in my experience( everyone is different) buffing fresh paint like that will dull out and need to be rebuffed in about a month, its best to wait a few weeks and then wetsand and buff, and extremely important not to coat or wax paint even after being baked in a booth for 3-6 months in order for the solvents to escape the the paint completely. the paint will get hazey and ive ben told it can cause solvent popping. every shop has different procedures tho
The XRS models are way better, they came with the 2ZZ-GE, a way faster high Revving high performance engine, and they only came with a 6 Speed Manual Transmission. The S models are shit, and slow.
@@abedawg94 They're not the same price the 8th Generation Corollas XRS models are 6 to 7 Grand. An S model with a 1ZZ is $4,000 I suggest you do your research before commenting.
Great job!! I really like the outcome. I hope I can be like you someday. I painted my car before and it came out badly. Now, i kind of want to redo it again since I have all the proper equipment I needed. However, I am still confused which sand paper grit should I start with. I am shooting for a better result not a professional result. My goal is to correct the paint I did before.
Bradley Pedrozo I appreciate that man thank you so much! And man get out there and redo it. The best way to learn is by just tuning your skills every time. Change it up. If you go one way and it works keep leaning that direction. Or if you try something and it's worse do that thing less. You got this brother
BodeVision thanks for the advice.i have a few paint projects that ima try and get done within a few weeks .hopefully it comes out clean like this corolla.2 questions is primer absolutely necessary,if so what is as good brand to use?
Jose Hernandez I use U-pol, it's a lower cost filler primer. It is not necessary unless you're spraying over metal or bondo. Bondo must always be covered with a primer or you'll see it in the base coat. If you're spraying new parts like a bumper you can just do base right on top but I would recommend using an adhesion promoter. So in other word if your not spraying over any metal or bondo you can just go right to base but you might have to do more coats for full coverage. Painting is a lot about preference. Going with primer first is and extra step but I always do it to make sure the job is consistent and that's how I have the best results Hope that helps
Jose Rodriguez i appreciate that so much man, thank you. Also, I'm content with the way my channels growing. My first video was uploaded at the beginning of this year and for me to have already hit 1,000 I couldn't be more excited. I know it will get there eventually!
Awesome job Bode! After you wet sand and buff does that reduce the amount of clear coat left on the vehicle? Like will it always look dull after a wash and you’ll have to wax it?
Wet sanding buffing doesn't stands for quality, the clear itself is more durable before u cut and buff it my thought,I do used to wet sand, buff for visual perfection
Yeah man its a 64, close guess! Ive been working on that as a shop car/truck for a couple of years. I got so deep into the project that ive really slowed down progress in the last year. It has all new suspention, mustang two front end, front and rear discs, a 302 from a fox body mustang. Ill get it going eventually lol
BodeVision its going to look good afterwards i have a 1963 ford falcon sedan all stock on the outside it has also a 302 and i have my lowered but i stopped working on it since im selling it

It’s like me saying “oh bro just get the ISF ITS WAAY faster brah
@@static_Tricolor_camry it’s obviously faster but but I don’t think he got the Corolla bc he thinks it’s fast. Plus the 1.8 isn’t shit it’s just slow.
