. Also if you look at his horns... They resemble thorn branches.
Yeah it would be better if it roo not lilith or the viod that being exist too means the nothing aswell if roo root of evil exist so her enemy oppiside the root of good like with vatu and raava
Story-wise Lilith would make sense at first glance because it would have to be a) someone strong enough to keep Alastor, who is already arguably one of the strongest Overlords still alive, in line but also b) someone who wants Charlie to succeed, again this makes Lilith the most likely candidate since we’ve seen Alastor does NOT like Lucifer … but what if Charlie’s success *isn’t* Alastor’s boss’s goal? In the Pilot he mentions he wanted to help Charlie as an “investment in on-going entertainment for myself”, in this respect what could be more entertaining than building Charlie up to her peak then tearing it all down? This therefore disqualifies Lilith (assuming she’s a genuinely loving mother) and now I’m excited imagining Alastor is in cahoots with Roo 😆😆😆 Thanks for the new video Finny-Finn-Finn and hug your furbabies all 💙🐱💙 P.S “Monarch I’d Likely Fear” … God bless you Finn 😇😇😇
Lilith is a class of demon's known for killing newborn/unborn babies, I really don't think Viv would research that and still seek to make her a loving mother.
@@qs-ii1872 given how little we’ve seen of Lilith this is all guessing on my part but my main reason is that Charlie called Lilith after the interview went went badly. Why would she call her mother if they had a poor relationship? But of course there’s the fact that Lilith seemed to be keeping Charlie away from Lucifer in her childhood … but right now it depends on how Charlie views Lilith. Much like with Stella we simply haven’t seen enough to know if she’s a bad mother or not 😕😕😕
thinking to small there. Charlie is seemingly feared in heaven, from what i got. She is a known quantity and people are dnervous about her up there. Sera herself seemed very unsettled by charlie's presence. She greeted charlie, at first, in her Battle Form after all. Could be alastor was pulled into some grander scheme to undo the entirety of the status quo right now, of heaven and hell, with charlie at the center.
@@qs-ii1872Lilith is known for A LOT of things in the mythos out there about her. There are many stories. I'm sure Vivzie knows about them. She literally brought in the Ars Goetia, which I'm sure most were never were even aware of.
@@taddad2641 have to disagree. The way Heaven talked about Charlie? None of it was in an “oh no, we should get her out of here because she’s dangerous!” Adam and to a lesser (but-still-noticeable degree) Sera treated Charlie like an annoyance, Sera even called her “Lucifer’s misguided daughter”. Whatever’s really going on I doubt they’re afraid of Charlie *at this point.* Hell Adam nearly killed her and she barely put up a fight, it was only Lucifer stepping in at the 11th hour that saved her. People will probably be crying “her true power only comes out when her friends are in danger!” but look at what happened: a legion of Angels had descended to kill her, her friends, girlfriend and people … but it wasn’t until one of them had died (again) that she finally got serious and even then Adam still tossed her around. Hell she doesn’t even have wings like her father, she needed him to save her a second time! Again, whatever is going on I am certain it is NOT because any of them fear Charlie 🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful theory. Seems pretty much flawless, but given just how little we know about Roo, and how far the road ahead for the show still is, it's really hard to say if any of these things will happen. I almost feel like whatever we get in the future won't be as cool as the theory you've made here and now, but I suppose we'll just have to stick around and see.
Theory? Bruh this is a whole entire story and I love it! Idk how true it will actually be in the end, but still, this was amazing. I can’t belive I’ve never heard of Roo before. As a horror fan, (and a lesbian) she seems right up my alley. Ya’ll fans need to talk about this terrifying queen more! I also had the idea that Alastor made a deal with someone while he was alive, cause like you said, it would explain why he got his powers so fast. Also 16:23 deer onesie lmao.
I love these theories about Alastor, but I do have one problem with all of them. At the end of the 8th episode Alastor rants about wanting to find a loophole to break his contract, and knowing his character he wouldn’t do that if it meant he lost all or most of his power. He would most definitely think about finding a way to break his contract but he would decide not to because he knows the value of power. Considering all of this, please reply to this comment with your theories. Edit: sorry if this ends up being proved wrong, I made this comment halfway through the video.
Finding a loophole might mean finding a way to keep power and break the contract, it may not just mean breaking it. He is trapped and thats not a nice feeling so regardless he is looking for an out.
0:29, never thought I’d see the day you use the word milf, but that’s funny how you changed the acronym. My guess is she’s most likely gonna both your and the other use of the word.
