Omg thank you! I’ve had this washer for over a year 😂 i usually don’t use the dryer function cause i put everything on a rack but for a fluffy blanket i wanted it dried. AND I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW THE SCREEN WAS TOUCH OMG
Thank you so very very much I just barely got my machine it today so try to do a dryer load has been a real challenge I found your video and it has saved me some trouble.
Thanks for this video. Two things if you don't mind. (1) Can you make a video to go through all the dry cycle icons - even the book doesnt tell you what they are and mine has loads. (2) My previous separate wash dryer (separates) took 40 mins wash, 1h to dry. This LG combo of mine takes around 5h to dry and I am worried about the electricity bill because the previous was 1h40. And the clothes come out super hot, almost burnt in smell. And the load is always less than 8kg (around 5kg to be honest). Any ideas? Rang LG - they say its normal for the first few cycles. Now had it 6m and still doing the same. I'm thinking of getting a separate outside vent dryer to save the electricity. I bet this combo eats a heck of a lot. Thoughts?
hey there - I had intended to do a video as you described but I've recently sold the machine due to a house move (new place has a machine so had to go). In terms of speeding things up, you can do the quick wash and dry only, but I think that would still come in at around 2h30m/3h. You mention the 5kg load - that is the maximum for a dry cycle on an 8kg/5kg machine, so anything over that would cause issues. If it is still smelling burnt after multiple cycles, I am not sure what to suggest from there, sorry - it's likely dust inside the machine from the factory but it should burn off after a few cycles. As for consumption, it was the only combo I've had so nothing to compare to but yes, like all tumble dryers, it is likely high consumption. Hope that helps in some way, although not really the answers you were looking for. All the best, Steve.
No where near as good as a normal standalone dryer. 1. A stand alone dryer (esp with a vent tube going outside the house e.g through a window) is a 5 times quicker. My normal dryer took 1.5 hours to dry my clothes. This took 5h to dry my clothes 2. My clothes smell BURNT (even though they don't look burnt) in the LG dryer. In my normal vented cheap dryer - perfect - I could stop when I wanted to stop 3. The LG dryer - at the end of the drying cycle - clothes are extre3mely hot to touch and the barrel can even burn your skin! So be careful. My cheapo dryer - no problem in handling clothes or touching the drum So do I regret this dryer - yes yes yes. It is a good washing machine. It is a crap dryer. How do I use it? I dry my clothes for 1h - 2h - and then hang them out to dry or over the radiators to complete the drying process. If I dry completely with this LG machine, they smell burnt and I feel is damaging the fibres of the fabric. I hope that helps. Buy it for the washing machine, not the dryer. I'm planning to get a new cheap dryer (vented one witha tube going to the outside through a window in my case). And only use LG dryer when desperate. I also hate the fact that the LG manual is useless. There are lots of different symbols for the different levels of drying - but you wont know what these mean as they are not detailed very well what they mean. Manual talks about 3 of the symbols but not the other 4. Tried looking on youtube/internet - no joy. @@keketsomontshiwa3431
