yes, lies do more damage than is initially apparent, there are unknowable collateral consequences in any lie. in personal, business or political life, to lie, cheat & steal can reap short term benefits or may be politically expedient, but i am reminded of that parable of Jesus comparing a man building his house on sand & the man who built his house on a rock. life will put us all to the test, &when it does, we'll find out what our foundations are built upon, ya?

When I visited San Antonio Texas, I went to visit the Alamo, and when I asked the tour guide when we would get to see the basement (I was hoping to find my stolen bicycle there, as I was told by a Gypsy fortune-teller that it would be at the Alamo... "In... the basement!") I was laughed at, ridiculed, made fun of and verbally abused... How was I supposed to know that the Alamo did not have a basement?! That is the *LAST* time I'll *EVER* pay some weird Gypsy fortune-teller lady to find out where my stolen property is being stored!