Idk why people are assuming Lilith is a loving mother. We have little evidence of that, and a lot to suggest she's resentful and manipulative. Lucifer seems more depressed and angry. He's got unhealthy coping mechanisms, but seems to be a genuinely good person under it all (at least by hell's standards). Lilith though, was Adam's equal. She may have deep seeded issues, much like Adam. It seems off character to portay Adam as an irredeemable asshat but Lilith being a misguided wall flower.
While I agree with you, those genuinly happy family pictures, one of them where Charlie is already an adult, are confusing me. In the backflash of baby charlie with Lucifer, Lilith seems distant from Lucifer, but in the picture, she is happy with Lucifer and Charlie. Something doesnt add up here.
@@cylonrayzr2742 It could be as simple as she got bored or tired of something we can't see. Real relationships have issues like that all the time. I know people who "loved" their children right up until they realized that they were their own people and not just a smaller version of them. I'm not going to say 100% that Lilith is an awful person. But it would surprise me if she's being coerced or forced into this. I think she just made a selfish choice and people are trying too hard to cope.
Lilith's source material literally names her as the reason for why unborn/newborn babies would suddenly pass away for seemingly no reason, I don't think Viv would make her a loving mother when she clearly researched into these character's lore to design her versions off them. Thank you for being seemingly the only other person who doubts her intentions.
@@qs-ii1872 It could really be true that she simply is a bad mother, no plot twists or actual intentions or anything. We already had this situation with Stella from Helluva boss in Season 1, where people theorized that she might not be a bad mother, only then to turn out to be a horrible mother in season 2. So yeah, it could really be that simple that Lilith is just a bad mother.

20:07 Personally, I think Alastor lost against the Three Vs. considering that in the "Stayed Gone" song he the claim that Vox would be powerless without the other two. Valentino and Velvette smiled either in agreement or as a "thank you for the compliment". its very possible that Alastor just went "Nah, I'd win" and lost a 1v3. not a 1v1 against Vox like most speculate. But hey I could always be wrong I guess, Valentino did say to Vox "you still pissed he almost beat you that time?" implying that it might have truly been a 1v1. edit: spelling
I don't really want to belive that alastor got his powers from a deal, hes just so much more cool without that knowledge, but you still can't deny that he is on a leash. I just hope its not to that root person.
I like the Eve thing, it’s dark - and I like it. I think there’s something more, because Alistor HATED Lucifer before he even walked through the door. This leads me to thinking there’s more to his ‘master’, in that they are someone who loathes Lucifer - could be Lilith, could be Roo, could be Eve. I wonder if perhaps, Roo is limited/caged in somewhere - and Lucifer is the one that put them there when they fell (Lilith aware of this). IMO, based on this video… Lilith became corrupted by Hell, realised Lucifer couldn’t rule Hell how she thought it should be, because he’s not actually a bad person and was ‘too soft’. Then, went to Roo and concocted a plan to over throw Hell. But, when Heaven heard about the overpopulation - she realised she was vulnerable, because Queen or not, she still has the soul of a sinner and could die (as she wasn’t exempt from the Hellborn clause). So, for self preservation, left Hell. And made the deal with Adam (whatever that may be) IDK, I just don’t see a version in the future where Lilith is actually good. I get the feeling she is disappointed in how Charlie grew up (as a good person) and over time, grew a distain for Lucifer. And maybe that’s why he got so depressed - she could have become cruel and maybe even been abusive towards the end - and he knew he couldn’t help/save her. Lite said that Lilith needed to go down and stop Charlie - and I have a feeling she will try to talk Charlie out of it - knowing she can influence her daughters mind set, and Charlie has to overcome it - maybe giving Lucifer the chance to stand up to her?
I agree with most of this, but I saw another comment pointing out that weird planet in the sky of Pride; there's Heaven visible there, but also another planet with a Pentagram on it. I think that the only entity that can overpower the Root of Evil, is the Root of Good (or whatever their name is). So, maybe Heaven/Root of Good banished Roo to that Pentagram planet I head canon that the most powerful entity is God (but apparently he's absent in the hellverse), then second is Root of Good, third is Root of Evil, fourth probably Sera or some other heavenly being
@@TamWam_ I enjoyed reading this! I hadn't really given much thought to the pentagram 'planet/moon' in the sky - purely because I just thought of it as a more Hell themed moon than just a normal looking thing in the sky... but I see what you're saying, after all, why would Hell need a moon in the first place? And, it's very true, if there is a Root of Evil could there be a Root of Good? Or, is that very root the G Man himself? On the topic of the Root of Good not being God and being a separate entity, that then poses the question of why have they also been absent as well? Given the exterminations being permitted. It almost feels like a 'God has abandoned us' moment - and that what Sera was referring to when she said "but there's a lot that you don't know" to Emily - who (Emily) may be blissfully unaware that God hasn't been in the picture for a while. And when Sera threatened Emily with the notion that she could fall, it felt like a threat more than a warning, regardless of how she tried to word it - Like she's saying 'my way of the highway'. Leading me to then think, Sera is not working for someone - or, doesn't have instructions.
