i love the seldom verry first band they were great this band thoes them justice the three in haven would be proud of thes guys my favourette band since 73 when i seen them first in canada there still the best in my heart
Actually Dudley, Ronnie, and Fred Travers were hired by John Duffy. The only one that could not clain Scene senority is Rickie Simpkins. I dare say that not one of you who made the off the cuff comments have ever been where these gentlemen have been. Every one of these men have paid there dues. Try sitting up til 4am tomorrow morning and doing a little research. Look at the bands they have played in. In closing, I have traveled hundreds of miles just to hear the music that comes off the stage when this band climbs onto the stage. One of the top 5 bluegrass bands in the world.
Why a shame? Lou Reid on mandolin was member of Seldom Scene between 1986-1994 playing guitar and again since 1996 to present on mandolin, Ronnie Simpkins on bass is member since 1995, Dudley Connell on guitar also since 1995 and Fred Travers on dobro too...
