This is the second video I watched from you (Your Kenevo SL vs Fattie was the other) and I laughed a few times between the Vegetta and your Mullet Blondie video clip. Great sense of humor and the level of detail on your videos is perfect for someone trying to learn, upgrading or improving their biking experience. Thanks again for the great videos!

I went 200mm Fox 40 and a Fox X2, and kept mine 27.5 front and rear. Pedal strikes haven't been an issue, and it eat eats up trails and spits them out! :)

Great review on the Kenevo. I just picked up a used 2021 Kenevo Comp and put a Fox 38 with 180mm travel, I like how it feels in all of the crazy rocks here in southern Utah. I am also north of 200lbs and this super burly "downhill" spec'd bike is perfect for me just about everywhere. I have found that for my needs the 500wh battery is more than enough, I cruise around in Trail mode generally and my rides are less than three hours. I appreciate your efforts, I enjoyed how you edited this video, I'll think of the F-18 the next time I'm shredding berms up at Brian Head!

It is hardly noticeable, I am kinda set on full 29er 230x60 shock 170 fork in low setting. Mullet only goes in for pure DH days. I made a little helper video here th-cam.com/video/l0OlcemCKF8/w-d-xo.html

Interesting video. Standover is 799mm....so not low, thats around 32 inches and with a 29 inch inseam my boys sit on the top tube on the s3( same standover as the s2).
Issue 2, the 180mm boxxer has an axil to crown of 572mm, if you go with a 29er zeb with 180mm travel, its 596mm. That rases the front end of the bike 24mm(25.4mm=one inch) with a 27.5 wheel/tire. The radius (axil to outside of the tire)of a 27.5 wheel with a 2.6 inch tire is around 360mm. Now the Radius of a 29er wheel with a 2.4 tire is 375mm, so a 29er fork and tire top of crown to tire contact patch is around 972mm where the stock boxxer/ 27.5 setup is 931mm.....that's jacking up the front end by about 40mm . What's that mean? a regular mullet setup will mean you are running a bike with about 62.low something degrees head angle.....You are way better running a 170mm fork mullet. That gets you back into a 63. something degrees head angle.

Good insight on smaller sizes. The low stack make it the most confident riding XL bike I ever tried. 630 in XL.
I meant the seat tube is short, allot of XL bikes I can’t even reach the ground. Check the Bullit’s 650 stack it feels like a lifted truck and I had to tippy toe to reach the ground with 34 inseam, 6’3”.
I have rode it with 160 forks and 200mm it’s not super sensitive like shorter travel bikes.
20mm longer fork on Levo is way to much.
Can you calculate full 29 Maxxis 2.5 tires, w/ Fox 38 170mm, I’m high flip chip. 230x65 shock

😂 I cut that part of the video, since I figured no one cared. I currently run 230x60 since they are always cheaper and Fox recommended that size. th-cam.com/video/2jZ_COB-f0U/w-d-xo.html. This Cane Creek is best shock I ever used. Poppy playful and plush. X2 was a-little slow moving.
      I used a 230x65 with issues.

I’m 6’2’’. Stand over crazy low, so pick what ever style of riding you want. I typically go for large or s4, but with this is the best XL bike ever made. My s5 is fastest riding bike I have ever been on. S4 would be smaller more maneuverable

@OtterSports I'm 6'5", a lean 220, very experienced rider. I currently ride a 22 stumpjumper evo s6. I'm considering going to either a base levo. And putting my nice parts on it... or kenevo comp. S5 or also considering kenevo Sl comp. I live in North carolina. I ride mostly jumpy park trails and no rides over 3 hrs typically. Opinions on which would be best?

    • @OtterMTBtech
      @OtterMTBtech  ปีที่แล้ว

@@bostondye3736 Rode and made vids of all bikes mentioned. Standard Kenevo is best XL bike ever built or I have rode. Very easy for brands to get size large bikes dialed. XL bikes are always weirdly comprised. Low center of gravity 525 reach your back will thank you later. There also like $5700 instead of $9,000. 1300mm wheel base can be handful, but I have another video I’m working on, Levo vs Kenevo. Kenevo was Corning better even with longer wheel base because it’s center of gravity is so low.
Levo s5 wasn’t super impressed with the bike tell I bolted 29er in rear still feels weird to have a massive tank of a bike (s5) with 150mm travel.
Kenevo SL s5 felt tall, long seat and stupidly slack 68 degree noisy underpowered motor, but perfect suspension tune.

@@OtterMTBtech Good review. I have a couple epic rides on my new K Expert and am loving it. Appreciate your vid and input on ride characteristics with wheel changes. I was looking at ways to minimize pedal strikes when riding moto trials with ruts and trail debris. I like the idea of bumping the shock up to 200 but I see the link you listed show it is currently unavailable. Ideas??
