Chen Japanese album is very different to his other 3 albums. My favourite is still his first one "April and a flower" but "Last scene" and "Dear my dear" are amazing too.😊

Chen really opted to have variety of music genres on this album since he felt that his discography so far is a little limited. i really enjoyed & applaud his efforts to improve & he really listens to his fans suggestions as well. please check out his new soundtrack called The Way to Love Myself. thanks for reacting to Chen!

This album is my favorite. As years of being a Chen fan we waited for rock chen like years...when i first heard break out and free world oh god i was going crazy. Chen finally heard us and give these masterpieces and since it is japanese i can sing along with him ( it is easier for me to pronounce japanese )

Last year he had his tour in Japan after putting out this album and all of his performances were with a live band, so it was amazing! Spend an hour? I didn't realize, I really enjoyed your reaction. What can I say about Chen? He is wonderful; he is the kind of person you can only appreciate and love. His voice is so beautiful, and he conveys so many feelings; Just as you experienced it, he can take you from sadness and loneliness to joy and joy. I hope you can listen to his three albums (in Korean): "April and a Flower" is an album full of very beautiful but very sad songs, that even without knowing the language, can make you cry and make your heart hurt; "Dear My Dear" is the second album where you can feel his happiness, optimism, joy from him. Chennn The SINGER The ARTIST that He Is. Chen as a lyricist is so underrated as well. Not just singer and a performer. Many people think he sings only ballad, they dont that he was a part of a rock band before exo debut. This man can do any genre.

Dear Pierre, this reaction video of yours made me very happy. Because I can understand that your interest in music stems from your knowledge as well as your love. In the civilization I live in, scholars learned a foreign language in order to understand a foreign poem or a foreign book. They would only do this for that one little text they liked very much. As you know, this album by dear Chen is in Japanese. And the excellent songs in this album, especially the song Free World, made me want to learn the Japanese language and understand Chen's emotional state while singing the song. I don't want to say bias, but the person who connects me to the Exo group was Kai, my spiritual lover and soul mate lol. When Kai was going to the military, he suggested a song for every occasion so that we could listen to his songs all the time (oh my sweet voice Kai). Anyway, despite this situation, I listened to Chen's album almost more. I mean, Chen is an amazing vocalist. Listening to him with love and listening knowingly are different. Since you play guitar, I was especially curious about your reaction to the electric guitar sounds in the song Free World. Thank you for satisfying my curiosity. I also thanked God for giving you, who are so interested in music, the opportunity to meet this album. My education is in music and I wouldn't want you to experience the loss of not listening to this album. I wish you a good day and a week with lots of reactions. Thanks for this in depth listening party for Chen’s first Japanese album! It’s definitely my favorite of his solos albums because of all the different genre of songs. If you want more of the retro sound like My Sunshine, try EXO-CBX’s album Blooming Day.
There's a new video of him recently singing "Tears" with Hynn. It's a short clip but please check it out. Chen's vocals is just WOW.

Many kpop idols sing Japanese songs and albums but for me just this album gives jpop and japan vibe strongly
Free world gives me anime opening vibe and i love it
He is very good at emotional songs like his 3 Korean album are ballad and so emotional, and his single "Hello" made all of us cry
Last song "My Sunshine" he sang this one for his fans and it has great letter to us so it's a bright song surely but in fact he is our sunshine

My favourite song from this album is definitely Mirage of flower. What I like about this album is it's really versatile in terms of songs unlike his usual Korean songs I guess. I certainly wasn't expecting something like this. So it was a pleasant surprise to me. I loved this album so much. Chen is a master of music and vocals for sure.

But, I confess that the voice that most captured my senses was, without a doubt, CHEN's. Powerful, yet smooth, sweet and especially clean and clear. I don't have technical knowledge, but that's how I feel. After watching several shows, such as EXO's LADDER, his personality confirmed my personal taste, a reserved but very loud, fun kid with a big heart. And always, in any situation, using his voice, humming perfectly.

I think ppl often overlook it because Chen has a very powerful voice and "Can Hit Every Note" lol but I think one of his special skill is his dynamic control and emotion when he's singing.. that's why we can feel whatever emotion the song trying to give just by hearing his voice, without knowing the lyrics, or seeing his expression 😌

Its not power exactly but like ocean waves, they keep pushing and are relentless and inevitable. The song really gives this feeling that this is the only way this (the relationship probably) can end.

This is my favourite Chen album. I can't understand the lyrics but I love all the sounds! The first time I listened to Free World I closed my eyes and felt floating in the air. I also never knew I'd like blues. My Sunshine is a song for his fanse so it also makes sense it felt happy

Thanks for this album gives us a chance to explore a different side of Chen. For his Korean albums, it shows more ballad side of him. “Free world”, “Mirage of flower” and “ break out” are my favourites in this album.

It was fun and as educational as usual listening to these songs with your reactions, Pierre! These songs are brilliant and so well composed and so beautifully executed. You're right! Light of My Life really does have a 90s vibe, but I also can hear an old school 50s approach mixed in. Maybe because the 90s vibe tapped into that? But it is super catchy, a real pleasant earworm for me for days and days after I first heard it.
Also, it's neat how well we learn YOU as you react, Pierre. When Free World started, I was thinking "I bet he's gonna work out that guitar bit when he's done." But you couldn't help but pick it up right away! I chuckled a little. ... It's great to hear Chen stretch more of his skills. He's so good.
