Thank you for the video. I've ordered mine few weeks ago still waiting for it to arrive. But it's great to see the colors swatched prior to that.
Lightfastness is basically the ability to keep the color as it was without any fading when exposed to light. So for all artworks/ coloring which will be permanently exposed to light because you hang it up on your wall or something similar lightfastness is important and I would go for an good (which means minimum 50 years under museum conditions without and fading) or a very good (minimum 100 years without any fading under museum conditions) which will be a 4 or 5 stars in this scale. Everything underneath will fade over time from minimal up to completely so that you only have a white piece of paper left (which for example happens with alcohol markers because they're dye and not pigment based and dyes are not lightfast) hope that helps, of there are any questions with watercolors or pigments don't hesitate to ask 😊
The turquoise is a phtalo turquoise (PB16) and not very much comparable with cobalt turquoises. Cobalt pigments granulate a lot, something Phtalos don't. Also the color shade is very different as well. Cobalts also are slightly toxic. The main problem with very expensive pigments like cobalts is, that often times there use cheap replacements which not always look like the original and often brands don't lable it with and additional hue which means it's not the original but a lookalike. When people don't know anything about pigment numbers of course you think you have the original, which can cause some problems like maybe the lookalike is not as lightfast as the original, the color shade is different, different painting properties etc. Doesn't mean cheaper alternatives are bad it's just problematic that not all brands are open with that one and you really need to always check yourself. So sorry for rambling so much, I just hope that something is helpful for you because watercolors and pigments are my passion for a very long time. Since I've got my first watercolor set around 29 years ago I'm in love with the medium.
