    💋 I know several people who are struggling with energy while on glp-1s. I want to say before I comment that I am not a rep or salesperson for this product BUT I have been on it for 8 years! Thrive capsules! Vitamin A, D,B1,B2,B6,B12, folate, chromium, selenium and a host of other good things…..peeps I cannot preach enough about the energy and mental clarity! My teens take it as well as my husband! We sleep better and the focus this product provides is amazing! I don’t have a link as I don’t sell this product I just obtain it from the website but I HIGHLY recommend it! Try the capsules for a week and I promise you’ll love it! It’s two capsules first thing in the am and that is it. I am farm and ranch mom of four. We live 30 miles from town and I run my own business. This product has been my go-to for years and it’s healthy nutrition. No more dragging feet thru the day or mood swings. I want everyone struggling with sleep, energy and mood problems to get help! It’s is reaaaaaallllll! Seize the day ❤

    Thanks Brittany! Just found you. I have been on Wegovy 2.4mg titrated up from 1mg over a year and have lost 90 pounds. I have been on a plateau now for about 4 months and am considering switching to Zepbound. I have had fears about regaining the weight and notice that while appetite suppression is still present, I find myself eating more and craving carbs and sugar. Given the shortages, I probably won't start it until 2025. Keep up the good work.

    Hey lady!! You just helped me reach my ah-ha moment. I know for a fact that I haven't been eating enough this week because it's been a stressful couple of weeks at work... I definitely need to get back to making sure I meal prep and eat my meals... And getting my water in SMH... Luckily, I don't fear going down in dosage but so far, as a diabetic, that part hasn't really been addressed yet with my doctor. I'm about 10 lbs away from my goal weight so that conversation will most likely happen at my next appointment. Thank you for always being honest and sharing the good and the ugly... Take care!

    Ugh sorry the TH-cam stuff is SO annoying. Yes, seriously same for me with mood and fatigue the past couple weeks. My husband was out of town and we had crazy amounts of stress and business stuff plus just taking care of everything solo and I the other day didn’t eat until almost 4 PM and I wasn’t even supplementing with my protein shakes like I was before I ran out and then didn’t order right away, I’ve been feeling terrible. Also I do think the weather didn’t help as others commented too just been cold and rainy lately. Today I put protein in my coffee and making sure I get at least two meals.

    😊 I've been wondering about the addiction side of glp1 for a few reasons. First my partner's doctor refuses to write any GLP1 Rx because he said he's had death threats and violent people in his office demanding scripts like junkies. Then, when I had to go 2 weeks without my Zepbound before switching to compound, the always present heaviness in my stomach finally went away and I honestly felt like I'd lost my best friend. I realized the sensation of tirzepitide becomes a companion in a way and when it was gone, I would've lost my mind if I hadn't already signed up with Orderly and knew it was in the mail. It definitely creates a mental addiction and has me worried about my end game when it's time to go off the meds.

      I don’t think we are meant to go off of them, but I do think we are meant to lower to an appropriate maintenance dose. Doctors need to be more mindful of this

    • @saniaz680
      @saniaz680 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BrittanyRoseHomemakingit’s sad that the doctors aren’t as mindful and kind about this. They don’t know how hard the struggle was before these injections but also using them , we are in a tight spot because without these we will go back
      To uncontrolled eating or at least I will. Not speaking for everyone but I know many have this problem and that will be back
      To old days of depression and being overweight not having at least this part of your life handled like it is now. It makes a lot of difference when you’re losing weight even if you uave tons of other life issues. At least we are still happy inside that we finally are healthier look and feel better. I can’t imagine going back because I could have been on this few years ago when I didn’t know what it was but my doctor tried to put me on it wasn’t that popular few years back I guess. Wish I took it earlier. Being overweight is a big trigger for me that starts my depression along with my other hard life. Wish the doctors were more sympathetic they do know about our struggles but too busy to care that much.

    @stacym6549 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi I posted this a few weeks ago to another channel and feel it’s something that needs to be shared. Thank you for this video and your honesty. This journey has been a roll coaster for me. I’ve now stopped losing any weight and at this time I am unable to increase my dosage back up. Please continue reading for a better explanation as to why.
    I have been on just about all of the injections before finally tolerating Mounjaro. I started this journey in about October 2022 and Mounjaro I believe in June 2023. I’ve lost 87 unnoticeable lbs since 2022. I have had all the normal side effects. Moving forward to January 2024 I increased my dose to 10 mg and started feeling the blues. Now 3 weeks ago I have increased to 12.5 mg and everything changed. I have been so sick on this dosage but I started feeling impulse suicidal ideation and even started coming up with my impulsive suicide plans. Now I will be honest and say I do have a history of mental health illness but it took me a terrifying week and a half to stop and realize no this IS NOT that!! I know this is absolutely related to the dose increase. I mean I would be driving and then suddenly planning to ram my car into a tree or something. They were sudden and very real thoughts of dying. I even tried to plan to surrender my doggies so I could use my car exhaust but not harm my dogs inside. Completely out of nowhere and irrational and beyond scary. So what did I do? I made a doctors appointment and crawled in bed for 5 days and would not allow myself to leave my room or my house until my appointment. I finally saw my doctor and explained these intrusive horrible and random thoughts I was having and that I 100% believe it is related to the medication. He said it’s definitely possible. He did look at my history with mental health and I insisted this is not part of my other issues past or present. I know my mental health well. I know what I’ve dealt with in the past and I know what triggers certain things and what my lowest feels like and this is not that at all!! I told him I wanted the medication but lower the dose and to also be treated for the depression side of it and I am going to be following up quite often with him. I am 42 years old. I have a sixteen year old that still lives with me and my 23 year-old but luckily they are staying with a family member and not having to see or know about any of this. I do plan on writing about this on the FDA website because I fear for those that may not recognize what they are feeling could be Mounjaro related and they take there own lives and or hurt or injure others in the process. I feel so much better with my doctor being aware and having a plan of action. I’m so glad he did not dismiss my thoughts on the cause. I am on Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes and plan to continue but with better self awareness and support. No amount of weight loss or medical reasons are worth risking your life so please be aware of this and ask for help and talk to someone even if you are unsure if it’s even related to the medication. The intensity of the thoughts that would hit me was beyond what words can fully express. Best of luck to everyone and remember to love yourself and your life is worth living. I know mine is ❤