This is one of the best theories that I've heard and I totally agree with it, and if it turns out to be false, it would be really sad! I really hope that it's canon, because it would make so much sence!
I like to think Roo is type of living infection that once was sealed inside the tree of wisdom by either God/powerful angels, giving reason for her name as well as her root aesthetic. Heck, even in the storybooks, the roots of the tree stood out dramatically compared to the other trees shown around it. Maybe Roo is sort of just possessing Lilith?
IDK I think Vox wouldn't have been so mad at Alastor's return if he beat him so easily and Vox doesn't seem like the type of guy to not boast about it so there would be no mystery were Alastor was.
@@kirilpetrov1918 Prideful people don’t handle loss very well, running your mouth into a near tie battle only makes you look less powerful then you claim to be. He probably talked all kinds of shit to Al before they finally fought.
@@evilness3404 I’m pretty sure Viv talked about the sins you committed on Earth amounting to power on the other side. Al’s strong due to his history as a serial killer, though he could’ve been saved or boosted in exchange for his soul or obedience. I namely look at his fight with Vox being his lowest point, where he’d likely refuse to die and sell his soul just to show Vox he’s above losing to him.
I love the idea that Roo is the true main villain. I remember someone mentioning that Roo might actually be controlling Lilith and that Lilith being in Heaven away from her family, is a way for evil to taint heaven and cause angels to deviate from their good and pure intentions. After all, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, right?
This video was a blast to watch! Any theory involving Roo as Alastor’s master immediately piques my interest. I’ve got a theory that I’ve been cooking up for the past week now that, if true, would turn everything we know about the show on its head forever. Fair warning, most of this theory is pure speculation/head canon and parts of it are in direct contradiction of statements that Vivziepop has made in the past. But just because Viv stated something as canon years ago doesn’t mean that things can’t change in the actual show. So, here’s my theory (this is going to sound absurd but just bear with me): What if Roo/Eve is Charlie’s actual biological mom? Before I go any further, we need to establish the difference between Sinners and Hellborn. I’m sure all of you are well aware, but for those who aren’t, Sinners are human souls that lived a life on Earth and were cast down to Hell after they died for living wicked lives (Angel Dust, Husk, Niffty, Alastor, the Overlords). The Hellborn are creatures that were born and raised in Hell itself and never had previous lives on Earth (Asmodeus, Stolas, Octavia, Blitz, Loona, Verosika). Vivziepop has stated that Sinners are infertile, meaning they cannot have biological children while in Hell. Hellborn on the other hand are perfectly capable of reproducing naturally. (As a sidenote, I’m not sure if this infertility applies only to Sinners or if it also applies to Winners, human souls who go to Heaven, as well. Maybe Viv has stated it before, I don’t know.) With this knowledge about Sinners and their infertility in mind, Lilith being Charlie’s biological mother doesn’t really make sense. She was a HUMAN soul who was cast down to Hell for helping Lucifer trick Eve into taking a bite of the forbidden fruit. Even if Lilith didn’t die before being banished to Hell, the same Sinner infertility rule should still apply because she is, at her very core, just another human Sinner. During the storybook opening of Episode 1, it is heavily implied that Hell came into existence only because of Eve taking a bite of that apple. What if when Eve took the bite, she quite literally transformed into Hell itself? Eve was twisted by the knowledge of good and evil and was reborn as Roo, the Root of All Evil, the first Hellborn. Roo/Eve is sin itself squeezed into the body of a woman, but that all that darkness eventually twisted her into a grotesque monster hiding underneath that puny human skin. Furthermore, during the same storybook opening, Charlie states that Lucifer and Lilith were “cast down into the dark pit they had created.” They only arrived in Hell AFTER it had been created, not before, thereby allowing Lilith to be the first Sinner and, as Lucifer’s wife, the first Queen of Hell. We know that Lucifer’s confidence and self-esteem was all but destroyed after being cast out of Heaven, seemingly leaving Lilith to run Hell as more Sinners began to arrive. But as the eons went on and Hell developed into what it is in the show, both of them yearned for something more than a kingdom-a family. But there was just one problem. While archangels like Lucifer and Sera can have children, Lilith is technically a human Sinner, and therefore incapable of producing offspring in Hell. They tried many times, potentially even resorting to magic to make it work, but to no avail. Finally, in a last ditch desperate attempt, they turned to the one woman who had been there since Day 0-Roo/Eve. Maybe they still knew her as Eve, though she was most likely