How in the heck could any other vet determine what caused the injuries to a dog they didn’t even examine? The defendant didn’t make any since with all of the bizarre excuses she was spewing out.
Right? "The dog could have rolled in a ditch" 🙄 how is that going to puncture it's stomach and cause 18 stitches? Then she goes from saying the dog is always in her yard, to saying maybe once or twice a week it is there.
I don't think this defendant thinks she is lying. The defendant truly believes that she is not responsible because she not capable of connecting the dots between her allowing the dog to stay on her property, her not maintaining the fence and the resulting attack.
The defendant was angry at the wrong party. She should have been angry at the owner's dog and herself. Like children, I would not have the other dog there unless I was home or another adult. Also, how could her vet speculate what happened to the plaintiff's dog without examining the dog?
Doug had to lasso the defendant who under determined to get out of there ASAP😂 He gave the plaintiff a nice pet on her arm as she was leaving to go sign some papers.
It's not my dog, it's not always over here, it's only here sometimes!!! No matter what, if the dig was able to get out of your yard and it attacks another dog, a person, whatever, you're responsible. People concoct the craziest stories on why they're not responsible for what their dog does.
Just because the Vet report did not include the word "bite" or "puncture" doesn't mean Peanut wasn't in the other dogs mouth. The report does state "tissue damage" --because the attack caused tears or rips, that needed 18 STITCHES. Peanut was shaken vigorously, how can she say that the damage wasn't caused by Mabel? The Defendant is one of the dumbest I've seen on this show.
It’s idiotic and desperate to imply that the plaintiff injured her own dog and hatched a plan to put the blame on her and the unleashed escaped dog. If it doesn’t make sense it’s not the truth.
The moment the defendant walked in I knew she was guilty, Often times when people blink like that they are repressing something. It can be past trauma, but usually it is a behavior found in those that lie.
I don’t know how she doesn’t understand if you’ve given permission for the dog to be in your yard, you are taking responsibility for keeping them contained.
@rowan64official She worked at her husband's office as a receptionist. She wasn't very friendly, though. 😕🤷♀️ I'm really surprised that she didn't get huffy during the case. I expected her to, because of her demeanor when she was working. 🤨
She doesn't immediately see that fallen kennel fencing is a climbing ramp to clear the upright fence? Geez. Those crossed arms right off told me all I need to know about the defendant.
Met many women over the yrs like the defendent and they never want to admit they are wrong nor be accountable for their actions.if they give u an apology it ends with "you made me act that way".80% of the time(or more) they are alone, miserable, family wants 0 contact which turns them into mean nasty senior ladies
Peanut is ADORABLE!!!! The defendant is a POS!!! She said Maybell stays in her yard because it is fenced in, then changes her story. Very happy for the plaintiff.
It's weird she can get awarded $1900 for dog repairs when that's a fraction of the value of the dog. Let's say my car is worth $3,000 but it's a classic and as important to me as a pet. If someone damages it to the tune of $5,000, I can only get $3K 😅
The defendant is just trying to make up a ton of lies and excuses. someone elses vet would not talk to you about their patient, much less say "this wasn't caused by a dog bite" Nothing she says makes sense!
Your vet didn't see or treat peanut, so get off your high horse lady. Babysitting someone else's dog makes you responsible while the dogs in your care.
Please don’t take small dogs for a walk, especially near big dogs. Also, don’t scream!! It makes the attack worse. Definitely NOT the plantiffs fault that her dog was attacked; but I hope she’s gained some knowledge.
All I could see was the defendents finger twitching, body language says everything...either anger or anxiety from trying to lie her way thru and failing.
My neighbor's dogs are in my yard daily. I guess I better quit being a nice neighbor. I don't want to get sued for their dog. US law çauses another reason to say stay off my property and sorry I can't afford to be neighborly
This defendant was so frustrating. It does suck thst she was liable for being accessible to the attacking dog, but, if you're going to be doggy daycare fix the fence at least for the safety of all the dogs
Is the defendant actually a 8-year old in a fat suit? What a childish way of thinking on her part. Probably has never taken responsibility for anything in her life. My god I feel bad for whoever has to put up with her
Peanut is a cute name. My sister got me kitten called Peanut he was a fluufy brown one. But one day she was carrying luggage down the steps and he ran under her feet and she accidentally stepped on his neck and he died. He was still only a little kitten💔💔💔
Awww, poor baby. 😢 Puppies and kittens always seem to get underfoot, and adult cats appear to do it on purpose at times. I expected to see a brown Chihuahua after hearing the name.
rather than take a 360 degree walk to mail box the around corner..iffn you DO NOT like the barking dogs.. go to mail box..and retrace your stepsback..SIMPLE why try to encourage dog barking with a chichi petti?
But the defendant assumed the responsibility because she stated that she kept the neighbor’s dog in her yard on a regular basis. The defendant didn’t think the dog could get out of her yard. But she knew the dog was an escape artist. If the defendant had no such on-going involvement with the dog and the dog had gotten into her yard on its own and then escaped her yard and attacked she wouldn’t need liable.
Everyone already knows that each one of these dog cases always comes down to the negligent owners! Poor owners! If I had my way no animal/insect would be mistreated or harmed and each one would have a happy and sound home!
I hate those folks in Ohio! Despicable! I can't say on here what I would do to them if I were able without getting flagged. Nobody would hear from them ever again. Animals are better than people!
Quit taking little defenseless dogs and walking them where you know big dogs are they have shitty fences... you can see her fence and property you said you go by there everyday... take responsibility for your own actions.... you put you dog in harms way.. period
The defendant is such a vile piece of work
Absolutely puke envoking.
Pretty sure this isn't the first (or probably the 100th) time the defendant hasn't taken responsibility for something that is her fault.
Defendant and her witness lady look like the final bosses in "Karen: The Video Game"
😂😂😂
A+ comment 😂👏
Oh my goodness!! That’s amazing!🤣🤣🤣
That hair...that scarf...those poses...
Pure Karen energy right there.
💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣
That makes me laugh 😂 so hard 😅😅😂 so funny 😊😂
Judge Judy would tell the defendant to “uncross your arms” 😂😂
I was thinking that 😂
And add “I’m the only one with the attitude” 😂
Judge Judy: I already have the job 😂
Judy doesn't accept hearsay either.
😂😂