    😊Hi Brittany and community, a few things: 1. Yes. It’s important to drink your water and eat at meals. 2. I have heard of no medical evidence that GLP1 agonists are addictive. Let’s please not spread this unfounded FUD around. Can you be scared of losing the progress you made on your GLP1 agonists? Sure. But in no way is that an addiction. 3. I have found it helpful to take vitamins such as Vitamin D3, C, B12, Folate, B complex and Magnesium. With regard to Magnesium I take Magnesium L-Threonate and Magnesium Glycinate primarily. You are not eating the volume you used to eat nor much carbs and other things. So it can be possible to become vitamin deficient. Talk your doctors about this. But this is what I do. Also, get some exercise in, it revs up your metabolism and gives you a sense of accomplishment when you see that you can do more or walk farther than ever before. Plus it’s good to get out of the house and get some sunshine. Also share your progress with supportive friends. They give you encouragement. I have a game going with mine. Can I lose more pounds than the Chicago White Sox can lose games. The Sox stink this year, so it’s going to be a challenge. So far, the score is Sox 32 - Me 31.9. The Sox are playing the Yankees today. So I am going to have some catching up to do! I hope that all helps.

      I just mean that it’s an interesting topic. In my opinion, anything can be addictive.

  • @cloakster
    @cloakster 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    10:54 This isn’t that surprising, and I don’t know that it’s helpful for anyone to characterize it as ‘addiction’ (aka, don’t give the media any bad ideas 😯).
    If you feel like you’ve been a ‘slave to your hunger’ all your life, and you then FINALLY come across something that keeps the food-noise at bay - again, for the first time in your LIFE - then OF COURSE you’re going to be a bit terrified of ever going off of it, or even going down in dose for maintenance.
    And this of course feeds into the current huge meds shortages, and how they are even EXTRA stressful for the many folks out there in this boat, and/or who feel that they have disordered eating. 😢
    It makes all the sense in the world, really. ☑️
    But, is it ‘addiction’, or is it a pretty logical/understandable response to what these (MANY) folks have been going through all of their lives? 🤔

    • @BrittanyRoseHomemaking
      @BrittanyRoseHomemaking  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is a great point- however even if it were to be considered a “good” addiction, it can still be an addiction. I think the worry is that people will be so terrified of gaining weight back that they go the opposite way and end up harming themselves by not providing their body essential nutrients.
      I don’t think it’s necessarily helpful to ignore a potential problem either, you know?

    • @cloakster
      @cloakster 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @Brittany I’m not certain it’s an addiction at all, ‘good’ or otherwise.
      Say you have hypertension, and you’re prescribed meds to treat it. You may have to take those meds for life.
      Are you then ‘addicted’ to those meds? Or is that even a helpful way at all to frame it? Just sayin’. 🤷‍♂️
      One can address the (serious) problem of lifelong disordered eating, without conflating it with addiction, and all the loaded implications that come with… which may just confuse and further ‘emotionalize’ what is already a pretty emotional issue.

    • @BrittanyRoseHomemaking
      @BrittanyRoseHomemaking  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree. Very insightful way to put it and realize that “addiction” probably wasn’t the best choice of words

    • @cloakster
      @cloakster 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No worries. And you weren’t really the main one framing your friend’s problem that way - as you said, someone was *telling* your friend she was ‘addicted.’
      Which isn’t helpful, IMO, and is sort of a mis-diagnosis of the likely real issue(s)… an eating disorder, body dysmorphia, etc. etc. Plus lots of fear. 🙁
      Which, if that’s the case, is plenty to deal with all on its own.
      Btw, do dig your channel, and I think your takes are great 99 percent of the time. Keep on keepin’ on. 🌟

    I think a lot of people struggle with these sorts of addictions. Whether it be, counting calories to the point that you don't let yourself have any enjoyment or cheat meals per say. If you've worked so hard at something and even with these drugs, it's hard work, you don't want to take the steps back and have to do it all over again. It's human nature not to want to take steps back and feel like you have to start all over again. That's so daunting, especially once you know what it takes.
