Finally, someone knows that it wasn’t Gregory, and it was the mimic because people don’t stop to think. How was Gregory able to cut the elevator cable if he wasn’t in the Pizzaplex?
Funny detail: "Gregory" says "To save me". Why would Gregory say "to save me" if he wasn't even in the Pizzaplex? This makes the theory more clear since the one that Cassie actually saves is The Mimic.
If you look closely at the Mimic's hands, one has more regular finger tips while the other has sharp claws, and the hand that broke off was the more round finger tips which means, depending on if the Mimic can climb with one hand which is possible (not easy ofcourse but possible) it could have somehow cut the cable that was lifting the elevator.
A Theory; After Gregory says, It's not your fault, I know you did it for me, to save me... but we can't risk her following us, I'm sorry. Before Gregory said; It wasn't your fault, we heard a noise. Mimic interrupted the Call with Cassie and Gregory. People say that Gregory knocked down the elevator to save Cassie from the mimic, but.... How did he deactivate the elevator when he wasn't at the Pizzaplex this whole time?
If Gregory and Cassie were brothers, Gregory would never do this to Cassie, Knock down the elevator to save Cassie, We can say that Gregory didn't knock down the Elevator and Yes mimic, Supposedly there would be a Ruin 2, Security Breach 2 or Stell wool Games would put other chapters within the RUIN DLC.
Wait i think the "gregory" voice was the mimic the whole game- because why would gregory try and disable the glitch rabbit for cassie when HE and vanessa was the one who made it? And for the purpose of NOT freeing the mimic. Only the MIMIC would want to disable it because disabaling it wod help it get free! obviously since cassie let it go, it would make sense for gregory to betray her, but last time i checked, gregory escaped the pizzaplex alr. Why would he lead his bestfriend back to there to save him? He was ready gone. Plus gregory probably has acess to intercom through VANESSA. She was a security guard and has acess to them remember? But honestly, it probably wasnt gregory using those itercoms. Like i implied, it may have been the mimic. This is an opinion, i just dont think some 14 yr old would do that to their bestfriend. Gregory was just trying to escape so why would he even be back there. And for people saying vanny kidnapped him, i dont think so. Vanessa and gregory and freddy did escape together. Vanessa is vanny so if she left with gregory why would she kidnap him and bring him back. There is no ending where she kidnapped him. Assuming the bad ending where she showed up to his cardboard box outside, she killed him. But there is no kidnap ending so it wouldnt make sense to put him back there when you could just kill him off. I could be wrong, but i really do think thats NOT gregory. I don’t think Cassie talked to Gregory at all in this scene. “Down here” and “we cant be followed” imply Gregory is also down there with Cassie however we know for a fact he’s not. Also Im like 98% sure Gregory doesn’t even know all this about the mimic so how would he be able to tell Cassie who exactly imprisoned it?
I knew it was mimic mimicking Gregory's voice again why would Gregory betrayed Cassie that was the mimic but how Gregory can access the speaker but he doesn't have machine or something that was actually the mimic
I really believe that Gregory wasn't the one who did this to Cassie, firstly there's no possibility and the game ended with a very big mystery that ended up blaming Gregory as a traitor, but there's no way of knowing who really It was him and this end of the dlc ended without explanation he killed Cassie just because "we can't risk being followed?" This is very strange first, he is a child and not a psychopath, why would he kill Cassie, in fact we don't know the origin of these two children, but anyway, how could he activate the elevator if he wasn't in the pizzaplex? Gregory was never there that day so how could he have made that elevator fall? I don't know and it also seems that the game takes place in 2020 or 2021, where we have a lot of technology to be used, the mimic can make the elevator fall, too. it could have simply been someone who already knew about the existence of Cassie's Gregory and could have been using Gregory's image to trick Cassie, someone who wanted to free Mimic and Mimic himself wasn't going to do it alone, someone used Gregory's image to be able to attract Cassie for there because this dlc is where Freddy doesn't have his head and as we know there is an ending where we know that Gregory left the pizzaplex with Freddy's head so why would he go back there and activate the elevator to Cassie falls, this is like it 2017, where Bill was always talking to Georgie and it was never really him, but a monster behind the mask, or it could also be him but he could be being forced to do this threatening his lives and Cassie and he could be forced to do this without him wanting to make the person or monster that activated the elevator sure that it wasn't him because really when Gregory stopped talking it really was another person or monster that cut the connection, it wasn't the Gregory. but we will only really find out the truth if the game has a new fnaf security breach dlc.
