The live version and the album could not be more different. You would be forgiven for not realizing what a great song it is with all the flanging and detuning on the studio version. I feel like he wasn't ready to be as vulnerable as the song actually is, and tried to hide it behind a veneer of garishness. I think this performance reflects a more mature person, someone who has come to terms with the toxicity of the relationship at this point.
They've played this song a million times. Dener keeps checkin the Gener for signs of emotional distraught and it may be the best display of friendship I've seen on tape. But I'm 3 deep in some high life's and 4 deep into this video. Thanks for the share :)

Every time i listen to this song i get emotional. Her pain is through school (college) my pain is a lifetime and she thinks she could understand but she never could. Her family and life are so different from what mine ever was, and i dont blame her, but it of course hurts me when she says she understands. She has her whole family, ive come to the realization recently ill never have thay again. I still love her but it hurts knowing she'll never understand what i feel or where im coming from whether it be the problems with family, mental health, weight or much more.
