Canelo body punches are OP in this game, I was wiping everyone down with ray Leonard then I went up against a really good canelo fighter so I tried him after he's a beast in this game
He definitely a mean pick. Every time I’ve come across a canelo it’s been a W for me, though. People too reliant on the body work was peoples big issue. But mannnn he’s a savage.
It's a part of canelos movement. You have to time the directional changes with his animations. Soon as his foot plants, change directions. And then keep going back and fourth. Only works in his base stance. It's how I cut the ring off easily with him.
@@FrankDaShooter-x5z he’s definitely one of my go tos now. I love the slower feel and the likeness. He also hits hard enough that people can become respectful and begin fighting a little more realistically. Canelo has a way of demanding respect in there.
4:51 I would say I agree that the lead & rear body hooks animations DOES NOT look good, at all….Its very stiff, lacking fluidity & explosiveness….But I don’t see too many fighters irl, consistently pivoting while throwing those same shots….Maybe a Soviet style fighter or a very, very athletic fighter but most of them don’t use that tactic either….Probably Loma, Usyk, Bivol, Shawn Porter, RJJ, etc have the footwork or athleticism to pull it off….Most fighters are stationary with their feet AND head WHILE going to the body….The difference is they can torque & rotate their bodies & punch from all types of angles to hit their target with precision (very fluid & flowing)….Of course, we don’t have that option with preset animations (unless every fighter had their own authentic body punches)….So I’m torn lol….Because your method looks better visually gameplay wise but not necessarily realistic/authentic from a fighter’s perspective….
You def wont see too many people roll with a body hook, probably EVER lmao! But it’s the best way to get it off fluid in the game. And I can sleep at night knowing that if nothing else, it looks like my fighter is putting his hips into it now. 😅😂