unrecognizable, and definitely one of, if not, the strongest being in all of Hell by this point. Lucifer and Lilith bring Roo a proposition: bring them a child with Lucifer’s help, and they’ll raise it as their own and give it a loving home, under the condition that Roo have absolutely ZERO contact whatsoever with the child. Roo, being the cunning and malevolent psychopath that she is and filled with silent hatred for what they did to her in the Garden of Eden, heartily agrees, but only on two conditions: 1) she gets to name her child, and 2) she gets to keep ownership of her child’s soul. This last condition worries Lucifer and Lilith, but they rationalize that there is nothing Roo can do to manipulate their child if she has no contact with it. The two of them agree, Lucifer and Roo do the nasty, and nine months later, out pops a healthy baby girl. Roo names her daughter Charlotte and has Lucifer sign a contract that gives Roo ownership of her daughter’s soul. Lucifer and Lilith quickly depart from Roo’s presence, and this is the last time Roo has any direct contact with her daughter for the next 200 years. (Charlie’s canon age is 200 years old.) Lucifer and Lilith are thrilled to finally have a daughter of their own, and they resolve to distance themselves and Charlotte from Roo as much as possible. They give her the nickname Charlie instead of calling her Charlotte, though they keep Charlotte as her full official name. They raise Charlie to be a kind and compassionate soul, not only because that’s what they want their daughter to be, but because they hope that by instilling goodness within her from a young age, they can keep whatever darkness she inherited from her biological mother at bay for as long as possible. Roo watches her daughter grow up from the shadows, from the many eyes that dot the buildings and furniture of Hell, smiling with malevolent glee the whole time, for she knows something that Lucifer and Lilith are only now starting to realize. Roo knows that as her and Lucifer’s daughter, Charlotte wields an unimaginable amount of power compared to her father and adopted mother. All Roo is waiting for is the day when the darkness within her daughter finally takes over and unlocks her full power, and Roo can use her ownership of daughter’s soul to transform her into the ultimate superweapon. A superweapon capable of razing all of Heaven and Hell, allowing Roo to rule all of Creation for herself. But what Roo didn’t anticipate was how loving and compassionate Charlie would turn out to be. Roo becomes increasingly frustrated with her daughter’s lack of evil tendencies and worries that she may never unlock her true strength by herself. Roo knows that she can’t just show up and force Charlie to be evil. Not only is it impossible because of her and Lucifer’s agreement, trying to force Charlie would only make her into a permanent enemy. Roo knows that Charlie has to darken her heart on her own, or at least, Roo can’t directly influence Charlie on her own. Enter Alastor. Let’s assume that everything that happened between Roo and Alastor in this video applies to this theory as well. Their relationship started off as symbiotic, then eventually devolved into a master/slave situation. Alastor most likely learned about Charlotte Morningstar’s true parentage and ultimate purpose from Roo herself (before their relationship soured), and a plan starts to form in his head. We know from Episode 8 that Alastor wants out of whatever deal he’s in VERY VERY BADLY, and that he’s willing to trick or kill anyone to free himself. So why not use his master’s ultimate plan against her? This next part is a bit shaky, but it’s the best explanation I have. After he and Roo have their falling out, Alastor goes to Lilith and reveals Roo’s ultimate plan for Charlie, and Lilith is overcome by fear and guilt. How could she have not seen that this is what Roo intended from the beginning? Unable to take the shame, she runs away to Heaven to avoid the pain of telling her daughter that she’s been lied to her whole life. But Lilith running away is exactly what Alastor wanted. With her gone, and Roo unable to reveal herself to Charlie, Alastor starts cozying up to Charlie in an effort to get her into a position where they would make a deal. He knows that he can’t just take her soul, both he and Lucifer know that Roo owns it. Instead, he just needs Charlie to owe him a favor, and he figures that that can give him enough leverage or create some loophole/backdoor that would get Roo to release him from her control. But now that Adam is dead, Lilith has no choice but to return to Hell, which throws a wrench in Alastor’s plans. Where we go from here, I have no idea. Both Roo and Alastor want Charlie on their side to use as leverage or as a weapon against the other. Alastor’s advantages are that Charlie now owes him a favor and Roo can’t reveal herself in front of Charlie. Roo’s advantage is that she owns Charlie and Alastor’s souls, and she figures that’s all the advantage she’ll need against her insolent servant. If anyone actually read to the end of this fucking essay, I salute you! I’m sure none of this is even remotely true, but if even a fraction of it turns out to be correct, I’ll be beyond thrilled!
