With Carries outfits you either loved it or hated it! There was never an in between.
I had a love-hate relationship with it
I feel Samantha Jones was the true style icon. Carrie's style was quirky and somewhat eccentric but Samantha was often chic and put together.
Missing a TV show like these this days! especially for us, girls in our 40's & 50's who literally learned about men and dating watching SATC
Charlotte's classic style has always been my favourite, even more the older I get 🤗
The green skirt with the puffy stuff was just bizarre.
It was fantastic show ...even men were watching to get tips....loved SATC. Good days ....they all were young in their 30s. Kim in her 40s and looking good.👍❤️❤️

This is why we loved SATC!! Great writing, great clothes, funny, witty, tender, sexy, heartbreaking moments!! AJLT doesn't even resemble it... its actually painful to watch. So sad.

I enjoyed AJLT and looking forward to season 2. As much as it was complained about it was big hit for peacock.

@@shepherd6746 I didn't find it that way. This isn't 1998 anymore and they are 20+ years older now. Life moves on not out partying all the time. Sam wouldn't have really worked in the show and would have been the really sad one at this point.

Hello from Paris. SATC corresponded to its time. The alignment of the planets was optimal, the convergence was perfect between the protagonists, their age, the places, the city, the time and the freedom of expression. It's the exact opposite of AJLT and this is why this final season so anachronistic.
I would choose Samantha if I was looking for someone and here is why because she seems down to earth and is lots of fun to be with.

I always loved Charlotte because she was cultured, classy, and very true to herself. It’s funny because she and Samantha (even though they’re kinda opposites) always knew exactly what they wanted. Miranda and Carrie seemed more toxic and confused with what they wanted.
They were my favorite. I do find it funny how the most opposite are the ones i can identify most with. Lol.

John Corbett was a catch, he was so attractive on this show (esp. when he had long hair), but Aidan was just different from her, and kind of pushy. He could be obnoxious. He was nurturing and pushy by turns. People are so hard on Carrie for wanting a little independence: they way he behaved when her laptop broke pissed me off. And having lived in a house with no air conditioning and no car at my disposal for many months on end...if my boyfriend expected me to give up my weekends to live in a house with nothing to do but bake in the sun and screw...welp. I wouldn't enjoy it. (I like squirrels fine but lots of people are afraid of them...because they can still bite when spooked. They're bold. I wouldn't want one sitting in my window or trying to come into the house.)
Big was a jerk but they were a better match and the whole point was that he finally grew up to meet her in the middle (not that you can count on that in real life.)
Although I agree AJLT is a terrible disappointment: no Big (good job screwing that up, Chris Noth), no Samantha, barely any boyfriends, terrible writing...just a waste

It worries me how few of you can see how Aiden was incredibly manipulative to her in this season. Holding Big's phone call over her head and even slapping the nicotine patch on her. Telling her she can never see someone again (frustration over the past is one thing, but you can't control people). Using marriage as an excuse to keep her away from other men. Abuse takes many forms! Aiden from S3 was the perfect man you all keep holding onto.
I never liked Aiden. He has always been manipulative boyfriend.
In a monogamous relationship you shouldn't call the ex you cheated on your current with, she promised to quit a habit which is bad for her, he told her she couldn't have both him and Big that's not the same thing as "you can never see him again", marriage was what he wanted the whole time. She lied about her feelings for Big, she lied about her desire to get married, she treated her friends better than him.

I always look back at this episode and I struggle to find a scientific reason for the rash. 1, did she have a panic attack and it manifested on the skin… in that possible? 2, is it possible for wedding gown store fail to disinfect the dress and she develop a rash? 3, are there fabrics that are simply not hypoallergenic? I refuse to accept the reason that her ‘body’ is literally rejecting marriage. It’s the mind that rejects not the body.
