This is definitely in his top three! The vocals are incredible, not many people can pull that off. You have to watch closely just to see him take a breath and a couple times he doesn't and still belts it out! Deserves all of his success!
This song made Sept 3rd 2023 become all to real for me when my husband was found dead he died at half past 3am literally so it really had meaning to me and hit me hard
Luke combs is the only one who can get me to cry at some songs. This one got me and “Even Though I’m Leaving” heard the dog a few months after having my first son and fucking hell what a range of emotions I went through. Lol
If your a parent or sibling or friend you know that one phone call can change your whole life in seconds the fear you feel your heart racing in your throat the tears running down your face you have one mission and that's to get to your loved one as fast as you can. Ive gotten that phone call from my own baby sister and niece she was 1yrs old at the time thankfully they were okay but a couple of months later we got another call from my brother in law saying my sister in law was gone she was only 21. Kids don't understand we can always buy a new vehicle but we can't buy a new you. Please be careful stop playing with these vehicles they don't have feelings like our mothers and fathers and family.
Yup. I’m a lyricist and a vocalist/pianist….this song struck me through my heart with that line about the crash. Lost my little brother to a crash in 2014 😢❤
Man something about that line hits too hard
“They said he hit that guardrail at half past 3”
Right 😢😢😢😢
Bro I know it’s going to happen and it still breaks my heart
@@Ethanjohnathan Yeah, fr man.
Gets me everytime I hear it, especially it's use on TikTok
It gets me every single time.
Luke Combs is the real deal, a true story teller. Thanks for reacting to him!
He didn’t write it but yeah he’s great
i always get cold chills when that line "they said he hit that guardrail half past 3"

Fun fact, he doesnt have a brother nor is that story his! But he did a craxy good job portraying it and the emotion he puts in is eonderful
He never said he wrote it
@@brandonjones8868no but he said “oh his brother died?”

This song never gets old and it's a gut punch every time.

great story telling, in the 50's a man named Harlin Howard said country music is just 3 chords and the truth.
Every luke combs song is amazing and hits you in the feels

Celebration of life.
That dang guard rail 😢😢😢😢😢
Yep!! LIFE!! Thats country - Life !!
Songs are supposed to take you to a place. Or emotion or memory Good Bad and sometimes both. As a writer that’s what you strive for.

Yep.
It’s so intense but also it helps my pain that he’s an only child
I hope they make a video with characters don't you?!!!
His brother lived in California
I'm pretty sure Luke said in an interview he's an only child.
Then I play it a 100 times 😅
Everyone's reaction is the same.... 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
It’s not his story it’s a song
This was about his friend
he didn't make it on the voice
Written by Dave Turnbull and Randy Montana. Luke did a great job recording it.