One problem with the souls theory ab the souls being absorbed by Roo. If the souls made roo stronger, why would sarah still want the extermination to happen ? If Roo rises in power that could potentially harm heaven and the extermination means more souls for Roo. unless Sarah doesn’t know about Roo.
11:08 i love your whole theory on roo actually, her being rooted to the ground, idk if you mention it as im not far in- but she also has eyes everywhere which makes sense, and then the souls going to her, endless power.
Lilith is a sinner, but she is an alive one, probably made immortal by Lucifer
Depends I guess…?
Lilith is regarded as a demon instantly upon her refusal to submit to Adam, in most text she left Eden willingly. She literally grows wings, horns, and flies away.
(But she also eats the lifeforce of unborn/newborn children, Soo….)
I think it ties into everyone having a hellish and heavenly form by nature, I think it’s just one of those things that naturally happen when your soul changes.
She likely can have kids due to Lucifer being such a powerful Angel, who have previously been mentioned to be able to create life. Razzle and Dazzle were both plushies, so who knows what he could’ve used to make Charlie, maybe a doll or something…?
@@ryanthecringeanimator9541 possibly, but that leaves the question: was she made immortal by Lucifer before or after entering Hell?🤔
I dont think vox had ANY upper hand on Alastor "almost beat you" can also also mean stalemate or vox running the hell away

I believe it meant Alastor had Vox almost beaten, then the other two Vs jumped in and defeated Al. Valentino probably shot him with Carmine bullets, hence his severe injuries.
Eh it’s prob Alastor didn’t beat him so he can keep playing with him

@@GolAcheron-fc4ugSatan is a Deadly Sin (Wrath) in this setting
Dont forget the eye on his staff.
However in the pilot it spoke, but not in the actual show.
Roo is Pride personified, the very reason everyone in hell, is in hell.
Llilth & Lucifer included.
Pride being the original sin, the root of all evil & the deadliest of the 7 sins
In the bible it talks of the spirit of pride entering peoples hearts, leading them down a path of sin.
@@ptek69 Nope.
Lucifer is Pride in the setting
Or…Carmilla had them when she was alive and they died along with her
Also Lilith has been known to be the original succubus so she may be technically “hellborn” and that’s how she had Charlie
She was the first woman, so why would the angels create humanity to be weak if they never expected them to eat the apple in the first place?
They probably just lose a lot of power every generation like what we see with Paimon (A fallen angel) and Stollas, eventually just making humans just as special as any other random animal running around.
It could very well be that Lilith hasn’t died yet, technically not making her a “sinner” and meaning she can have kids.
@@tompotter8703 Yeah that's what I was thinking. She was alive when she was cast into Hell with Lucifer, and as the first created woman she might be ageless, but killable, or going to Hell when you are alive stops you at the phase you entered.
Actually, Lucifer is the one who had Charlie, as in Birthed her (Viv confirmed in her discord server)
That makes no sense, unless you're saying she was created from clay like Lilith was.@@danidinizcireno3560
Like a *_voodoo doll._*
And not to mention that all the Veve show up... so that's an undeniable link you made, Finn!
@@thenebulaxyz8849 infertility is a curse to sinners, and she is a sinner regardless if she retained ah uman body.
@@taddad2641 Sinners are dead humans that sinned while alive. Living humans can have children even if they are serial killers; they don't magically become infertile before. Lilith is not dead, so the "Sinner Infertility Curse" doesn't apply to her, which is why she was able to have Charlie.
Fr I thought the same
Yeah Adam is so oddly overpowered for a human soul. I know he’s the first but…really? Something has to be different between Adam/Lilith and Eve/humanity as a whole.
“Impressive but not being able to evolve” is such a good power limit to Alastor making his power limited in the same way he is not able/not wanting to evolve and try to keep up like the Vees
I wanna add onto the Alastor and Roo thing:
The Adam VS Alastor fight.