Cassie just got unconscious and how would gregory know that cassie shut off the security system? Edit: how would gregory also know that cassie went to the pizzaplex
I am inclined to believe that when it comes to meeting decent people, my luck is shit. Because every time I come across something relating to “Did gregory really betray Cassie?” It somehow becomes a fucking minefield. But I really need to let this out of my chest, otherwise, I’ll blow a gasket. Fnaf always had a “not everything is as it seems” energy since the earlier games, which instructs you to not take everything at face value and be more skeptical about with what’s shown. But people are so insistent on believing that Gremlin Gregory was Judas reincarnated with just a few reasons, reasons that I find silly, and I’d like to go over some of the main ones. The novels: the dlc itself borrowed a few elements from tales from the pizzaplex, specifically the mimic, even going as far as to make references from GGY that could apparently be found throughout the game. In the novels, it was showcased that Gregory in that series was a hacker capable of tampering with animatronics like he’s on night 7, and was implied to be responsible for some of the disappearances in that story. And this reason, I hate this for two specific reasons, mainly in terms of canonicity and how timelines in franchises are handled. One of the biggest mistakes a franchise could do is branching out their connected timeline to other medias, such as requiring to watch a TV series in order to understand what’s going on in a movie. While other videogame franchises like Devil May Cry have actually done the same, their novels in particular can stand on their own without having to be a major significance to the games. That paragraph above genuinely had no correlation to the main point whatsoever, I just wanted to rant about how much I loathe this timeline structuring in particular. Going back on track, the novels argument actually debunks Gregory being evil because of the implications there that he was under glitchtrap’s control. Not only that, the main game’s dialogue actually debunks this before you’re given a chance to leave the pizzaplex or stay: “Freddy, if I leave now, nothing will change, will it? There will be more disappearances…” While I do blame the amount of cut content steelwool did, people just forget that Gregory, despite being a gremlin, has his little moments of being altruistic. This little tidbit of information actually does help us know why Gregory was in the pizzaplex to begin with. As for canonicity, people used the borrowed elements to justify why the novels are canon. But borrowed elements are what they are: borrowed elements, because the existence of remnant and william afton’s name were also borrowed from older novels, but those weren’t canon to begin with, were they? I don’t trust the TFTPP’s canonicity, mainly thanks to “Under Construction” where the pizzaplex was depicted vastly different compared to the game. Game Files: this goes back to my “Not everything is as it seems” explanation, where people should not take anything at face value and be skeptical with what’s shown. In an era where anyone could access game files in order to snoop for unused content laying around, I wouldn’t be surprised if Steelwool purposely named that particular file in order for people to keep guessing and put that strange sound in during Gregory’s elevator dialogue to throw people off. I know there are other reasons people used to justifying “Gregory Bad” but some of them are so mind-numbingly dumb that I forgot those who were there since fnaf 1 are probably grown up, and have jobs, leaving mostly children now in this fandom
It could be the devs trying to throw us off, so the next part to the DLC (if there is one) isn't spoiled. Instead making us think that its Gregory by using his code for the final line instead of the "Grimic" code.
Not really Gregory killing Cassie or not is a big plot twist and plot line, why would Steel Wool just reveal that in the games files for us to see especially since Steel Wool knows that fans are going to check the game files. A while back the Princess sprite file name was named "Cassidy" but after fans saw the file, Steelwool changed it to just "Princess". This seems like Steel Wool didn't want fans to see the file name and didn't expect fans to check the the files to figure out the lore. So now with Ruin, Steel Wool have learnt their lesson and now know that the fans are going to check files to figure out the lore, so for a imported plot line and plot twist they mislead the fans by naming the final voice line to "Gregory" instead of "Grimic". Since Steel Wool don't want us to figure it out so easily.

@@TheAbsoluteCYNical He could also just go the other way, where Cassie came from -- I'm sure the mimic is strong enough to possibly take out the ruined animatronics
the high pitch noise happens very frequently when talking into megaphones, "Gregory would not be the type of person do this" Bruh he literally is. He killed vanessa, destroyed Freddy's friends then lied about it, broke into the Pizzaplex and has been stealing and living there. And then he's also very apologetic and explains why he did it. And the little subtitle overlap thing is so dumb people keep bringing it up knowing that it isn't the mimic because it's saying the same thing as Gregory; it's an error. This theory makes no sense people keep assuming the mimic thought this, or the mimic wanted this or realized this, actually thinking the mimic is a person which it's not.
