This album.. is what the world needs. Oh! yes! he can "rock". It´s more than good! This is MUSIC, not commercial famous songs. Chen is a name you mustn´t forget and always have it in your mind. As much as Chen is lauded, he's still so underrated. He's one of the industry's top tier singers and it's frustrating that more people don't know him. I didn't know who he was or EXO was until a few months ago and that's insane, considering the magnitude of that the talent. And I agree with you. SM can't possibly have any idea the magic they debuted together 12 years ago. ... But also, yeah I love rocker Chen! Check out the Drop That Live in Japan. My favorite solo albummmm letsgoooooooo. Btw another perfect album i can recommend is Suho's Grey Suit ...nostalgic and really a different experience. Japanese stuff always underrated unfortunately 😢 And i dont even need to speak about Chen's voice one of the best in the KPOP for sure. His vocal range is incredible. He is a tenor but he can go soprano and also baritone effortless. Exo always succeed bringing classic and new stuff. Especially now KPOP become somehow repetitive in style. And Exo has to voice that can carry what they bring. If SM wasn't stupid, they would be in a greater place right now. Since SM is coward and afraid of the power their groups hold. SM tries to shoot itself in the foot. ( English isn't my first language btw sorry about if i did mistakes )
TMI. I was a casual listener of EXO up until I accompanied my friend to watch EXO concert and watch Chen perform Light out and the rest is history! He is just standing in the stage and it was sooooo beautiful!!!!!

His live performance album is also available in Spotify and other music platform and really, he is more than just someone that sing ballad. His music is diverse and he capable in singing in a lot of range and genre. Recently he even got viral for singing TEARS in woman key that even better than the snippet he did back in 2017 and did a duet with Hynn for Highway in the Gale in 4key higher. He really is someone that you won't be disappointed to check out in terms of musicality and vocal. He also sing OST for Kdrama 'Doctor Slump' - The Way to Love Me that dropped few days ago. It's worth to check out.
Really appreciate you pointing out the low number of views for Light Of My Life. It is such a good song and it reaaalllyyy deserves more! And for saying that people should also check out Japanese releases. Polaris is his best album for me and people are missing out just because it's in Japanese. And he's really versatile. His voice any genre well, but one of the genres he does best is rock for sure. FREE WORLD is a perfect example for this. A looot of people love it. How you reacted to it was how I reacted to it the very first time I listened to it. Definitely an experience! And you losing your mind over On The Road and Mirage of Flower is so real, haha! All of us also lost our minds when those were released. My Sunshine is a song for his fans and it's such a good and sweet song. Also really like how you called out SM. They really did a poor job promoting the album. They could have still promoted the song properly even though the album was under Avex because Chen was still their talent. But they didn't promote it at all. It was probably because Chen (together with Baekhyun and Xiumin) filed a lawsuit against SM, but the patched that up before the album was released and the three stayed with the company. Very unprofessional of SM for not treating their artist right. Anyway, I really love your reaction overall! You genuinely appreciated all the songs and the album. And you appreciated Chen's talent.