We ALSO saw him killing the other Exorcists with Angelic Steel axes, AND they weren't able to pass through his magic shield, only Adam was able to destroy it (wich i think its wierd he did it so easily, AND Alastor STILL wasn't serious, so he either LET him destroy it, or he wasn't planning on fighting him seriously in the first place.)
While he seems to be mainly a spell caster, he WAS a serial killer in life, and probably has at least SOME knife skills, heck maybe even gun skills.
Some suggested that he never fought an angel and was being cocky, thinking he can deal with Adam on his own. I don't think that's the case.
I think he wasn't ALLOWED to kill him.
Adam being alive means Lilith is not in Hell, and cannot help her people fight back against the Angels -> this causes "overpopulation" and the Exorcists to be sent from Heaven -> Sinners fully die and Roo feeds on their energy
Of course, if Alastor can't kill Adam, this means he almost dies, and he finally realizes just how EXPENDABLE he is.
I hate weakness.') it is ALSO him recognizing that if it came down to it, he *will die for the Hotel.* ***Whether he wants to, or not.***
(Btw, I LOVE and ADORE Alastors Mental Breakdown sequence SO MUCH.)
If Roo tells him to die at the hands of angel to keep the Exterminations going?
(Maybe not redeemed, but at least better then he is right now.)
Now, this is going to start sounding kinda conspirational, but hear me out!
*The rules are shades of gray if you don't do as you say,* "
The rules of Heaven and Hell are literally black and white, and it's Charlies goal to find that gray area. But in doing so, she will have to acknowledge the darker shades of gray as well.
Maybe a certain morally gray character who is literally tearing at the seems, and is desperate enough to do absolutely anything, even betray those he loves to escape his binds? 👀
Idk, just a few thoughts, lol. (If you can't tell, this show has me in a choke hold and will NOT let go.)
Anyway, if you read through this absolute theory word vomit, thanks! Hope you have a nice day :3
(I wrote a comment that almost was twice as long as this one before deleting it after realizing i did not explain ANYTHING i was talking about, so you were spared.)
Edit: Also i think that Roo is Eve, in a sense that they're NOT the same person, but Eve, by eating the Fruit of Knowledge got infected and SHE was the one to make humanity evil, seeing as she's the wife of Adam, the first Man, she was able to influence humanity.
BRAVO I LOVE THIS THEORY 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This was very awesome to read, thank you! 😊
This is actually a pretty good theory
Roo birthed by eve
This was a creative interpretation! It'll be interesting to see if any of it makes the final draft
If ROO is the cause behind Alastor’s power, then I can imagine ROO possessing him to communicate or as a punishment.
Yooooo that would be so good
I like the idea of Roo having control over certain overlords'/demons' ability to communicate broadly to others (Alastor and his radio show/inability to be shown on TV, Lilith and her songs, and maybe she is also somehow responsible for Niffty freezing up every time she's on camera, hahaha).
Or maybe Roo even uses Alastors staff to spy on him :0
I'd say his shadow makes more sense as it doesn't reflect him and has a mind of its own, this would also allow roo to have some freedom as a presence seeing they are stuck and rooted to the floor@@st9973
Maybe Lilith figured this out and that is why she currently resides in Heaven, because she is too much of a danger in Hell and she knows it.

Don't forget sir pentious went to heaven after death and we see Adam's carcass lie still
What we don't know might be that the demons have to naturally become good and die naturally in the purge

This is such a well thought through theory! I'm curious to see how much of it will come true.. 👀
He could of just been laying low to make himself seem normal then he strikes.
Most likely yes. My point is that this is a possibility that I have not seen anybody bring up and instead just assume he was immediately absurdly strong when entering hell.
He was a serial killer in life, so it makes sense that he'd take a more subtle approach when he was still fresh in Hell.
Etc.
yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking their power is tied to who they were as a person or their practices when they were alive.
I always thought he was a black cat because he was a terrible gambler and probably died from a loan shark or something
This is the best theory I have heard so far. I always thought that the idea that Lilith had him on a leash was a red herring, and that they were both somehow fighting together against a stronger enemy, but I didn't imagine any details.

Ok so if roo has a root motif in this version or this theory, and she looks like eve, could it be possible roo herself was the tree of knowledge?
Beezlebub is Tex’s girlfriend and the demon of gluttony.
His magical power comes from mathematics. Those veve symbols look like coordinate axes, like something a radio engineering student would doodle on their homework while studying Poynting vectors.
