man it took me about 5-10 mins. after here character showed up to figure out that it was her. but as soon as she started walking that Anna Torv walk, the same way she walked as Olivia Dunham in Fringe. I was like. I gotta look this up on IMDb. And lo and behold. Yup. Love it!
I was glad when I heard Anna Torv was cast as Tess. I loved her in Fringe and I immediately knew she would be a perfect fit for the character. Looking forward to her interpretation but not so much to her final scene

I just binge two episodes of TLOU and I jumped off my chair when I saw Agent Dunham! OMG!!! I am a HUGE FAN of Fringe and I didn't know that she was playing Tess. MAN! She nailed it like she was born to play this character. Even with that beaten face she had, I can still recognize ANNA! They mess up half of her face but that icy stare of Agent Dunham, you can never forget.
I couldn't have said that whole dam statement you just typed ANY BETTER!! Fringe is one of the best (if not the best) scifi shows to have ever existed! And Agent Dumham was the main reason why. I absolutely, unaquivickly, and completely fell in love with her!!

I don't know, I just can't watch her playing an Agent other than Olivia Dunham. It felt like Sacrilege! But Tess is such a dichotomy from Olivia. What a blessing! Ms. Torv is a very versatile actress. It's a bitter sweet feeling to have her as Tess. Her performance was magnificent, unfortunately, it was short live.
Yeah when she was pissed or ready to kick ass lol than yeah Olivia had that icy stare somewhat witch to me wasn't often. Overall I feel Olivia was a humble sweet strong and at times kick ass great overall heroine and she wasn't afraid to show her vulnerability especially to falling in love with her soulmate Peter and how close she got with Walter almost a father figure and with Astrid almost sister like even though she was a little shy and a little introverted

I don't think media is taking particular care about spoilers for LoU Pt 1, it was so long ago. I think they really should be more careful, but I get that its been a good while since the original release. They can't be quite the same for Pt 2 though, that'd be absurd.

I remember watching Mindhunter and thinking "She looks like Cate Blanchet" and then found out she's also Aussie. Does Australia have a Cate Blanchet factory or something?
You can really tell that she, along with Gabriel Luna and Nico Parker really did their homework in terms of studying the original performances from the games. They captured the soul and essence of Tommy, Tess, and Sarah very well. 👍🏻
I’ve not seen Anna Tory give a bad performance yet. If I see she’s in something then I’ll watch it. If you enjoy her acting, go seek out her Aussie stuff, too. Always good.
So The Last of Us premiered last week. It was a kick finding out Anna Torv was in it. And now I find out, spoiler alert for the second question of the interview, that apparently she's not in it for very long. Unless this fact has been OKed by the producers to be revealed at press junkets, the interviewer here made a big mistake spoiling the season and her character for those of us not familar with the game.
At first I didn't like Anna's portrayal of Tess, but she grew on me once I let my game bias go. In her later scenes, she definitely showed a different Tess that threw me off and I was in awe. But the original Tess will never be forgotten... Annie Wersching, may you rest in peace.

I am a huge fan of fringe too and her character Olivia to me she is one of the all time great heroines I have ever seen in a tv show or movie she's humble sweet strong but also fragile at times all in one and Anna torv did a magnificent job bringing all those things out of the character and even more!
She had amazing performances in Fringe and Mindhunter, Her presence in the serie gives it more value.
You should watch The Newsreader, she is main character there along with Sam Reid, so great!
