City of San Antonio: Heil Python Garbage Trucks Collecting Heavy Recycling And Organics

Here we have two Heil Pythons collecting on my route. So I’m sure you guys can recall the Texas winter storms that happened back in February. The city was so behind on trash pickup that they ended up canceling recycling and organics pickup that week. This video was taken the week after the storms so the drivers had to collect two weeks worth of recycling and organics. Since the routes were a bit heavier I thought it would make for a neat video. The first truck is my recycle driver Art in his regular ACX Python. The second truck is a 520 Python with my organic driver Rami behind the wheel. He was in this truck for a few weeks when his ZR was in the shop. Enjoy!

Outstanding! Nice collection of the usual San Antonio trucks from your yard. Looking at how many overfilled recycling carts there were, I’m sure some people had to sneak trash into them after waiting so long lol.

Nice video! These guys were both moving pretty fast, and coupled with the full carts it made for a fun video! It’s hard to choose a favorite because I like the sound and the yellow body of the ACX, but the 520 with the all white body and red logos looks great too. Excellent video once again!
