For the music theory for bass - the chord in a Major key, do I have to say the degrees or chords( like in the video) out loud?

Mark is a genius....He makes the most complicated riffs easy to learn by breaking it down and getting to the meat without too much talk or theory...love it!! My playing has jumped to a higher level. Thank you Mark from Canada! 😎😎

I wasn't aware he'd passed. So sad. What a legend. I was lucky to see him live with both the Electric Band & the Acoustic Band, absolutely amazing!

Many thanks for this kind of stuff!!.
Deconstructing note by note how to play intrincate and/or relatively intrincate lines is very needed sometimes. I can't read music sheets and tutorials like this normaly exist only for very easy songs, which is only helpful for very recent newbies.

    Hi Mark!
That was awsome, lines like these are so crystal clear in your hands. You are so good at demystifying jazz. I learn a lot from you. I would like to see a video about some tips on how to improvise a walkingbass on a certain note. Not in patterns like I II V, but for example, when I'm playing with someone who asks me to simple walk with the bass in Am or F#. I always find this situation embarrassing, cuz i find it difficult to make a cyclical walkingline. Can you help me to demystify this on major and minor scales? Thanks a lot!

I also find tricky the best fingering for the opening phrase of the tune. Any ideas about how to tackle it the best?
Oh, and thanks to Mark for the vid, of course.