The defendant is having a hard time lying 🤥!!!😂😂😂
However lying down, no problem whatsoever.😂😂🤮
Priceless comments 😊😂😂
The defendant seems like she argues with cashiers and waitstaff over problems she creates.
In my state, if you feed and shelter a domestic animal, then you have the legal status of owner of that animal.
That makes sense. If you’re taking care of the animal, you’re responsible for their health, well-being and behavior.
Same in my state
The defendant is something else...🤦🤦🤦
Irresponsible homeowners 🤬 She had fence being held up with rocks 😳😱🙄
I don't think this defendant thinks she is lying. The defendant truly believes that she is not responsible because she not capable of connecting the dots between her allowing the dog to stay on her property, her not maintaining the fence and the resulting attack.
It's sad, but I feel like so many people have this attitude when it comes to their dogs.
If she really believes that it's not her fault, then she can sue the actual owner of the dog. Otherwise, it's on her, her yard, her responsibility.
Some people are so unreasonable in their thought process it’s totally ridiculous. Take accountability!
The defenses look like the female Peter Griffin
😂😂
😂😅
😂😂😂
That haircut told me everything I needed to know lol
Not relevant
😂
When did her vet see this dog again??? Oh right!!! THEY DIDN'T!!!
Is it normal to keep your dog in somebody else's yard??
Oooh, when the def crossed her arms, then it got serious!
😂😂
Defendant is so deplorable its almost laughable.
Defendant started to PANIC when plaintiff said she had a picture of the fence before and after it was repaired
The defendant's posture and facial expressions told me she's never taken responsibility in her life.
The defendant was angry at the wrong party. She should have been angry at the owner's dog and herself. Like children, I would not have the other dog there unless I was home or another adult.
Also, how could her vet speculate what happened to the plaintiff's dog without examining the dog?
The body language of the defendant is laughable, as well as her excuse. Glad Peanut is ok.
The witness was like “I don’t know why this lady dragged me here”
Defendant looks and acts like a stereotypical Karen
Doug had to lasso the defendant who under determined to get out of there ASAP😂 He gave the plaintiff a nice pet on her arm as she was leaving to go sign some papers.
The defendant just need to STOP!! Lady you can’t be serious!
Serial liar would be a description of the defendant. IMO
Future cases will have defendants claiming immigrants bit the dog not their own dog. Smh
😂 yes 😂
Just saw a cop cam of a lady literally doing this 🤷🏽♀️
😭😭🫣
😅😅
9:40 First she claims the vet told her how the injuries occurred , then she said the dog officer told her that’s how it happened.
Oooh at least it's not 'pooping out on a puppy ' or 'hurt her, he hardlly knew her!'
It's not my dog, it's not always over here, it's only here sometimes!!! No matter what, if the dig was able to get out of your yard and it attacks another dog, a person, whatever, you're responsible. People concoct the craziest stories on why they're not responsible for what their dog does.
The defendant has no sympathy for the plaintiff pay the lady !!!!
She ain't moved that fast in forever
So take it up with your neighbor 😂😂
Right
The defendant came across as almost belligerent, and somewhat disrespectful. In addition to being irresponsible.
Open and shut!!
The defendant just seems like such an awful lady. I would never want to cross paths with her.
*”That is an 8 foot fence”!* Well lying near the ground the way it was, it was only 2-3 feet. Keep your fence in good repair!
If the defendant wasn't responsible, she would have been screaming "that is not my dog" and that it belongs to.....
Just because the Vet report did not include the word "bite" or "puncture" doesn't mean Peanut wasn't in the other dogs mouth. The report does state "tissue damage"

The defendant was pretty sure aliens came down and commanded Mabelle to attack
😒 people like the defendant irritate me.
I think the fence that the judge thinks is falling apart is separate from the actual fence.
FIRST OF ALL... you don't SCREAM like a banshee...only elevates the situation. So many old women think screaming helps.... STAY calm
i bet the defendant sues the actual owner for at least half......

Well then sue your neighbor. The owner of the dog.
Referring to her own dog as “it” gives me the ick.

I would have asked for the defendant’s vets number.