This is literally the best theory i've heared, everything just ties so well together and this video was fun to watch it felt like a whole story lol
This is one of my favourite theories. Also it’s fun that Roo has tree-like elements - I wonder if she watched Eve’s original sin through the apple tree (or she is Eve)
My theory is Alastor was inspired by the Ax Man. A serial killer from New Orleans that would send letters to the police saying he would kill only people that weren't playing jazz on their radios at night
well, the killer only did that once, but it still inspired an entire track nicknamed the axeman's jazz so fair enough

Ok, so I need to figure out why Zestial and Alistor have the same green skull motif in their magic.
Alastor specifically mentions that Vox tried to recruit him in "Stayed Gone"
@@anachronity9002 yeah i know but why would al take a photo with vox if he declined him
@@anachronity9002they could've been friends before that but Alastor said no so Vox started to hate him and that hatred grew over time
There is also a small issue with your theory, if you want to take a stab at a correction.
Rather than challenging the radio demon in combat, he either gambled his soul and lost or struck a deal willingly in exchange for power, so in this particular instance, Husker's soul belongs to only Alastor and not Roo (I think)
Charlie's first offer for a deal likely would have followed like Husker's.
I was going to comment that last part, and this is a counterargument as they have powers related to their life's.
I hope Alastor finds some sort of peace and is able to get out of his deal somehow! He has been through a lot 🥺❤
Hopefully this is how the story will go. I love the theory you came up with and if this ain’t the way it goes, hopefully someone can make a fan version.

I swear Roo is already my fav char, I just love overpowered characters that still very rarely use the full extent of their power, until provoked/putting their foot down. and what if, somehow Emily and Charlie convince hell and heaven to work together, against Roo, maybe even the Good counterpart for Roo being the one to end her
“Husband as useful as toilet paper” if either runs out on you you’ll change your tone. lol.
i think lilith just having power as she manifested is the most likely option considering alastor and liliths reign just being continuous due to the amount of souls they got their hands on via deals
Which includes dishes like jambalaya, something Alastor said his mother had a recipe for with "a kick straight out of hell."
ohh that’s a good point! roux can be absolutely powerful depending on the recipe. and like you said “a kick straight from hell”
He was dancing around Adam but Adam just caught him with a lot of power. Basically alastor had way more skill but way less power and it showed.
@@Cc81727 this maybe the case
@@Cc81727 honestly I think this is most accurate reading of the fight, and it still leaves room for theories about the power not being his. He simply did not have enough power, regardless of if it was his own, despite being more well-trained for the fight.
I thought it was canon that human souls who die/are killed by anything other than angelic weaponry typically just remanifest in hell if they're not selfless like Sir Pentious (who remanifested but in heaven).
the way valintino died was natural or from old age because his carector is a butterfly and that's a thing for nature so yeah.. i think you should do a vid on that.
Kinda more of a fanfic than a theory, but I'm so here for it
Roo... "Root of all Evil"... Like the tree in the garden Adam and Eve were not supposed to eat from.
Ignorance is bliss, until you take a bite.
Crazy theory: Alastor met Husk, Niffty and even Vox when they were alive, just like Mimzy. That is probably why he is able to come out on top regarding them.
I thought Alastor died in the thirties and I’m pretty Husk was either alive or born during the seventies.
@@Chaoticgames-08 yep ur correct
@@Chaoticgames-08 Well, it does not rule the theory that he knew them in life, he could have met them when they were very young. It could be hilarious if Alastor knows them so well because they have not changed that much over an afterlife and over the years.
Alastor died in '33 while the rest died later, some were born later.
husk died in the 70s but at around 70 years old so its very possible he knew alastor in life. Especially since he's so familiar with mimzy.
Niffty was born around the time Al died so she isn't likely. It would be weird for a grown man to have a relationship with a child Unless they were related. Or she was just a random child he ran into once on the street.
Vox died in the 50s but was middle aged so its possible he has a history with Al, though he'd be young, like in his 20s if he met Al toward the end of Al's life:
But it makes sense with the TV being invented in '27 and Al dying in '33, TV killed radio as the primary broadcast entertainment platform, Al would hate TV. and a young Vox, embracing a televised future would inevitably foster an antagonistic relationship with Al.
I saw somewhere where it said that when Husker told Alastor that he's on a leash also, he meant how mimzy hypothetically has him on a leash because she always asks him to deal with the problems she lands herself in
He didn't tell Husk, he just felt threatened by Husk saying that
That's a damn good theory and it rounds out everyone involved very well.
Something that is quite intresting about hazbin hotel is that
Normal sinners have yellow eyes
Owned sinners have black eyes (Meaning someone owns their soul)
and sinners that own souls have red eyes
Noticing this detail, we do see 3 times where Alastor's eyes turn black
1. In Episode 2 at the very end of the "Stayed gone" song his eyes turn black while threatening Vox to kill him
Alastors eyes in the overall full release of the show is a mixture of black and red because he's owned by someone and he owns a lot of hells souls for power
hope this helped :)
Ive had many problems with the series thus far, but I still love this concept, animation, and character moments. Your theories are always imaginative, poetic, tragic, and very entertaining. Always love watching your vids! 🎉 Keep up the good work
I like the theory but i think roo in some way stitched a smile on to him face to make sure no one could figure out her plans
We see them both in charlies beginning both roots ying and yang
Even if this theory isn't correct I found it really interesting. Thanks for entertaining us your amazing videos and awesome voice!
4:37 Roo: Hi
Me:🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Story-wise Lilith would make sense at first glance because it would have to be a) someone strong enough to keep Alastor, who is already arguably one of the strongest Overlords still alive, in line but also b) someone who wants Charlie to succeed, again this makes Lilith the most likely candidate since we’ve seen Alastor does NOT like Lucifer … but what if Charlie’s success *isn’t* Alastor’s boss’s goal? In the Pilot he mentions he wanted to help Charlie as an “investment in on-going entertainment for myself”, in this respect what could be more entertaining than building Charlie up to her peak then tearing it all down? This therefore disqualifies Lilith (assuming she’s a genuinely loving mother) and now I’m excited imagining Alastor is in cahoots with Roo 😆😆😆
Thanks for the new video Finny-Finn-Finn and hug your furbabies all 💙🐱💙
P.S “Monarch I’d Likely Fear” … God bless you Finn 😇😇😇
This is honestly such a good theory! I hope it turns out to be right! I can't wait to see Roo!
Roo is known she is just a little bit underground
I do enjoy the desine eldritch tree woman
that land down under line broke me
I love these theories about Alastor, but I do have one problem with all of them.
@@qs-ii1872 you say that as if these characters are true to their source material lmfao. yeah i’m sure that’s why lucifer is an uwu soft boy who can do no wrong and adam is some frat guy
And made the deal with Adam (whatever that may be)
IDK, I just don’t see a version in the future where Lilith is actually good.
So, maybe Heaven/Root of Good banished Roo to that Pentagram planet
I head canon that the most powerful entity is God (but apparently he's absent in the hellverse), then second is Root of Good, third is Root of Evil, fourth probably Sera or some other heavenly being
@@TamWam_ I enjoyed reading this!
"Please, do guess! I'd love to hear the theories!" THAT HAS TO BE A REFERENCE TO FILM THEORY.
(Or maybe I'm still coping about MatPat... :( )
But that’s just a theory…
this is actually my new favorite theory
The theory relies on false information. Sinners have innate powers when they enter hell and the theory relies on it.
Not even gonna lie this would be so cool to see animated 😍
At this point that's not even a theory. That's full on fanfiction.
Lilith realistically would manifest with the same power level as Adam since they were both the first humans made from the same dust
GREAT VIDEO!
CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 2!
Finally, many questions will be answered...
I hope.
rare photo of alastor not smiling
This video was a blast to watch! Any theory involving Roo as Alastor’s master immediately piques my interest. I’ve got a theory that I’ve been cooking up for the past week now that, if true, would turn everything we know about the show on its head forever. Fair warning, most of this theory is pure speculation/head canon and parts of it are in direct contradiction of statements that Vivziepop has made in the past. But just because Viv stated something as canon years ago doesn’t mean that things can’t change in the actual show.
So, here’s my theory (this is going to sound absurd but just bear with me):
What if Roo/Eve is Charlie’s actual biological mom?
Maybe Viv has stated it before, I don’t know.)
With this knowledge about Sinners and their infertility in mind, Lilith being Charlie’s biological mother doesn’t really make sense.
(Charlie’s canon age is 200 years old.)
Lucifer and Lilith are thrilled to finally have a daughter of their own, and they resolve to distance themselves and Charlotte from Roo as much as possible.
If this theory holds water, it could explain why Alastor has such distain for Lucifer, seeing as he believes to be in kahoots with far greater entity
Alastor was a voodoo serial killer when he was human/alive, that could be why he has his power
16:44. Killer of mostly cruel hearted people sounds just like a sinner. Poetic justice sounds a bit more like heaven’s ideals 😳.
Mainly from hellborn, as sinners live forever unless killed by angelic which we can assume was a yearly thing, or if someone got hands on angelic stuff
